Insights on HBTU B.Tech Food Technology: Course, Campus, and Opportunities.
Placements: The percentage of students placed is 80-85%. The highest package is 19-25 lacs per annum. The lowest package is 3-4 lacs per annum. The average package is 6-7 lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are Nestlé, PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, ITC Foods, Britannia, Amul, Parle, Dabur, Unilever, and Tata Chemical. The percentage of students with internships is 70-80%. Internship companies are Nestlé, PepsiCo, Britannia, ITC Foods, Parle, Amul, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), etc.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities for B.Tech Food Technology: The infrastructure is good, with separate labs for different code and departments. Each department has its own specialized labs to facilitate practical learning. The campus provides Wi-Fi, but there is a data limit of 3-4 GB. After reaching the limit, further usage is restricted. The Wi-Fi is also monitored for websites visited at times. Hostel and Campus Facilities: Hostel Quality: The hostel quality is good, providing clean rooms and necessary amenities. Food Quality: The food in the hostel is considered good and meets the basic nutritional needs; also, there are a lot of different items on the menu. Medical Facilities: The campus has medical facilities available to handle minor health issues. Sports and Games: A variety of general sports, like football and cricket games, are available for students on campus.
Faculty: Teachers' Helpfulness, Qualifications, and Knowledge: The teachers in the B.Teach Food Technology department are helpful and qualified. Most of them hold a Ph.D. or are in the process of completing one. They are knowledgeable and provide valuable insights during lectures. Teaching Quality: The teaching quality is good, with a balanced approach of theoretical and practical knowledge to help students grasp the concepts effectively. Course Curriculum: The course curriculum is a bit backdated, around 3-4 years old, but still relevant. It does prepare students for the industry to some extent, although some updates could make it more current with recent trends. Semester Exam Difficulty and Pass Percentage: The semester exams are moderately difficult, and students need to have a solid understanding of the concepts. The pass percentage is around 80%.
Other: I chose this course because, based on my rank, it was the only option available to me. However, I would recommend aiming for better branches if you can, as they tend to have improved placement opportunities. I do wish the events and fests could improve to provide more exposure and opportunities for students to engage. On the positive side, the campus surroundings are great, providing a peaceful and conducive environment for studying. There are also scholarships available, like the UP Scholarship worth 60,000, which can be accessed if you qualify. Extracurricular activities are abundant, with many seniors actively involved, offering a chance to grow outside of academics as well.

I think this college is good for pursuing B.Tech because of faculty, placements, and facilities.
Placements: Max students are placed from my course this year. In my course, the highest package offered in 2022-2023 was thirty-six lakhs per annum, the average package is nine lakhs per annum, and the lowest package is six lakhs per annum. Many companies visited my course, including Adani Wilmar, Nestlé, and Dabur. Most of the students get internships from my course in reputed companies like Nestlé, Parle, and Britannia.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is very good. Wi-Fi is available at all times. There are many labs and classrooms. The library, known as Tagore Central Library, is also present. The hostels are very good, the mess food is also good, and there are five canteens available. Medical facilities are excellent, with a sick room present in every hostel. Many games can be played, such as cricket, badminton, chess, volleyball, and basketball. A fest is also conducted in college, named Aagaz.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful; they listen to students' doubts and clear them. The teachers are Ph.D. holders and very knowledgeable. Their teaching quality is amazing. The course curriculum is relevant and prepares students for the industry. I think semester exams are not difficult when students prepare for them as the way teachers say. The pass percentage is forty percent.
Other: I decided to take this course because I am interested in it. I want to know about food in detail. There are many events that occur. On October 16, we celebrated World Food Day in our college auditorium.

Overall, it's a good college, but it may not be the best for those pursuing technology branches.
Placements: Placements are better in engineering branches like chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, then CS, IT, etc. And in technology branch, paint is one of the best branch for 100 percent placement and other technology branch are quite better. And at now the placement rate is 74 percent overall
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite better, not so good. Yes, all branches have different departments. Facilities of hostel are not so good and yes, it has mess and sports facilities available. And also, wifi is available, but not at a good speed or quality. Classes are average.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are good. Some teachers are very rude and some are so good. The semester exam is quite difficult but not so difficult if you are doing it on a daily basis. Then you can score good marks in the exam. There are six exams each year: four midterms and two endterms.
Other: There are so many clubs in college.

Harcourt Butler Technical University is damn good, overall.
Placements: The highest package was 44.5 LPA and the most established companies are here, like Valency International, Preeti, Amul, Britannia, and Parag, and marketing and sales companies are offering here for the prestigious excellence of students to get to explore all over the world.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is awesome and provides the best environment of study Wi-Fi campus and AC classrooms are second; the largest and biggest library in Kanpur is well all around; superb college but one thing is cheap for four exams held in two months, such as mid-semester and end-semester.
Faculty: All teachers are best in their own field; they have high education and lakh sir is a very decent teacher in our department and all teachers like Anit sir and Anurag sir are damn good international educators in our college who've maintained the opportunity world-wide.
Other: My batch 2026 is awesome—seriously, the annual fest Adhyaay and Technik and a better scholarship of around 67k per annum are offered.
