IISER 2024 Round 6 seat allotment result was released by the exam official on August 26, 2024, at 5 pm, for the candidates who had applied for IISER 2024 counselling process. Candidates can visit the official website or can directly check it on this page, the participating university and the category-wise closing rank of candidates. Selected candidates in the IISER 2024 admission list will get admission to the BS-MS dual degree/ BS degree programme offered by IISERs, IISc Banglore and IIT Madras. The last date to accept the allocated seat and payment of seat acceptance fees is August 28, 2024 till 5 pm.

IAT results 2024 were released on June 25, 2024, on the official website. The result will be available online in the pdf format. IISER released the All India Rank (AIR) and Category Rank in the IISER result 2024 pdf. No scorecards were released. IISER 2024 admissions will not only provide admissions at IISER institutions but from this academic session 2024-2025, IAT 2024 will also provide admissions to programmes like Bachelor of Science (Research) and BS-Medical Sciences and Engineering at IISC Banglore and IIT Madras respectively. Q: When will the first round of admissions start for the IISER 2025 entrance exam?
Once IISER result is declared, a seat allotment list is declared containing roll numbers of candidates who are allocated seats in BSMS programme through different channels (SCB, KVPY JEE). Candidates can check the first round allotment list on the official website of the exam on July 15, 2025, Tentatively. All candidates whose roll numbers appear in the first round allotment list need to log in to their application portal to download the offer letters.

The portal for document upload and freezing of IISER preferences for IISER 2025 Admissions can be done in the window period in the month of July 2025, tentatively. After accepting the offer and paying seat acceptance fee, the candidate can exercise two options:
- Candidate can FREEZE the seat (they will not participate in further rounds of counselling),
- Candidate can FLOAT (they will participate in further rounds of counselling to get their higher preferences). The FLOAT option is activated by default for those who pay the seat acceptance fee. A student who has chosen to FLOAT will be again considered for seat allocation in the next round. If they are eligible to secure a seat in an IISER that is higher in their preference list than the currently accepted one, they will be offered that seat.

Q: What are the IISER 2024 Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) refund rules?
Rules related to withdrawal/refund of Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF):
1. The application fee paid during filling up the application form is not refundable.
2. Refund policy for the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) is given below:
- The candidate can withdraw his/her seat by selecting the option “WITHDRAW SEAT” in the application portal. No other form/method of withdrawal is accepted. Email or phone communication in this regard shall not be entertained.
- Once a candidate has withdrawn, he/she will not be considered for further rounds of counseling/admission process. A withdrawn candidate cannot re-enter the admission process under any circumstances.
There are two important withdrawal dates:
? Round-wise withdrawal (RW) date, and
? Final withdrawal (FW) date. RW and FW dates can be found below. - If a candidate withdraws from the counselling process before RW deadline, then no cancellation fee will be applicable, i.e., the entire SAF (after the deduction of bank charges, if applicable) will be refunded.
- If a candidate withdraws after the RW deadline, but before the FW deadline, then a non-refundable administrative fee will be deducted which is ?10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) for GEN/OBC/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwD/KM and Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (non-migrants) candidate and ?5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) for SC/ST candidates.
- Once a candidate has withdrawn the seat through the counselling portal, the amount due will be refunded to the bank account provided in the IISER Preference Form. Such candidates do not need to take any additional steps towards their SAF refund. All efforts will be made to ensure that the refunds are processed within 15 working days after the withdrawal.
- The Seat Acceptance Fee will be eventually transferred to the IISER which the candidate finally registers at, and the respective IISER will adjust the fees that may be applicable, locally from the candidate upon registration at the particular IISER. Any withdrawal after the FW deadline will be taken care by that particular IISER following the instructions given below.
- If the candidate fails to join in-person at the offered IISER on the joining date mentioned in the offer letter of the respective IISER, the cancellation fee decided by the concerned IISER will be applicable.
- Further, a candidate who has paid the SAF but fails to show up by the last date of admission fee payment at the concerned IISER, will not be considered for further rounds of admission.
- If the candidate decides to discontinue after joining any particular IISER, the refund policy of that IISER will be applicable.
IISERs and JAC are not liable for losses incurred if an application is not withdrawn in the above manner on or before the stipulated date and time.
Q: When will the IISER 2025 entrance exam notification releasing?
The official notification for the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2025 has not yet been released by the Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs). However, based on the previous year's schedule, it is expected to be released in the third week of March 2025. The IAT 2025 is the entrance exam for admission to the IISERs, which are premier institutions in India for Science education and research.
The IAT 2025 notification will contain important information for candidates, such as the eligibility criteria, application procedure, exam dates, syllabus, and selection process.
Q: What items are not permissible to be carried at IISER exam centres?
The following items or objects will not be allowed to be carried to the IISER 2025 exam centres.
- Stationery items such as test-based material (written/printed), papers, notes, Pencil box, pouches, geometry box, pen, scale/ruler, eraser, etc.
- Electronic devices such as calculators, cameras, electronic pens, scanners, etc.
- Accessories such as bags, belts, caps, goggles, wallets, etc.
- Devices used for communication such as mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth, fitness bands, earphones, pager, etc.
- Eatables (packed or home-cooked), thermos, etc.

IISER 2024 Counselling Process
IAT 2024 entrance exam counselling process will be done by IISER Pune. All the participating institutes will take part in the counselling process. There is no need for the candidates to visit any IISER in person during the counselling process. Candidates are requested to visit the official website to check whether they have received any offer of seat by IISERs (The IISER preferences that candidates had earlier frozen). The offer letter that the candidates are getting is purely based on the merit list scores that they have achieved in the IAT 2024 examination.
Below are the key points that the candidate needs to remember or keep in mind during the IISER 2024 Counselling Process. The counselling process contains the following events:
- Filling up the online application cum counselling form
- Preference Filling and Programme selection
- Seat Allocation and Rules
- Subsequent rounds of Allocation
- Upgrade or Freeze

How to Fill IISER 2024 Decision-Making Form
After the declaration of the IAT 2024 seat allotment list, candidates whose AIR rank lies in the released closing rank list will then have two options ie., accept or reject the seat. Candidates can check out how to fill out the IISER 2024 decision-making form by following the below-mentioned steps:
- Visit the IAT 2024 official website and log in to your registered account with the help of login credentials i.e., username and password.
- then click on the submit reference tab present on the left corner of the system.
- Next “Click Here to Submit Your Decision”
- You will see this kind of offer letter once you click “Click here to download the offer letter”. This is a sample offer letter.
- Click “DECISION MAKING” and then click “Click Here to View Allotted Seat”
- Click “Generate OTP” to go to the next page
- Enter the captcha to receive the OTP
- Check your registered mobile number and/or email ID for the OTP
- Validate the OTP received on your registered mobile number and/or email address
- Once the OTP is validated successfully this pop-up will come
- After validating the OTP, you need to select one of the options. Candidates who received their 1st choice will not see the FLOAT (I WANT TO ACCEPT AND FLOAT MY SEAT PREFERENCE) option
- Please select the option carefully and click “Proceed”. Once submitted, NO FURTHER CHANGES WILL BE ALLOWED.
IISER 2024 Seat Acceptance Process
Candidates can go through the following information :
- If a candidate receives an admission offer, he/she can either choose to accept the seat OR reject it. If a candidate rejects the offered seat or if no action is taken by the candidate before the deadline, then the candidate will not be able to participate in further rounds of counselling.
- If a candidate receives an offer, then to accept the seat offered, the student must pay a seat acceptance fee through online mode before the prescribed deadline. If the seat acceptance fee is not paid, the candidate will not be considered for admission in subsequent allocation rounds.
After accepting the offer and paying seat acceptance fee, the candidate can exercise two options:
- Candidate can FREEZE the seat (they will not participate in further rounds of counselling),
- Candidates can FLOAT (they will participate in further rounds of counselling to get their higher preferences). The FLOAT option is activated by default for those who pay the seat acceptance fee.
A student who has chosen to FLOAT will be considered for seat allocation againin the next round. If they are eligible to secure a seat in an IISER that is higher in their preference list than the currently accepted one, they will be offered that seat.
IISER 2024 Seat Acceptance Fees Details
The Seat Acceptance Fee is to be paid only after an offer of admission has been made to the candidate. The SAF will have to be paid as per the category entered by the candidate in the application.
- INR 35,000/- (INR 25,000/- + INR 10,000/- (Non refundable administrative fee)) for General/EWS/OBC/OBC-NCL/PwD/KM/Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) categories.
- INR 17,500/- (INR 12,500/- + INR 5000/- (Non refundable administrative fee)) for SC/ST categories.
- Failure to deposit the SAF within the stipulated time will result in the cancellation of the offer. Furthermore, you will not be considered in any subsequent rounds of seat allotment during admission 2024.
- Once you register in your allotted IISER, this amount will be adjusted against your first semester fee.
IISER Entrance Exam 2024 Results
IISER merit list/ result carries the roll numbers and/or names of candidates qualifying for the integrated MSc entrance exam. Candidates had to download their scorecards by entering their login credentials. The scorecard carries the information on sectional and overall scores, percentile and All India Rank (AIR). The scorecards should also be preserved till the IISER 2023 admission process is over.
Steps to download IISER Entrance Exam 2024 Results
Students can follow the below-mentioned steps on how to check the IISER Entrance Exam results which are as follows:
Step 1: The candidate will have to first visit the official website of ‘IISER Admissions’- https://iiseradmission.in/ or https://cdn.digialm.com/EForms/configuredHtml/2245/88215/login.html
Step 2: The candidate will have to click on ‘IISER Entrance Exam Results SCB’.
Step 3: Click on the results and the candidate will be directed to a new page on the website.
Step 4: Enter the log in credentials such as ‘Email ID’ and ‘Password’.
Step 5: The candidate’s scorecard will be viewed.
Step 6: The candidate can download and take a print out of the IISER Entrance Exam scorecard. Keep the scorecard as it will be handy for future references
IISER Entrance Exam 2024 Answer Key
The release date for the IISER Entrance Exam 2024 was June 9, 2024. The answer keys of IISER 2024 will be sent to candidates' registered email addresses along with their answer scripts. Candidates can check the correct answer and calculate their estimated score and hence gauge their admission chances to the IISER participating institutes through email.

IAT 2024 Final answer key was released on June 21, 2024, on the official website. IISER 2024 scorecard will be based on the IISER final answer key 2024 released. Candidates can no longer raise objections against the final answer key.
Test takers were also allowed to raise objections against the released IISER answer key 2024. Students' response sheet for IISER exam 2024 was released on the official website on June 12, 2024. The IAT 2024 answer key objection fee to submit an objection against each answer key was INR 200.

Steps to Access Official IAT Mock Test 2024
Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps to gain access to the official IAT 2024 mock test:
Step 1: Visit the official website of IAT 2024
Step 2: Navigate to the ‘'Examination’ tab
Step 3: Look for ‘Mock Test Links’ in the drop-down menu
Step 4: Click on the IAT paper/subject
Step 5: Click on the 'Sign In' button (The login details are already filled in)
Step 6: Read the instructions and click on 'Next'
Step 7: Check the box for 'agree to the terms and conditions'
Step 8: Click on 'I am ready to begin'

Marking scheme: Candidates will be awarded three marks for each correct answer. There will be a negative marking of one mark for each incorrect answer.
IISER Entrance Exam 2024 Syllabus
The IISER 2024 syllabus will be declared by the examination conducted in the information brochure after the application process for the IISER Entrance Exam 2024 starts. Questions in the IISER exam are asked from topics present in the syllabus of Class 11 and 12 books. IISER 2024 exam question paper carried questions from the sections- Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. IISER Entrance Exam 2024 Admit Card
IISER 2024 Admit Card will be released on June 1, 2024. Registered candidates will be able to download it by entering their registration credentials. The IISER 2024 admit card carries information such as personal details, exam date and time, exam center address and exam day guidelines and instructions. IISER 2024 Entrance Exam admit card is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam center. The IISER admit card 2024 will be available only online, and candidates must preserve it until the exam's counselling or admission process is complete.
How to Download the IISER Entrance Exam Admit Card?
The candidate will have to follow the below-mentioned steps on how to download the IISER Entrance Exam admit card which is as follows:
Step 1: The candidate will have to first visit the official website of IISER Admissions- https://iiseradmission.in/
Step 2: Once the candidate is on the homepage of the official website of IISER Admissions, the candidate will have to search for the tab ‘IISER Admit Card’.
Step 3: Click on the link and the candidate will be directed to a new page on the website.
Step 4: Enter the credentials as required such as Login ID and Password.
Step 5: The candidate’s admit card will be viewed. Check the details on the IISER Entrance Exam admit card carefully.
Step 6: Download and take out at least two print outs of the admit card. One can be kept as back up as it will be required for future purposes.
IISER Entrance Exam 2024 Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be Indian nationals or PIO or OCI in order to apply through KVPY or IAT channel. Candidates who are NOT Indian nationals or PIO or OCI can apply for admission only through the JEE (Advanced) channel.
- Candidates must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) exam with science stream in 2022 or 2024 from any board recognized by the Council of Boards of School Education in India COBSE.
- Candidates must have taken at least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) exam.
- Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD should have scored a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) exam. Candidates belonging to other categories should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) exam.
IISER Entrance Exam 2024 Application Form
IISER 2024 Application form was started on April 1, 2024. The IISER Entrance Exam 2024 application form is available in online mode on the official website of the exam. Candidates need to first register by providing their personal and educational details. After receiving the IISER 2024 registration credentials via email and SMS, they have to log in again and fill up the IISER application form with the rest of the personal, and academic details, exam city preference, course preference and document upload. After all details on the IISER application form are filled in, candidates need to pay the application fee. Candidates could make the payment of the IISER 2024 application fee online (through credit/ debit card/net banking) mode.

What is IISER Entrance Exam 2024?
Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) conducts an entrance exam in order to provide admission to candidates in the five-year-long BS-MS dual and BS degree programmes offered by them. On the basis of a candidate’s score in the IISER entrance exam (also known as IISER aptitude test), he/she can secure admission at IISER located in Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram, or Tirupati.
