NIT Nagaland can be considered as one of the top tier institutes offering specialisation in Engineering. It holds the prestige of National Institute of Technology and approval among 10 newly launched NITs. The Institute is approved by AICTE and is ranked within the rank-band of 150-200 in the Engineering category. However, The last date to fill the application form was extended with late fees till October 11, 2024. The JoSAA 2024 registration process started on June 10, 2024. There will be five rounds of JoSAA counselling. JoSAA released Rounds 1 and 2 seat allocation results and cutoffs. Knowledge of JoSAA dates 2024 helps candidates keep a check on the major deadlines, like the last date of registration. It is best to regularly check the official JoSAA website for the latest updates and announcements regarding the 2024 counselling schedule. Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For JEE Main Round 6 cutoff 2023, the opening rank was 46135 and closing rank was 57852 for the general category candidates under All India quota. Cut off are different when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state. In All India, opening and closing rank for female candidates was 54592 and 65818. Admission to Civil Engineering in NIT Nagaland is based on the scores obtained in the JEE Main entrance exam. Applicants are advised to confirm what category are they applying while checking for cut offs.

The JoSAA 2024 registration process started on June 10, 2024. The last date to register for JoSAA 2024 was June 18, 2024. The entire schedule of JoSAA counselling for engineering admissions was released on the official website of JoSAA. There will be five rounds of counselling. NIT Nagaland offers BTech, M.Tech MSc and PhD programme. Candidates who have twelve years of school education with 75% aggregate and a valid JEE Main scores are eligible for the BTech course. For the MTech, candidates who have a Bachelor's Degree in any stream and a valid scorein the GATE score. Also candidates with a bachelor's degree in Science and IIT Jam score are eligible for the MSc programe. And finally for the PhD candidates must have master's degree  in Engineering or Technology, a valid GATE/JRF/ UGC NET/ CSIR NET score.

The eligibility criteria for NIT Nagaland is getting atleast 75% in class 12 ( 65% for SC/ST/PwD) and cracking JEE mains. For scoring a good rank in JEE Main a candidate must:

National Institute of Technology Nagaland (also known as NIT Nagaland or NIT Dimapur) is one of the thirty-one NIT Colleges in India. It is among the top institute in North-East to have offered engineering degree. NIT Dimapur has been ranked 151-200 by NIRF 2024 under the 'Engineering' category. The selection procedure for BTech at NIT Nagaland revolves around the entrance exam and counselling process. Candidates who have twelve years of school education with 75% aggregate. Additionally, candidates must have valid JEE Main scores for admission. Therfore thy must apply for JEE Main exam and stay updated related to the exam for admission. Candidates must have a good JEE Main score i.e. 250 or above. For NITs and IITs a in the 85th to 95th percentile is ideal for admission . Applicants must also rank among the top 15,000 to 20,000 students in the country to get admission to the premier NITs and IITs.

NIT Manipur JEE Main cutoff 2024 has been released for admission to the BTech courses. During the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank for CSE was 25886 for the General category students under the AII India Quota. Among OBC candidates, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering stood at 8750.
