Review of Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our college is 60 percent; the highest package is 30,00,000, and the lowest package is 5 lacs. The crowd, Avenues, Infosys, Techno Park, etc., are the top recruiters. 50 percent of students get internships. Top roles are software engineering and computer engineering.
Infrastructure: We have a computer programming lab, a mechanical engineering lab, a basic electronics lab, and a basic electrical lab. We have a central university library and a department device library. We have specialties in hostels: we have 16 women hostels and 17 boys hostels.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and very friendly. They are qualified from IAIT. They are fully knowledgeable. We can share everything with them. The teaching quality of them is super. This curriculum is very relevant. The exam is not that much difficult.
Other: Why I chose this course is because I love information technology in a Bachelor of Technology. The best thing about my course is it is very easy to study. It is a very powerful course. There is nothing to improve in my course; it all fits. There are many more events that will take place in my college.

A journey of learning and growth.
Placements: The percentage of students placed varies from 80-95% depending on academic excellence and skills. The highest package offered was 24 LPA, and the lowest was 4 LPA. The recruiting companies include TCS, CISCO, EY, VISTEON. Internship was included inside the syllabus, and all the students were able to get paid internships. Most of the students were able to get internships during their last semester. The top roles include website development, software developer, database administration, UX/UI designer, network engineer, and cybersecurity specialist.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the campus is a pure work of art. The classrooms include smartboards and blackboards. The lab structure includes advanced equipment with air-conditioned classrooms and high-speed Wi-Fi connections. The library is of two types: one is common for university students, and the other is common for engineering students. The library is air-conditioned, equipped with Wi-Fi and e-book facilities. There is a study lounge as well as examination centers.
Faculty: The faculty members at CUSAT are highly qualified, with many professors experienced in both academia and industry. Their teaching methods make the theory very easy, as well as providing hands-on experience, supported by lab sessions, assignments, and real-world projects. The course curriculum is very relevant and useful for getting placements in the IT field. It includes real-world projects and a well-structured syllabus. The semester exams are very difficult compared to other universities. The pass percentage ranges from 88 to 95 in various semesters.
Other: I chose information technology purely based on passion. There are many tech-related festivals as well as many events where students can earn part-time income if they participate consistently.

Placements are average but gives a good return on money invested.
Placements: Almost every student (90%) gets placed about 1 to 2 months prior to their degree completion. The average expected salary ranges from 5.5 to 6 LPAs per annum. The lowest and highest packages received are 3.5 LPA by TCS Ninja and 23 (18 + 5 internship) LPA provided by Cisco. The top recruiters include service-based companies, mostly EY, TCS, and L&T. Some students get placed in startups situated in Kerala itself, which mostly get hired as software developers.
Infrastructure: The college has a well-maintained lab and a university library that contains most of the books required for academics as well as philosophy, astronomy, government preparation, and research. Classrooms are not that well; we have normal classes with smart boards and projectors with benches and desks.
Faculty: Semester exams are very easy to clear. If you want to score an average of 8.5 to 8.8 CGPA, then you can easily score this much just by studying a week before the external; the same goes with the internals also; you just need to start your preparation prior to 3 days before the internals to score a good mark.

Facilities are infrastructure need to been improved.
Placements: Most of the big companies come here for placements. The average package is above 4 lakhs. Most companies that come for placements are average, so packages are also average.
Infrastructure: Most first-year students will not get a hostel because of ragging issues. Since CUSAT has other courses, there are limited hostels. So, students who are coming for engineering will not get a college hostel unless they have reservations.
Faculty: CUSAT is an autonomous college, so answer sheets are checked by our own teachers. Do not mess with teachers. If we act silently in class and obey everything, teachers will give full attendance.
Other: There are different clubs on campus that conduct various events and programs.

Satisfied with the college. Best place to build your network.
Placements: The average package is around 5.88 lakh. Approximately 90% of students got placed in campus placement last year. Others chose higher studies. The college is offering us a lot of internship options. Top companies like IBM, TCL, and so many more are recruiting from here.
Infrastructure: The labs and library are good. There is no Wi-Fi connection in the classroom, but it is in the library. Food is so good. They are serving Kerala-style food mainly; North Indians are also there. Sports and arts are the other attractive things about the college. It's a good college.
Faculty: Academics are tougher than KTU; also, in the case of faculties, most of them are temporary but qualified. The lack of permanent staff is a serious issue. The teachers are so friendly to the students. I am not aware of the pass percentage. I am sorry. But most of the seniors and my batchmates are passed.
Other: Information technology is one of the most demanding courses in the industry. The only negative is that this course is not a core branch in engineering. But it has all of the placement offers as well as the computer science, which is a circuit branch.
