The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education conducts the IBSAT exam. IBSAT is a management entrance test for admission to its MBA/PGDM programmes. Authorities have announced the IBSAT exam date. IBSAT 2024 exam will be held on December 28 and December 29, 2024. With just a handful number of days left, all aspirants must be on their toes all the time to finish their last-minute preparation. It is also the right time to be mindful of IBSAT 2024 exam day checklist/dos and don’ts besides just having a stronghold over the IBSAT syllabus. Due to the ongoing pandemic, IBSAT 2024 for the December session will be held in remote proctored online mode (home-based test). Hence, candidates must be aware of the important points that have to be taken care of while taking the home-based exam. Check out some of these points below.

IBSAT Exam Day Checklist/ Dos to Remember

  1. Download the admit card from the official website. The IBSAT admit card is the most important document of proof of all the candidates appearing for IBSAT 2024 exam.
  2. Candidates must check the wifi connection for a stable internet connection while taking the exam.
  3. Sit in a calm corner of the home to avoid any kind of distractions.
  4. Check your webcam before beginning the exam.
  5. Keep a copy of IBSAT 2024 admit card ready on the desktop. 
  6. Keep the device charged well in advance.
  7. Ensure that the webcam and mic are working properly while giving an examination.
  8. Ensure proper lighting in the room.
  9. Take the exam from a silent place in the home.
  10. The webcam must focus on the face and be visible in the camera.
  11. Candidates must capture the photo before beginning the examination.
  12. Candidates must wear transparent and non-reflecting glasses/lenses
  13. The water bottle must be transparent and must be kept beside it before the start of the examination.
  14. Do log in only after 3 mins to resume your examination in case your examination crashes.
  15. Appearing for the IBSAT mock test 2024 is mandatory
  16. Candidates must be available for the complete duration of the exam.

Note: Along with the necessary documents, candidates also need to report early on the exam day as security checks and other important formalities consume much of the time of the candidate. In the case of an online exam from home, candidates must check the necessary IT requirements beforehand.

Things to Remember for IBSAT 2024 Exam day

The IBSAT exam will have in total of 140 questions; aspirants have to cover it in 120 minutes. Without haste, attempt each of the questions. The ideal step is to read the entire IBSAT question paper carefully before directly starting to answer them.

Q:   When will be IBSAT exam conducted?

A:

IBSAT 2024 will be held on December 28 and December 29. IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education for admission to MBA/PGPM programmes offered by IBS campsues. IBSAT will be a Computer Based Test conducted for a duration of two hours. IBSAT exam is conducted to assess candidates in quantitative techniques, data adequacy, data interpretation, reading comprehension and analytical reasoning. IBSAT question paper will include 140 multiple choice questions of one mark each. There will be no negative marking for any incorrect answers or not attempted questions. Candidates having scores in GMAT/NMAT by GMAC/XAT/CAT (from 2022 onwards) will be exempted from taking IBSAT 2024 exam. 

Q:   Does IBS Mumbai accept CAT score for MBA?

A:

Yes, aspirants with a valid score of CAT can apply for IBS Mumbai PGPM course. In addition, candidates with a 60 percentile and above CAT score are exempted from writing the IBSAT 2023 exam. Moreover, apart from this, it is also crucial that the aspirants fulfil the course-specific eligibility requirements as prescribed by the ICFAI Business School, Mumbai. Q:   What is the eligibility of MBA at IBS Bangalore?

A:

IBS Bangalore requires a graduation degree with a 50% with the medium of instruction as English. The candidate must have completed a minimum of 15 years of education for MBA/PGDM admissions. Note: Aspirants cannot keep any material printed or written, paper bits while giving exam. For rough work and calculations, students can keep scratch papers to use during the test.

There are certain Don’ts to follow for IBSAT exam. Check them below.

  1. Candidates must not talk to anyone or refer to any study material. This will lead to disqualification.
  2. Candidates are advised not to use the keyboard while taking the examination. 
  3. Candidates will not be allowed to start the exam from multiple devices.
  4. The face must not be covered with a mask, hair, clothing, hand etc.
  5. There should be no background noise/music/television.
  6. Avoid sitting in the dimly lit rooms while giving the home-based exam.
  7. Don't use mobile hotspots as it creates instability
  8. Avoid sitting in the noisy areas of the home. Also, no family member must be in the same room as of candidate. 
  9. Candidates must avoid excessive neck moments while taking the IBSAT 2024 exam. Excessive movement may lead to disqualification of the candidature.
  10. If you think you have not touched any of the topics from IBSAT 2024 syllabus while preparing, avoid preparing for such topics a day before the exam. It will leave you anxious.
  11. As one needs to complete 140 questions in 120 minutes and save at least 15 minutes for revision, avoid wasting time on questions that the candidate is unsure about the answer to it. They can come back to answer them only when they are through with all that they know.
  12. Do not forget to carry all the documents required.

Q:   Does ICFAI Business School Gurgaon accept CAT score?

A:

You can apply to the MBA and other management programs at ICFAI Business School (IBS) Gurgaon using your CAT results. But in order to apply, keep the following  points in mind:-

  1. Exam scores from other exams, such as XAT, MAT, CMAT, and ATMA, are also accepted in addition to CAT results.
  2. CAT results are taken into account by IBS Gurgaon as one of the eligibility requirements for admission to its MBA programme and other management programs.
  3. For the CAT, candidates are shortlisted for subsequent rounds such as group discussions and personal interviews based on their overall and sectional percentile results.
  4. Every year is different when it comes to the minimum CAT percentile needed to be eligible is above 70.

Q:   When will be IBSAT selection rounds conducted?

A:

IBSAT selection process commences soon after the declaration of results. IBSAT 2024 selection rounds will be held from February 15 to 24, 2025, at IBS Hyderabad. Only candidates who will qualify the IBSAT 2024 or have qualified any of the national level entrance examinations- NMAT by GMAC, CAT, XAT scores are also called for the selection process during the prescribed period. The IBSAT 2024 selection process will consist of micro presentation and personal interview. Te final selection of the candidates will be based on the past academic records and performance of the candidate in micro presentation and personal interview. Candidates must report for the IBS selection process on the given date and time, failing which candidates will not be considered for admission to IBS campuses.

Q:   What is the BBA eligibility at IBS Hyderabad?

A:

  •  A pass in Class 12 or equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate and above in English Medium is required to apply for IBS Hyderabad BBA course.
  • Aspirants must fulfill the minimum age requirements as prescribed by the respective board via which the student has appeared for the qualifying exam.
  • If an applicant is found ineligible even at a later date, after admission into the programme will be cancelled.
  • Applicants who have appeared for Class 12 or equivalent and awaiting results are also eligible to apply provided they are done with their exams (including practical exams).
