    Q:   Is M.Tech costly at IIT Delhi?

    A: 

    The total IIT Delhi MTech fee for students belonging to the General category ranges between INR 3 lakh and INR 10 lakh. It may be slightly costlier than other government colleges. However, IIT Delhi is one of the most prestigious institutes offering an MTech in India. It is well-known for the value of money and return of investment that it provides.

    The institute also offers fee waivers based on category and income slab. Additionally, IIT Delhi offers several scholarships and fee concessions based on merit and financial need of the students.

    A: 

    For admission to an MTech course at IIT Delhi, candidates must have a GATE score greater than or equal to the cut-off marks. The cut-off varies across the MTech specialisations and reservation categories of the candidates.

    In addition, the cutoff list mentions the minimum marks and ranks that the aspirants should have secured for selection. The overall cutoff for GATE may lie between 350 and 800 marks. This cutoff range is as per an unofficial source and hence, is indicative.

    A: 

    IIT Delhi MTech admission is completely entrance-based. Candidates seeking admission to the IIT Delhi MTech course must appear for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE). However, BTech graduates from IITs with an overall CGPA of 8.00 out of 10 are exempted from GATE and are eligible for direct admissions. Apart from this, candidates are also requested to fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria to be eligible for IIT Delhi MTech admission.

    Q:   How can I get into M.Tech at IIT Delhi?

    A: 

    For IIT Delhi M.Tech admission, candidates must have a valid GATE score. Aspirants are also supposed to meet the minimum eligibility criteria set by the institute. Candidates seeking admission to IIT Delhi M.Tech course must visit the official website of GATE to apply online. Registered candidates are then required to appear for the GATE entrance exam.     Candidates seeking admission to an M.Tech programme at IIT Delhi must fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements. The table given below mentioned eligibility criteria for M.Tech courses offered in different modes:

    BE/BTech/MSc or equivalent in relevant field with (a) CGPA 6.00 on a 10 point scale or 60% marks in aggregate for General/OBC (Non Creamy Layer)/EWS Category and minimum experience. Must submit No Objection Certificate from employer Organisation should be located within 50 km of IIT Delhi.
