A:
{Source: M.A. students & alumni}

Assam University offers a Master's degree programme in Manipuri Language and Literature, which is a unique course that focuses on the language, literature, history, and culture of Manipur. Here's what past students and alumni have said about their experience:

Pros:

* Good faculty: The professors are knowledgeable and passionate about their subject, making classes engaging and informative.
* Relevant curriculum: The course covers a wide range of topics related to Manipuri language, literature, history, and culture, providing a solid foundation for research, teaching, and cultural preservation.
* Well-maintained infrastructure: The university has modern classrooms, laboratories, and recreational facilities, ensuring a conducive environment for learning.
* Placements: While the placement record may not be outstanding, some students have secured jobs in government organizations, educational institutions, and media outlets.

Cons:

* Limited placement opportunities: Companies rarely visit the campus for recruitment, and students may need to rely on their own efforts to secure a job.
* Low stipend for interns: Internships are available, but the stipend is relatively low (Rs. 8,000 - Rs. 10,000 per month).

Cachar College, Silchar is really good.
Placements: 35% of students were placed in our course. All chemical recruitment industries are available for our course. 5% of students got internships in the chemical industry. CEO roles are offered in our course. Very high-quality students are available in our college, and many facilities are available in our college.
Infrastructure: Our hostel is very beautiful. There is a garden in our hostel that is very awesome. Light, fan, and inverter are also available in our hostel. Wi-Fi and classrooms are available, but the library is not available. The food quality is very good, and the cook is also very good and clean.
Faculty: The teaching quality is very good. Our teachers are friendly with us, and all teachers are highly qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable. Yes, our semester exam duty is very tough, with 4 to 5 teachers in one room on exam duty. The pass percentage is 95%, and the results are also the best.

Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm.) - Batch of 2027

The campus environment is quite refreshing and the faculty is knowledgeable.
Placements: Placements of students placed typically range from 50% to 80% depending on the college. The highest packages go from 8 to 10 lacs in top universities. Top pharmaceutical companies are Cipla, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Glenmark, etc. The percentage of students getting internships is 60%–90%. Top roles offered involve production and manufacturing, sales and marketing, research and development, hospital pharmacy, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are okay and comfortable. Labs are there for pharmaceutics, organic chemistry, analysis, etc. Library with a good book collection and study space. Wi-Fi is there in our university, but the speed is not good. Hostels are clean, furnished with rooms, and have Wi-Fi. Food is hygienic, and varied meals are served. Medical facilities are good. Also, there is a health center. Indoor-outdoor games and gym are provided.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable. Teaching quality is average. Curriculum relevance is designed to meet pharmaceutical needs. Yes, it makes the students industry-ready as it includes internships, lab work, and industrial exposure. Semester exams difficulty level is moderate, focused on conceptual questions. Pass percentage typically from 80% - 90% depending on efforts.
Other: I chose B. pharma because of my interests in medicine and health care and diverse career options. The best things about the course are practical training and an industry-relevant curriculum. Modern classrooms, better research opportunities, industry connections, modernized labs, etc., are there. Different events such as cultural, training, and sport fests. Campus crowd is diverse and friendly. Connectivity is good because of good transportation. Scholarships are merit- and need-based. The campus surroundings are good and quite safe, also refreshing. Extracurricular activities are also there, such as active clubs for sports and many more.

Improvements Needed in Infrastructure and Placement.
Placements: Companies such as Capgemini and Deloitte are frequent visitors for recruitment and also offer limited internship opportunities. The placement rate stands at around 60%, with the highest package offered being 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: There are a sufficient number of classrooms for various electives and batches, and the classroom size is decent. CCTV cameras are in place for security purposes. However, the labs could be improved, as there is a lack of sufficient equipment. Additionally, the medical assistance facility might need enhancement.
Faculty: The difficulty of exams depends on the semesters, the choice of electives, and, to some extent, the professors. While the professors are helpful and nice, they tend to be strict when it comes to exams and future planning. The curriculum is good and sufficient for physics.

The experience was pretty decent.
Placements: No placement was offered after graduation. Some students went on to do their Masters, while others opted for other jobs. A very small number of students were selected for internships based on their skills, not their graduation course.
Infrastructure: The labs and classrooms are decent, and the hostel is also pretty average. The college has a library with a good selection of books, and the department is stocked with study materials and books. The hostel is located near the college campus, and the rooms are decent. The food quality is also good.
Faculty: The teachers at this college are very good and helpful. They are well qualified and certified and have a high level of knowledge. The semester exams are conducted at a decent level of difficulty, and the teachers are always willing to help students prepare for them.

Overall, the college is good or average.
Placements: Almost 50 students in our class are placed. The highest package might be 9 lakh, and the lowest package might be 4 or 5 lakh. Companies like Amul, Britannia, and many more come for the recruitment. Almost everyone gets recruited by the companies. Almost 80% get internships from our college. Roles like professor are offered.
Infrastructure: The faculty members are good, helpful, caring, and kind. They are really knowledgeable, and their teaching is also good except for some faculty. The infrastructure of the college is on the verge of getting better slowly. The girls hostel is clean; the bathrooms and washrooms are almost good except for some. The food provided in the mess is eatable, but they don't provide varieties, but they almost follow hygiene; still, kids like eating outside. The sports facility is not very available; the sports club needs development, and more games should be arranged.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified, helpful, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is almost good. Yes, the food engineering technology course is relevant as it provides placement. It does make them ready through the internship given to them for the industry. The questions in the exam are given from the syllabus and what is taught in the class itself. The passing percentage of the students might be 80%.
Other: I choose this course for its placement. It provides information and knowledge regarding the food in various aspects. The things I would like to say for the improvement are doing more practical things for better understanding and providing us with videos for better understanding. The scholarship is given timely.

Review of B.Tech at Assam University, Silchar.
Placements: Placement opportunities are very poor at Assam University, Silchar. The T&P is also not very active. Companies rarely visit our campus for recruitment purposes. Most students get placed off campus. The same condition is with the internship also; however, CSE and AE provide internships.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good. The classrooms are spacious and can accommodate a total of 50–60 students. The labs are not so well equipped with the latest equipment. Sometimes basic equipment is also not working. Hostels are good but the food quality is very poor.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified with Ph.D. degrees. But the teaching quality is average and they are also not very helpful. The course curriculum is as per AICTE norms but in the case of elective subjects, only one subject has to be chosen by all due to a shortage of faculty members.
Other: The authority is very much lazy and every task gets delayed here. The campus life is also average, with very few fests happening on campus.
