How is B.Voc in BHU a complete guide?
Placements: We are the second batch for this course, and our seniors, when they passed out, there was no placement; only one senior got placement, and that was also off campus. And the package he got was 3.5 LPA. There is no such top recruiting company. I have no idea what role he got. Because I am not in touch with him.
Infrastructure: BHU has a great infrastructure, like a very beautiful environment. And the biggest campus I have ever seen. But when it comes to our course, there is a class provided, and we have a central library, but that library does not have books related to our course, and those which are there are old editions. The hostel is given to 6 boys and one girl from our class, regardless of others coming from very distant places with great marks; it's just that they don't have seats. Our classes run in different departments. There is no canteen as such. The food offered, as I have heard, is good; it's edible. Students have a health centre where the health facilities are free, including OPDs, tests, and medicine— that's a great point. There are multiple sports grounds for each institute.
Faculty: Teachers are not that sincere. They hardly take classes because they are busy in meetings mostly. But some teachers who attend classes are not given any training on how they should teach. The situation is pathetic regarding our course. The curriculum is very fast; we give our end exams every three months. And they don't give enough time to the subject that can help us to gain enough knowledge. The semester exams a re tough; you would require to study hard because the checking is also hard.
Other: You would have to build a network, and if you are an extrovert, you are going to enjoy it.

    Review of Banaras Hindu University.
Placements: Almost 55% of students got placed in this course. The highest salary package offered was 11 LPA. Top recruiting companies are IBM, etc. Around 60% of students got internships in this course.
Infrastructure: Our campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Every 10 meters a Wi-Fi extender is available in this college. There is a huge laboratory. Around 40-50 computers are available in the laboratory. Canteen is available in every hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is excellent. They even utilize every single minute of their time that has been provided to students. They teach everything according to the syllabus. The course curriculum is relevant to make students ready for the industry.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest to become a game developer.

The reality of BVoc at BHU.
Placements: We are not provided with any placements facility and there is no placements cell in the college. While taking the admission, we were told that we will get a placements cell and our teachers will be field experts, but we are not given any such an opportunity yet. The coordinators give us internship applications through internshala which are not even relatable to our course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the university as a whole is great. But speaking for my course, we don't even have a good classroom or clean washrooms. They do not focus on hygiene, especially in the faculty of arts . Rest of the departments’ facilities have a clean environment but not ours. There is no hostel facility for girls in our course, there is only one seat allotted to our class. The boys are given around 8 to 12 seats in the hostel. They get funding for building the hostel and the classrooms yet they do not put any efforts to work on the same. We have a lab assigned which does not have proper working systems but there are some computers which work in the labs. There is no AC which makes it very annoying in the summer season. We get free medical facility and medicines by the University. There is no canteen in the campus, there is only one food shop and a tea corner. We do have a UG library and a central library which can be accessed by the students of the campus. They organise inter-departmental sports competitions and the team winning these competitions gets recommendation by the University.
Faculty: The curriculum made for our course is great but the only flaw here is that they do not teach according to the curriculum assigned. They will teach using PDFs and would not put any efforts to give any practical examples. Even the teachers are not aware of the current technologies present in the market. The exams pattern is very similar to any other University, we have to give mid sem and then a final exam. As per my college, we have to give mcent at the beginning of semester. At the Banaras Hindu University, I am currently giving my semester 5th’s midsem examination.

    Our college is very good.
Placements: Our college provides internships. Our course is new, so there are no placements in our college.
Infrastructure: Our college provides a hostel for students. Around 6 students from our batch got the hostel. It is good. You will get vegetarian and non-vegetarian food items. The mess and canteen prices are based on every food item. Cleanliness is acceptable. Around 2 students can stay in each room. Our college provides good sports facilities. It has a health center. It is dedicated to students. A hospital is inside the campus for emergencies. Classrooms are average. There is a projector in every classroom to run it. Students have to use their laptops. We have a language lab, but it has fewer computers. It is not spacious. For study purposes, students can use a cyber library. It is not always possible to get a system in the cyber library as it is generally full at day time. The language lab is for all courses. We don't have any dedicated lab.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful. If you complain about teachers, then they stop coming for teaching, and your syllabus will be incomplete. You have to attend exams on your own. You have to study all subjects on your own. Some teachers solve our doubts. They are pursuing Ph.D. in their respective domains. We have some assistant professors. They teach us R programming. The teaching quality of scholars and assistant professors is good. The syllabus of our course is much better than BCA. Through this course, we can study R programming, Python, HTML, CSS, Java, etc. The syllabus is the best to make you industry-ready. 1st semester is not much difficult. You can pass without studying some subjects like communication and management but don't expect a good percentage if you are an average student. The difficulty level rises from the 2nd semester. The passing marks are 40 out of 100 marks.
Other: Our college is ranked 6th among other colleges. It has a ragging-free environment. Pursuing B.Voc in computer application is better than pursuing BCA from a private college without placements or fewer placements. If you select B.Sc. hons in computer science or math in our college, then go for it as you can change your hons in the final year. Pursuing B.Sc. CS from DU is even better than B.Tech from other private colleges. I would not recommend pursuing B.Voc in CA.

It has a good campus life.
Placements: Students of our course didn't complete the graduation, so there is no proper information regarding placements.
Infrastructure: The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Libraries are very good. There are particular labs and classrooms. Classes are conducted on time. Mess available in the hostel is good.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are helpful during registration and verification of documents. Exams are conducted in a good manner and are scheduled well.
