Amazing crowd, a lot to learn, you will have the best memories of your life.
Placements: There are 100% placements provided. The average package was 12 LPA, the highest was 54 LPA. Amazing placements and internship opportunities you will get along with participation in many clubs. Best placements in Maharashtra after IIT Bombay. It's a total value for money. 4 Lakhs would be enough for your B.Tech degree.
Infrastructure: Mess is really good, we also have chinese, pav bhaji, chole bhature in menu too. A block rooms are just okay, they are the old ones, but they have been renovated. E block is really good. Boys hostel is also good. The fees is very low compared to other colleges.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified but in college you have to study on your own. As it's a deemed University, portion is completed properly, and papers are showed before displaying results. They are very friendly. Attendance criteria is fine, you can skip lectures once in a while.

Review of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute - VJTI Mumbai.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 44 LPA by Microsoft. Placements companies are Microsoft, Uddan Ltd, and Morgan Stanley. TPO is good and handles all the situations correctly with guidance to students for embarking on their career with great experience and knowledge.
Infrastructure: The college premises is huge and well architectures. The system is also good, and the hostel is well arranged and distanced from the college. Hostel mess is allocated in hostel premises, and ready to serve with a healthy meal three times a day with high protein and all nutritions.
Faculty: Faculty members are skillful and experienced. The curriculum for CSE is vast and explained well. Exams are conducted healthier and managed wisely by faculty members. For a four-year course, there is a total of eight-semester conducted twice a year from September to December.
Other: It is a great college to start with an engineering career.

VJTI- the next IIT Bombay of India.
Placements: In my stream of Computer Engineering branch in VJTI, the placement percentage is about 99 percent. So it is very nearly comparable to that of some NITs and IITs. The highest package offered last year for our branch was 38 LPA. Moreover, the average package is about 12.75 LPA. Thus is a highly paid course of engineering from our college.
Infrastructure: Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute, being a government autonomous Institute is about average to good in case of the infrastructure. However, it has all the facilities like Free Wi-Fi, spacious labs and classrooms for each department and has a huge library with about 20000 books and also a facility of e-library. The hostel facilities are very much affordable to one's pocket and the food is awesome at reasonable prices.
Faculty: All the teachers at my institute are highly qualified and well experienced, having the highest level of knowledge in their respective subjects. Most of them are Ph.D. from top IITs and some senior professors are M.Tech qualified. The curriculum of the institute is way better than that of Mumbai University as my our institute is an autonomous institute.
Other: I chose Computer Engineering as my course of studies as it is the most demanding as well as paying course in this 21st century of technology. The events and fests make learning even more interesting. Many events like Technovanza, Society of Robotics and Automation, Toastmasters club and many more help in all round development.

The campus life of CSE and IT students is pretty good and probably the same for other departments.
Placements: I would rate the placements 7 out of 10. The placements are very good. The training and placement office is always good. When the placement season starts in August, companies offering very good salary packages keep coming till the end of July. If you are good at what you like and what the companies demand, you can surely get a good job. However, this is valid mostly for IT jobs. Very few core companies visit the campus. The placement officer is much interested in improving the statistics rather than understanding what students are interested in. Most of them end up with an IT job irrespective of their branch.
Infrastructure: I would rate the infrastructure 4 out of 10. It is a government institute, so students can't expect much. Funds are not used where they should be used. Most of the funds are used to pay the salaries of the contractual faculty members. Laboratories are not well-equipped, with a few exceptions. We could easily manipulate readings. The first 15 minutes in the computer lab are wasted in finding which PC is working. In 2018, there is still no Wi-Fi on the campus. There are a few world-class laboratories where quality work is done. Most of these labs are industry-backed and are supported well by the institute. Alumni funds come in huge amounts each year. However, they are not used in the right places. They are mostly used in renovating classrooms and installing air-conditioners, which is unnecessary. Basic infrastructure needs to be taken care of first before these luxuries.
Faculty: I would rate the teaching 3 out of 10. I had high expectations from faculty members when I took admission at VJTI, as it is known as one of the best colleges, at least in Maharashtra. Moreover, after two extremely hard years and a lot of hard work to get admission, I expected this. However, it was a disappointment. Honestly, the first year's faculty members were much better than the subsequent years' faculty members. I am an IT graduate, and I have seen the worst form of teaching in VJTI, which is also the same for computer engineering. I heard from my friends in other departments that they have better faculty members. Computer and IT departments hardly have lectures in the final year. Faculty members are not interested in teaching, and no students are also interested in sitting for the lectures. It is because there is a high proportion of contractual faculty members. There are very few permanent professors in VJTI in almost all departments. Contractual faculty members are generally newly graduated with an experience of 0 to 3 years. They are graduated from tier-3 engineering colleges and end up teaching at VJTI because they could not find good jobs after graduating. The teaching is marks-oriented, so no one wants to learn. Some professors give a question bank and ask questions from it in the exam. Grades that you get do not reflect your knowledge in that subject. You can score well if you have read the topic from which a long theoretical question is asked in the exam. If you skipped that topic, then it would be difficult. However, there are exceptional faculty members as well in all the departments. Some of them are very good and dedicated to their work.
Other: Our college is known as the center of excellence, and a few other research laboratories are also available in VJTI. These facilities have provided students with good exposure to practical solutions with world-class equipment and guidance. However, these facilities are only available to a few departments, and nothing is done in this area. Students who are interested in research are most often disappointed as there is no proper guidance or infrastructure. Research requires huge funding where VJTI lacks. I would rate 6 out of 10 for opportunities provided here. Students get a lot of opportunities in various forms. Exam schedules are scheduled in such a way that students get enough time between semesters to do something extra. Most of the students prefer doing an internship, and a few students get an on-campus internship as well. There is more focus on the independent study as teaching is almost nil here. So students get to learn a lot on their own. Festivals which are conducted here help students to develop their soft skills and give them some managerial skills. These opportunities will have been very useful if they are well-structured. I would rate 8 out of 10 for the crowd, and it is the best part of VJTI. Students are well-determined and hard-working. Seniors are always ready to help. Since there is not much the institute has to offer, students are independent. Everyone is dedicated, and students are responsible for the VJTI performance, and where it is today.

The college campus is less compared to others. The college has a good infrastructure and library.
Placements: Placements are very good for CS and IT. The average salary package offered in our college is about 7 LPA. Other branches are also good like electrical, electronic and EXTC. There is also a special placement cell TPO, which helps to get a good job.
Infrastructure: Hostel rooms are not that good in infrastructure, but hostels and rooms are expensive. The hostel mess is not that bad, and it is difficult to find a mess outside the college. There are 3 hostels each for the first year, second year and for the third and fourth-year students. There are no issues like ragging.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and same as other colleges. Teaching depends on every teacher or on our understanding. They provide you with study materials, and most of the notes are made by teachers. Results of the test come very quickly.
