One of the best colleges I have never seen.
Placements: 96 percent of students were placed in our course and in our college. The highest package is 54 lakhs per annum, the lowest package is 10 to 12 lakhs per annum, and the average package is 24 lakhs per annum. The top recruiting companies, which came for our course, are Flipkart, Infosys, Microsoft, etc. A total of 89 students got internships in Infosys and other companies. The top roles offered in our course are Blood Testing and Analyzing.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good and well-designed, and they provide departments with good facilities. They also provide Wi-Fi facilities and labs for each class. The classrooms are well-cleaned, and the libraries have all types of materials. The facilities of the hostels are better, and the food quality is average, but the mess is hygienic. They also provide medical facilities and conduct some sports or cultural events.
Faculty: The teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable, and they help students in learning. Our courses are curriculum-relevant, which helps us in being industry-ready. The semesters are so difficult, and we cannot pass easily. The passing percentage is 55 percent of marks in our College.

College has a good campus and placements for all the students.
Placements: 66% of students are placed in good companies in the BT course. The highest package is 9 lacs, the lowest one is 4 lacs, and the average package is 6 lacs. Students get internships from the campus and the selection companies are highly recommended, such as Tata Institute and Tata Hospital.
Infrastructure: The facilities are equipped with a projector, TV, Wi-Fi and computer connectivity on campus. Labs and equipment with materials are highly valuable. Library with more books and space. Hostels provide 3 types of menus and have good food quality and management.
Faculty: Teachers are supportive and helpful to the students. Teachers are regulars and work hard for the students. They are highly qualified and most of them have done their Masters. The maximum number of teachers has more than 10 years of experience. Exams are pretty hard but the staff is so helpful.

Ground report of CU biotechnology department.
Placements: University name in big but in reality it failed to deliver good placement. In reality, we did not get enough opportunities for getting a job. In the final semester, we got only 4 opportunities, 1-2 students were hired by each company, and the total intake of our class is 32 students. Just let jobs aside, we did not even get good internships from the college. Five companies offered internships, mostly underpaid or unpaid. I think the placement cell needs to stop playing with students' futures. If you have enough opportunities, then and only then take this many admissions. I am personally so disappointed with the placement.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is top-class architecture, and campus facilities feel like a movie college. But we have a common thought in college about the library: "Yaha koi kaam ko book nahi milti," and the college proves there are no useful books available in the library. Yes, recently the principal inaugurated Wi-Fi service on campus. As a hosteller at CU, I say there are very few facilities. We have beds but no mattresses. We have AC in rooms, but in winter, the temperature is too low; they should arrange heaters. The hostel fee is 1,20,000; after paying this high fee, we do not get good meals; the food is average.
Faculty: The merit of CU is their faculty; faculty members are always helpful. There are 4-5 professors for each subject, and there are doubt-clearing sessions where they clear our doubts. Teachers mostly focus on weak students, which is good. The course is good; biotechnology has scope in the future. The difficulty of the exam depends on students' knowledge; if they have good knowledge, exams will become easy; otherwise, too hard.
Other: I wish the college would focus on biotechnology department placements.

Absolutely satisfied because there are good placements and excellent facilities in the college.
Placements: 66.4 percent of students were placed in our course, with the highest package being 54 lakh per annum and the lowest package being 8 lakh per annum. The average package stands at 27.5 lakh per annum. The top companies recruiting for our course are Flipkart, Infosys, Amazon, Microsoft, etc. Seventy percent of students got internships from Infosys. The top roles offered in our course are biomagnification and technical roles.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good, providing Wi-Fi facilities, classrooms with smart boards, and a library where we can find books related to subjects. The hostel is decent, providing rooms and serving food in a well-cleaned mess. Sports and games facilities are also provided along with some sports equipment.
Faculty: The faculty members are good, qualified, and helpful in teaching us valuable skills while maintaining good communication with us. Yes, this course is curriculum-relevant, which helps us become industry-ready. The semesters are a little difficult, but we pass if we study before the exams. The passing percentage is 45 percent of marks or 4.5 percent on a scale out of 10.

Good placements and opportunities.
Placements: About 60 percent of students were placed in this course. The highest package is about 12 Lacs per annum, the lowest package is about 2.5 Lacs per annum and the average package is about 5 Lacs per annum. Almost 100 percent of students got an internship in my course.
Infrastructure: Good facilities are provided for the students and the infrastructure is also good. Bio labs are available. Wi-Fi is available for students. The classrooms are very neat and clean. Desks are made of granite in the classrooms. The library is also available for students. Very good quality of food is available in mess.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and knowledgeable and they help their students in difficult topics. Teaching quality is average. It makes students industry ready. Semester exams are not very difficult. I pass with 80 percentage. I stood 3rd in my class.
Other: I chose this course because I want to increase my knowledge.

Q:   What is the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.A. programs at Chandigarh University (CU)?

A:
{Source: B.A. students & alumni}

Here's the effectiveness of the placement cell for B.A. programs at Chandigarh University (CU):

Placement Cell Effectiveness

* According to students and alumni, only "a few" students from their course have been placed by the university's placement cell.
* However, many students from the Computer Science Engineering (CSE) department have been placed with good salary packages.
* While there isn't much information available about the placement cell's performance specifically for B.A. programs, it appears that the cell has had limited success in placing students from these courses.
* Overall, while CU's placement cell seems to have potential, it would benefit from improvement and increased efforts to place students from all disciplines.

Note: Since most of the information provided is anecdotal and doesn't represent a representative sample size, it's difficult to draw definitive conclusions about the effectiveness of the placement cell. Further research or data would be needed to gain a more complete understanding of the situation.
