Yes, Calcutta University conducts its in-house entrance exam, I. e. , Calcutta University Entrance Exam once a year for various UG and PG courses. For Law courses, such as B.A. LL.B. And LL. M. the entrance is conducted in an offline mode. It is crucial for candidates seeking admission in these courses to take the entrance test. Calcutta University (CU) offers UG, PG and doctoral-level programmes in the fields of Humanities, Arts, Science, Commerce, Management, Technology, Engineering, etc.

In order to get admission to Calcutta University, candidates need to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria as per the course requirements. Admission to UG courses is mainly merit-based while for some other courses, the University accepts state-level entrance exams such as WBJEE or national-level exams such as JEE Main and CAT. Further, the university also conducts its in-house entrance exam, i.e., Calcutta University Entrance Exam. The University has not released the Calcutta University CSE average package or branch-wise placement statistics 2023 for BTech. The median package offered to BTech students was INR 10 LPA. Earlier, 305 BTech students were placed in 2022 and the median package stood at INR 9.20 LPA.
