A very good place for gaining knowledge!
Placements: I was part of the Covid batch, so I went to college for the 1st year and then directly the last semester. That is why only 40 percent of the students went for placements, and the rest just went for higher studies, including me. Top 5 companies like Deloitte, TCS, Accenture, KPMG, etc. came for our placements, but only TCS offered placement opportunities for our course. The rest were all for B.Com (Hons) students. So that's why placements in our course were limited. The highest package went around 8 lakhs, and the average was 4-5 lakhs at our time; now it has increased.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure facilities in all of the South Campus are the best of Jesus and Mary College. It's spacious with 1 ground for outdoor sports and 1 for an outdoor gym, 1 indoor gym, 1 canteen and smartboards, Wi-Fi, labs, and 1 full 3-floor building dedicated to the library.
Faculty: The faculty is the best; they are supportive, knowledgeable, resourceful, and very kind towards any grievances of students. All the teachers are well-qualified and know their subjects very well. The course curriculum is also relevant and has now even improved a lot. Semester exams are of moderate level difficulty, so unless you don't miss all the internals, you are good to go.
Other: Societies and clubs are the best; you can select any club you want, and the crowd is a mix of all people. Societies include NCC, NSS, GREEN, PEACE, MERCATUS, MERCURIAN TIMES, and EQUAL OPPORTUNITY CELL. And even the placement cell is also run by students. The best thing about my course was you get to learn a lot about economics and entrepreneurship. It's not just an Arts subject but also has commerce involved in it. We had psychology as GE, we had Accountancy for SEC in 1 semester, we had EVS, so it's a mix of all.

Amazing college, best food and a fun campus life with great opportunities for students.
Placements: The placement cell provides quality internships and placements to students, not only internships but opportunities for doing free courses and workshops are given that leads to the overall skill development of the students. Big companies like Accenture come for placement drives. The package offered was 5 lakh per annum maximum package offered was 19.25 Lacs but that was for B.A. Hons courses. Around 70% of the students get placed out of those who sit for the interviews.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure here is amazing this college is beautiful and aesthetic. The classrooms are decent. There is no hostel facility but PG's are nearby just walking distance from the college. The canteen in the college is amazing. The labs and libraries are full of required resources.
Faculty: The faculty here is very nice and understanding teachers explain the concept and repeats it till every student understands it. The B.A. programme course itself allows upskilling in a wide variety of subjects. The semester exams are conducted smoothly. The course curriculum is good there is a change in the subject after every semester one is the language the other subjects like cybercrime and psychology is also there.
Other: The fest is one of the best top artists that come for performance, even in online mode the fests were conducted. There are a lot of societies here that provide exposure to students. Also, the food in the canteen is very yummy and affordable.

It is one the best colleges in Delhi University.
Placements: Placements in our college were good for internship basis as I never accept any offer for job purpose. There were good companies that tried up the college placement cell. I am not aware of the salary packages offered. Many friends said that they were happy with the placement cell.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is great, and the library is huge, with a variety of collection of books that include course-related and unrelated too. Classrooms are spacious and with good ventilation. Canteen, medical facilities and sport rooms are properly maintained. I am satisfied with it.
Faculty: Teachers in our college were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was also good. They give you time to understand and gain knowledge from them. The syllabus was completed as soon as possible before the exam starts.
Other: This college is one of the best colleges among Delhi university. Your world is going to change in all good terms.

My college life in JMC will always be in my heart.
Placements: Placements is mostly for commerce students. College should also open chances for other departments as well. The highest package overall for all departments was 10 Lacs per annum whereas the lowest was 3 Lacs per annum. Internship opportunities are great. And generally internships are open for all courses .
Infrastructure: JMC has a very sound infrastructure. All facilities are available. Library, mess, ground are there. Washroom are cleaned and hygienic. Drinking water facility is also there. Classrooms are big and appropriate number of benches and chairs in the class. Medical facilities is also there.
Faculty: Teachers are kind hearted and friendly. They are knowledgeable and well qualified. No doubt JMC is one of the best colleges of DU And what I feel is this is possible because of the staff of the college. They took classes on zoom to wide up with course.

JMC has one of the best campus infrastructure and crowd
Placements: We had almost a class strength of 45-50 students with major combinations of Economics and Entrepreneurship, or Economics with Maths. There were very limited placement opportunities. Only 2-3 got internship opportunities. Majority opportunities were for Honours students.
Infrastructure: JMC has one of the best campus infrastructure and crowd. The vibes are way different than compared to North campus. Plus it's a girls college so vibes always are different. The Montage fest, Kehkasha, Nrityanjali dance group, Echo music group are the best in our college. Provided with all kinds of facilities like canteen, library, Diwali Mela, medical facilities and also wide variety of different programmes.
Faculty: We were given notes by the teachers for our understanding and preparation. Related examples and references were provided. All faculty were well managed and professionalism existed. The course basically depends on your interest level and how much you are eager to learn about the economy and focus on becoming an entrepreneur.
Other: Montage and Diwali Mela are the best to remember and cherish.

Students also asked

Q:   Can I get direct admission at Jesus and Mary College?

A:

No, you cannot get direct admission at Jesus and Mary College. The admission to the college is done through online mode, and the candidates must be eligible based on merit in the last qualifying examination. The eligibility criteria for admission to UG programs require candidates to complete the last qualifying examination with the required percentage. The admission to BCom (H) requires candidates to have studied mathematics in the 12th standard. The college offers UG, PG, and certificate courses, and the admission criteria are either entrance exams or merit-based. The college has a specific admission schedule, including registration, application, and document submission dates. The college is committed to 50% reservation for minority students who are Christians and provides directions for reserved seats for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD category students.

Q:   Are admissions at Jesus and Mary College entrance-based or merit-based?

A:

Jesus and Mary College (JMC), located in New Delhi, India follows enterance-based admissions. The candidate's 12th score is also taken into consideration. The eligibility criteria for most of the courses is a candidate must have cleared 12th with a minimum of 50% marks in the relevant stream from a recognized board.

After that candidates have to apply for CUET exams conducted by the college. Admission to the courses is based on these CUET exams only.

Q:   Can students join Jesus and Mary College directly without any entrance exam?

A:

As last update in January 2022, admission policies can vary from year to year and may be subject to change. Jesus and Mary College (JMC), like many other colleges in India, typically requires students to undergo an entrance examination or meet certain eligibility criteria for admission into its undergraduate programs. These entrance exams could be conducted at the national level, like the Common Entrance Test (CET) or university-level exams conducted by the University of Delhi.

However, colleges may have provisions for direct admission under certain circumstances such as reserved seats for specific categories, sports quota, or merit-based admissions. It's best to check the latest admission guidelines provided by Jesus and Mary College or the University of Delhi to confirm the current admission process and eligibility criteria. You can visit Shiksha's website for more information.

Q:   Does Jesus and Mary College accept CUET score?

A:

As of my last update in January 2022, Jesus and Mary College (JMC) in New Delhi, India, is affiliated with the University of Delhi. At that time, the University of Delhi primarily admitted students based on merit lists derived from board examination scores (such as CBSE or other relevant boards), rather than through entrance exams like the CUET (Common University Entrance Test).

However, educational policies and admission procedures can change over time, so I would recommend checking the official website of Jesus and Mary College or the University of Delhi for the most up-to-date information regarding their admission process and acceptance of the CUET score.

Q:   How is the college life at Jesus and Mary College?

A:

College life in any college depends on various factors. In JMC, college life will mainly depend on the kind of people/friends you meet. It is actually happening for people with group of active friends as there are lot of cafes nearby to visit with your friends.  Fests are a regular thing in JMC especially in the month of April / May which gets boring at times but still fun. The campus is beautiful with many picture taking spots and an amazing library.
