Kind MC people. Especially the greenhouse opposite the college. Named as Harinchawra Chatrabas.
Placements: Placement is not good enough as compared to other government engineering colleges. A few on-campus placements are here. Companies like L&T, Adani, Wipro, Cognizant, etc. Or you can go for off-campus. That's how you will get better opportunities. Hope this will help.
Infrastructure: The course is good. Teachers are good at teaching. The course has many opportunities in many private companies. Anyone can prepare for government exams or GATE. The hostel is good. Most students prefer the hostel. The hostel facility is good. Food is good. Rooms are big enough to live with 2 students. Chairs and tables are provided by the hostel.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, they are well-qualified for teaching and very knowledgeable. Through labs and classes, students can be industry-ready. As CGEC is under MAKAUT University, the question level is standard and neither too tough nor too easy. Exams are conducted under CCTV surveillance with 2-3 guards.
Other: Building structures are my loving thing. That's why I chose this course. I'd suggest more faculty members for teaching. Events are held 12 months a year. The main college fest is very good, and only college students are allowed on campus during the fest. Security is good.

Newly established Cooch Bear Government Engineering college.
Placements: The placement opportunities in the civil engineering department are not very satisfactory, although renowned companies like L&T and Adani have visited our college and a majority of the students have been successfully placed. Additionally, many of our seniors have cleared exams such as GATE ESE and achieved impressive ranks, including one student who secured a rank under 300 in the GATE exam.
Infrastructure: Our college offers a wide range of facilities. Initially, hostels were exclusively available for fourth-year students, but we are currently constructing three new hostels for first, second, and third-year students. Additionally, our college provides Wi-Fi connections, and our classrooms and library are of excellent quality. The library houses a vast collection of books.
Faculty: The faculty at our college is exceptionally qualified, with a majority of them having completed their M.Tech from renowned institutions like IITs and NITs. If you do not study adequately, the semesters can be challenging. The curriculum is highly relevant, and the teachers are extremely supportive, ensuring that students do not experience excessive stress.
Other: Fest events are so good. The campus is too beautiful. And you enjoy your college life.

The faculty is good and the infrastructure is good.
Placements: Many students are admitted to the civil engineering department. But placements are not good in the civil engineering department. It should be improved. Many students are going for internships. More core jobs should be needed and core companies are needed for the job.
Infrastructure: Hostel fees are less and minimum for all students. Food is good but hostel maintenance is required for all-year students. The classroom is so smart there is projector is fitted in all departments. The classroom for quality studies and well lectures is provided.
Faculty: Professors are all very helpful for study. They are well educated and have more experience. They give lectures very easily and properly take the exam. Semester exam questions are moderate which is good for all students. The passing percentage is 99.99 %.
Other: The fee structure is so less than that of other colleges. CE, EE, and ME department semester fees are Rs:3000 per semester, and ECE departments fees are more than Rs:3000per semester which is the minimum.

I am satisfied with the college.
Placements: About 50% of the students got placed from our course in various IT companies and core companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, and many more. The highest salary package offered here is 5.5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. About 30% of the students got internships in companies like BSNL, Doordarshan, and many more. Top roles offered in our course are system engineer, program analyst, etc.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are quite huge and airy here. The infrastructure of our college is good, and it's improving day by day. In the next few years, we will see a well-furnished gym, common room, and auditorium. The girls' hostel has a great infrastructure and a trustworthy food facility. Our college has its own playground and cricket and a football team. A number of sports are being organised.
Faculty: Teachers here are highly qualified, and many of them have doctorate degrees. They are knowledgeable and helpful. Their teaching quality is good and informative for the future. The course curriculum is relevant enough for the upcoming future. The subjects included in the course curriculum are related to our changing world.
Other: I chose this course because it is an edge to both computer science and electrical engineering. This is indeed the best part, and this course is better. Scholarship facilities are provided here. The fest is organised once a year, and the campus is beautifully surrounded by the banks of the Torsa River.

It is a good college with good teachers.
Placements: Coochbehar Government Engineering College is too good. Around 57% of the students were placed in the previous year. The highest salary package offered in the previous year was 6 LPA and the average salary package offered was 4 LPA. TCS, IBM, Wipro, and Adobe recruit students. Around 20% of the students got placed in TCS and 40% of the students got placed in other companies.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities and infrastructure. There are around 200 classrooms and 10 labs and 2 big libraries. The entire campus and hostels are Wi-Fi enabled. The food quality is good, and we also have a medical facility and a huge ground.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful. Most of the teachers have very incredible knowledge. The teaching quality is also good. The semester exams in our college are medium. The pass percentage is around 60%.
Other: I opted for this course because I want to do a higher study in remote sensing engineering. In our college, many events and fests are held. The connectivity is good, and the campus crowd is also good. SVMCM and NSP scholarships are provided.
