I am satisfied with faculty members, infrastructure and good placements every year.

Placements: The geophysics course has a large scope of research, so many students opt for it. This year, two students got university calls for the research, in which one is from Stanford University, and the other is from the University of California San Diego and San Diego State. Other students opt for placements. Each year students get placements in core companies like ONGC, Oil India, Cairn India, etc. Non-core companies that visit here are Axtiria, Continual Engine and Futures First, in which anyone can get placed. The number of openings in all companies varies every year.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIT Dhanbad is one of the most attractive parts. High-speed internet is accessible from each room of the hostel. Besides this, each room also has a high-speed LAN connection and Wi-Fi networks. The library has fast internet connectivity, which enables students to do their respective works and studies. The 7-floor library of IIT Dhanbad is the largest technical library in Asia, and there is a garden in the front and a canteen in the basement. Labs are fabulous and equipped with advanced technical apparatus. Mess food is not up to the mark, especially in the first year, but the mess organises special dinner separately for vegetarian and non-vegetarian once every 3 weeks. The food quality enhances every year as you opt for more advanced hostels. Classrooms are well-equipped with projectors and other informative things, and they offer a clear board view to each student. There is a club for everything from dance, music, robotics to astronomy and literary clubs. We have facilities for every sport and game too.

Faculty: All the faculty members are PhD qualified and have deep knowledge of their fields. They always help and clear our doubts. Along with great knowledge, many of them have decent industrial experience, which helps students to prepare accordingly. Their teaching methodology is also excellent as they are very practical. The course curriculum makes students industry-ready.

Strong Academics, Excellent Placements, and Vibrant Campus Life at IIT ISM Dhanbad.

Placements: 88 percent of students were placed in your course, and the top role offered in my course is 1 crore. Approximately 40 percent of students got internships from your course and many other companies. Top recruiting companies are Google and software companies. The average CTC offered during placements typically ranges from 10-20 LPA.

Infrastructure: Classrooms are spacious, well-equipped with projectors, smart boards, and fans, but not air conditioning. Labs are modern with necessary equipment for various departments, for example, Mining, Computer Science, Electrical, etc. The library is one of the most modern and largest libraries in Asia. Hostel and mess food were, on average, good.

Faculty: The faculty at IIT ISM Dhanbad is composed of experienced professors, many of whom have PhDs from reputed institutions and have experience in both academia and industry. The rigorous curriculum is designed to provide a strong foundation in both theory and practical knowledge.
