IIT Delhi MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2025

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi offer a two-year MTech programme, which is spread across four semesters. BTech graduates, fulfilling the eligibility criteria can apply for any of the 43 MTech specialisations. IIT Delhi MTech admission is through the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). Candidates shortlisted based on exam scores have to further go through COAP counselling for final seat allotment.

MTech course admission starts at IITs with the GATE registration process. The application form is generally out in the month of August, as per the past years' trend. IIT Delhi admission to the MTech programme is based on GATE scores. However, BTech graduates from IITs with an overall CGPA of 8.00 out of 10 are exempted from GATE and are eligible for direct admissions. All the shortlisted candidates undergo COAP Counselling based on which seats are offered as per seat availability.
