Calcutta University is my second home.
Placements: 100% placement ratio is in the JFT branch. 10 LPA is the average package here. Mostly mass-recruiting companies like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Cognizant are visiting. But some top-notch MNCs like Oracle, Amazon, and Microsoft also come here. Many students got internships in our batch in textile companies like Raymond, Arvind Textile, etc.
Infrastructure: They give us meals two times a day in our hostel. We have a long process of hostel registration application, which we first fill up in the secretary office in the technology campus, then in the Raja Bazar campus, then in the College Street campus. The main criteria to get a hostel is that you must decide within the limit radius from your location to the campus, like in our case. It is 60 km from the college campus to your home location. If you don't get a college hostel by any chance for just because of the reason of location distance, you must contact nearby just outside our college campus in Salt Lake; a big PG is there.
Faculty: Mostly teachers are from either IIT graduates or foreign institutes. They teach us programming with cutting-edge technologies in the computer lab that makes us industry-ready mostly. Semester exam questions mostly come from previous year questions and college lectures. So, questions are mostly common, but professors give us marks very strictly. So, getting marks is the tough task here.
Other: I chose this course as it is a professional course and opens up doors about cutting-edge technologies and great packages in MNCs. Sadly, no other extracurricular activities are there on our campus; we are more focused on placement & higher research studies.

Good college good campus.
Placements: Good placement, there almost 60% of students successfully get the jobs. The highest package is almost 12 LPA. Students should know the basics of the course. To the best one of the essential for the students. Students know clear knowledge of fabric-making, and designing fabric.
Infrastructure: Nice facilities. Wi-Fi is available, purifying water. There is a hostel always playing games. Like cricket, football, volley, badminton, carrom, and table tennis. Good light, fans, and a clean hostel allow the students for playing the sports the as they like to Play.
Faculty: The teachers are good and helpful to all the students. Knowledge of the teachers is good, college placements are very good. You need To get a clear knowledge about the course for clearing the semester otherwise it will be very difficult to clear the semester.
Other: Low cost semester fees, good placement.

I recommend you to join Calcutta University. It is one of the finest colleges of India.
Placements: About 90% of the students got placed from our course, including me. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 1 LPA. It all depends on your talent. Raymond, Vardhman and Ganga Acrowools recruited students from our university. But a very small number of students get noticed by these world-famous reputed companies. Some of our classmates are working as research heads and textile engineers now.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is very good here, and the library is also very good. Classrooms are very clean, and our university provides the best hostel. The food served is fine. There are two buildings on the campus, i.e., an old building and a new building. There is an elevator which is air-conditioned, just like in the malls.
Faculty: Faculty members of Calcutta University never compromise even a little bit in studies. It has been one of the best colleges in India for many years. Teachers are very helpful and student-friendly. Most of the professors are PhD holders and are generally passed out from this university only. The communication between teachers and students is also good enough. If you study hard for only two weeks before the semester exams, you can score marks more than expected as their teaching style is unique, which you will surely remember.
Other: I opted for this course because it is one of the best courses in India as it is an agro-based country. The college conducts many events, workshops, fest and also freshers party, but everything is very classy and disciplined. Students will surely enjoy their four years.

I would recommend joining this college to gain good knowledge.
Placements: Placements in our college are excellent. Most of us got placed from college. Even faculty members are very supportive through the process. Faculty members support internships, but I would recommend searching on your own to get through good places.
Infrastructure: Our college provides the best hostel. The food served fine as the mess foods are. The library is good, and the classrooms are also very good with proper facilities.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very supportive and quite qualified in their respective fields. They are very helpful whenever approached with problems in the subject and the general career questions. The course is also very good course.
Other: I opted for this course because it is one of the best course in India as it is an agro-based country.

It is one of the best colleges in Kolkata.
Placements: There are almost 90-100% campus placements, and 30-40% of students are selected through campus while the rest are placed through off-campus. On average, the salary depends on companies that visit for placements, but it generally ranges from Rs. 15,000-30,000 per month.
Infrastructure: There are two buildings on the campus, an old building and a new one. Classrooms are not very good, but the new building classrooms are very clean, and the infrastructure is quite good enough. Labs are also very good. There is an elevator which is air-conditioned, just like in the malls. Canteen is not available in this building. You have to go to the science building, which is on the top floor, and it is awesome. Hostels are quite away from the campus. It is one of the best building of the university of Calcutta.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and student-friendly. Most of the professors are PhD holders, generally from this home university. The teaching quality is also very good. Communication between teachers and students is also good enough. Marks given by the professors is not bad. If you study hard for only two weeks before the semester, then you can score more than 9 SGPA.
Other: The college conducts many events, workshops, but for fest or freshers party, you have to go to Salt Lake, Technology Campus. Wi-Fi is available, which is named as Wi-Fi Technology Campus. Students will enjoy their four years of B.Tech.
