At the heart of IIT Guwahati success.
Placements: Placement percentage vary from year to year. Some of the top recruiting companies for various courses are at IIT Guwahati. The roles offered to a student in particular vary based on industry demand and skill set of the students. Companies offering internship may include both national and international.
Infrastructure: If I talk about my college infrastructure and facilities, they are the best as compared to other colleges. And the internet is available everywhere for the everyone and each department has its own departmental library and the food quality is good for eating.
Faculty: If I talk about teachers, the teachers are really well educated. And they taught us that the course curriculum is really tough. The set of question papers is really tough. And there is not a passing percentage because of relatively low grading; I mean, it depends on your performance.
Other: I chose electronics and electrical engineering because of my interest. And many events are conducted at IIT Guwahati. There is one cultural fest, one technical fest and many more.

Our college provides an amazing campus life.
Placements: In EEE, the placement percentage is around 90% to 95%, which is good for a core branch. The highest salary package offered in EEE branch was 48 LPA, the average was 25 LPA to 26 LPA, and the lowest was 8 LPA. Not every student gets an internship. Many MNCs, like Google, Microsoft, Apple, JPMorgan, Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, Uber, etc., recruit students. Professors and administrators will only allow the companies if their minimum package is about 7 LPA-8 LPA. If a company offers less than that, it will not be invited in the future, which is a good thing.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is absolutely good. Our classrooms and lecture halls are very good. They have air conditioning. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus, whether in a food court, a basketball court, or anywhere else, and can be accessed using your IITG credentials. Our labs are also good. They have good instruments and machines. We get good practical understanding from our labs. We have a central library that is open 24 hours a day, so we can borrow any book we want. We have a sports complex and gym called "Gymkhana" in which we can play badminton and table tennis. All of the equipment is in good condition, and any damages are repaired as soon as possible. We also have a squash court, tennis court, hockey court, football ground, cricket field, and multiple basketball courts. The best thing about IITG is its hostels, which are well-maintained. I am in Manas hostel, which is the oldest one among all the hostels, but still it looks very new as they renovate the hostel in between. Juice bars, a canteen, a TV room, a music room, a gym, a volleyball court, a small cricket ground, and stationary shops are all available in hostels. You basically get everything within the hostel. You don't have to go out to get anything. Hostels also have laundry services and washing machines that are free to use. The food at IITG is among the best at any IIT. Manas Hostel has the best food rating among all other hostels. The weather is also very pleasant most of the time. Medical facilities are also good. You can notify the security staff in your hostel at any time, and they will even arrange for an ambulance to transport you to the IITG hospital. Securities and wardens are courteous and quickly resolve our issues.
Faculty: Faculty members are very knowledgeable, but not everyone is a good teacher. Some of them sometimes fail to deliver the understanding that a student needs. We get every slide that lecturers teach us in class in our mail after the class, so we don't have to take notes of everything, which is somewhat relaxing for us students. They tell us about books to refer to and help us. Exams are not that hard if you study properly without wasting too much time. Not everyone passes exams, but if you study, you will get good grades.

Great college with great placement and good faculties for overall development.
Placements: Placement as expected are top notch here at IIT Guwahati. Especially for CSE guys, they get packages equivalent to top 5 IITs of country. Even for core branches, placements are at par with top IITs and better than any NIT or new IITs. Average package this year is about 19 LPA.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure at IITs is the best you could get in India. Labs are well-equipped and you need to do experiment yourself. As for hostels, this will cherish your life forever. All type of facilities is present like hot water, playground, canteen, stationary shop etc. So most probably you don't need to go out of hostel for anything.
Faculty: Faculty is great. Almost everyone has done Ph.D. in their field from reputed colleges of India and abroad like IISc, Princeton etc. They teach you with full zeal and if you have what it takes, you can go for research work. Exams are usually little hard but relative marking makes it little easy.

Great campus life & Excellent placements.
Placements: The institute has exceeded expectations this year (2022) in terms of placements and has performed exceptionally well for all the branches. The overall Average package for B.Tech is around 26 Lacs and the Median is 22 Lacs with the highest package being 1.2 crores. Almost all the major companies come to recruit at IIT Guwahati including Google, Amazon, Microsoft, etc.
Infrastructure: IIT Guwahati has one of the most beautiful campus in India. Infrastructure is also considerably good with 11 boys hostel and 2 girls hostel. Wi-Fi is available in all common areas like classrooms, library, hostel common areas, etc. Mess food is hygienic and few eateries are also available for refreshments.
Faculty: The professors and faculty of IIT Guwahati are highly qualified with almost all faculty holding a Ph.D. The course curriculum is updated to the latest demands and is quite comprehensive. Relative grading is there at IIT Guwahati. Just study sincerely for the exams and you will definitely end up with a great CGPA.

One can have his/her life with an amazing beautiful campus to look around.
Placements: Around 97% of students got placed. All major companies like Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Walmart, Goldman Sacs, etc., were open for our branch. There were mostly software and electrical engineer posts for our course. Data science and AI positions were also offered. The highest salary package offered was 64 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was around 8 LPA - 9 LPA. Almost 80% of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructures in our department were neat. Wi-Fi was available every time. Labs and classrooms were well maintained. Apart from the central library, there was a departmental library. In the hostel, mess food was bearable. The campus hospital was good and was near. There was an ambulance that would come and pick you up if you're ill.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful. We could clarify doubts by reaching out to their office personally. The course curriculum was made with utmost sincerity to learn things gradually. Semester exams would differ from course to course. They were intermediate.

The B.Tech EEE admission in IIT Guwahati is based on the ranks obtained in JEE Advanced (Conducted among the JEE Main qualifiers). The 75% aggregate marks in class 12th are a mandatory requirement for admission. So, you can not get admission here.

My dear, if you are really so enthusiastic then you can do one thing, repeat 12th with preparation for JEE Main, if it's your first chance in JEE.

No, you won't be deemed eligible for admissions into IITs because you haven't qualified the cut-off set for OBC category was 64 and your score is below that. So, you can't get admission in IIT. Explore other options and don't worry, it's not the end.
