The university conducts its own entrance exams like UPESMET, UPESMET UG, UPESPAT, etc. for providing admission to specific courses.  The total tuition fee for the BTech programme at UPES ranges between INR 9.5 lakh - INR 18.3 lakh. This fee range does not include the hostel fee or the mess fee and only includes the cost of tuition for the four year BTech programme. The fee mentioned here is taken from unofficial sources and hence, is indicative. Before taking admission to the BTech programme the aspiring candidates need to pay the application fee and the fee for for application is INR 1350.

UPES MBA fee ranges between INR 1.5 lakh - INR 15.7 lakh as per an unofficial source. The fee is calculated based on tuition fee and does not includes other fee components. Aspirants are required to pay the course fee after completion of all the selection rounds to confirm their seats. The selection to MBA course will be based on national and university-level entrance exams like CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, UPESMET, etc., followed by group discussion and personal interview round. In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled. Aspirants will also need to pay a registration fee to apply for admission. The application fee for MBA course is INR 1,350. Candidates can pay the registration fee via any of the online payment mode. 

 UPES Dehradun admission to MBA course is based on national or university-evel entrance exams. The university accepts GATE/ CAT/ CUET PG + PI scores for providing admission. In case, an aspirant fails to secure the minimum marks* specified by the university, he or she will need to appear for UPESMET. It is an online entrance exam conducted for a duration of 2.5 hours. UPESMET sections include English, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and Analytical Reasoning. For admission to Global MBA, aspirants only need to come for the PI round. The shortlisted candidates will be called for group discussion and personal interview round for further selection. After completion of the selection rounds, candidates are called for document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

UPES Dehradun cutoff for the MBA course is based on NMAT scores. As per the last NMAT 2023 scores for admission to UPES , the minimum NMAT cutoff was 140 for the General All India Quota. Also, in 2022, the NMAT score for university was the same at 140, hence it can be concluded that there has been no change in NMAT cutoffs in last two years.
