I am dissatisfied because of our faculty members, as they are very much partial and judgmental.
Placements: There are no placements or campusing system. No companies come to offer jobs. None of the students got internships. In our batch, only 25 Students have enrolled, from which 3-4 students are drop-outs. A few students are opting for further studies and need to be qualified net/set or preparing for competitive exams on their own.
Infrastructure: We don't have any Wi-Fi connection, and hostel facilities are poor. The food served is not hygienic, and they serve meals 2 times a day, and there is a lack of proper maintenance. There are safety issues on campus. No sports or medical facilities are available in the hostel premises. Classrooms are normal, and they have only one smart classroom.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are qualified, but they are not co-operative. They are very partial and discouraging by nature. They put less efforts, and many teachers don't take classes properly. But not all the teachers are the same. Some are very co-operative and student-friendly too.
Other: I opted for this course only to get a high degree and nothing else. Scholarships are available for few students and events, and fests are held rarely.

The college has good infrastructure and facilities, but we need better job opportunities.
Placements: The placement cell here is dependent on the respective department and students. For our course, they provide training programmes and internship opportunities. In other departments like in statistics and the MBA department, the recruitment percentage is pretty satisfactory, and the average salary package offered is around 4.5-6 LPA.
Infrastructure: Students are quite happy with sufficient lab equipment and Wi-Fi connection. The availability of books for respective subjects is pretty satisfactory. Classrooms are big and clean enough. Students comfort have always been taken under consideration in terms of classroom seating.
Faculty: Professors are very helpful, generous and have a well-balanced student-friendly approach. The course structure gets more interesting because of our professors. It helps us to go further way in academics, and also the encouragement and guidance we get here regarding the work field are very much needed.
Other: I have chosen this course because I always wanted to opt for this course not because of anything but to learn more about the chosen subject from a reliable place. Our university campus becomes more interesting and fun to be around during our spring fest, department reunions and on special events like Holi and Rabindra Jayanti.

The college is very good.
Placements: The placements are very good with percentage being 80%. The students also got internships in companies like Wipro, TCS, Reliance etc. The highest package offered in the course is 10 LPA, the average package is 7 LPA and the lowest is 3 LPA. There is a dedicated placements cell available.
Infrastructure: In this college, the infrastructure is good having common things like AC and Wi-Fi available. There are well-equipped labs and library available. There are hostel facilities for boys and girls and the quality food in the canteen is decent. There are many sports available.
Faculty: In this college, the teachers are good, well knowledgeable, qualified and helpful. The course curriculum is well organized and it makes the students future ready. The semester exams are not so hard but cheating is not allowed. The passing percentage is 80%.

Q:   Is it worth pursuing B.E. / B.Tech at Kalyani University?

A:
{Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Worth Pursuing BE/BTech at Kalyani University?

After analyzing the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the pros and cons:

Pros:
* Good infrastructure and facilities, including Wi-Fi-enabled campus and well-stocked libraries
* Friendly and supportive faculty members, willing to help students
* Opportunities for research and higher studies
* Decent placement record, with some students securing internships and jobs in reputed companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Tata
* Affordable living options near the campus, including PG accommodations

Cons:
* Limited availability of resources, particularly in some departments
* Outdated curriculum, which might impact employability
* Lack of emphasis on coding and job-specific skills
* High competition for limited seats in popular courses
* Limited participation in campus placements due to few companies visiting the campus
* Average salary package, ranging from INR2-INR4 Lacs per annum

Overall Assessment: Pursuing BE/BTech at Kalyani University might be worthwhile for those interested in research, higher studies, or looking for a more affordable option. While the university offers decent infrastructure and faculty support, the outdated curriculum and limited job prospects might affect the employment potential of graduates. Students seeking specialisation in areas like IT, electronics, and instrumentation might find the course suitable, while others might need to look elsewhere for better job opportunities.

Remember that individual experiences may vary depending on the department, course, and personal preferences. It's essential to weigh the pros and cons carefully before making an informed decision.
