Admission to the BTech programme is done basis JEE Main score followed by JAC Delhi Counselling. For Delhi-based students, admission to BTech CSD and CSSS programmes is done basis of UCEED rank and Class 12 marks, respectively. Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, opening rank was 4554 and closing rank was 4659 in 2023. The cutoff in 2024 for the all-India quota ranged from 6695 to 9975. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. Admission to BTech in Computer Science and Biosciences in IIIT Delhi is based on the scores obtained in the entrance exam JEE. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

Last year, the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science and Design was 981, which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since the cutoffs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to IIIT Delhi.

IIIT Delhi admit candidates to a few courses without any entrance examination. For example, the institute admits candidates to the BTech CSSS programme based on their performance in Class 12 or an equivalent examination. Moreover, for PG Diploma in Data Science & Artificial Intelligence, aspirants who meet the eligibility criteria are only required to take part in an interview round. It is mandatory for students to have a valid JEE Main score for admission to the BTech programme. However, for Delhi-based students, admission to IIIT Delhi BTech CSD and CSSS programmes is done basis of UCEED rank and Class 12 marks, respectively. However, it is still mandatory that the students fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria. Hence, candidates without a valid JEE score can also take admission to IIIT Delhi BTech CSD and CSSS courses.
