Why to choose Kirori Mal College for history course!
Placements: In this course, no such placement is offered. It gives you the opportunity to learn, which you can apply on your own. As I already told you, there is no such placement for a history course or any other course except the commerce program and other science programs. But
Infrastructure: The hostel facility is excellent and is available for boys. You get snacks and all meals of a very good quality. You can get vegetarian and nonvegetarian food here. Most important is the infrastructure of the hostel. The hostel is well equipped with all facilities like sports, mess, canteen, etc.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers here are one of the best, especially in the 2 and 3 years. You get to learn more as their teaching style is unique and you relate to them. The course is according to the curriculum set in NEP 2020 by the du. The semester exam is not difficult as you know what questions will be coming by assessing the PYQ and with teacher guidance. Pass percentage is 33 percent.

A decent exposure to the campus life.
Placements: No such placements were entertained or offered by the college to the students enrolled in our course. In fact, there is a minimal chance for humanities students to get recruited by a company. However, those students who have experience and exposure through past internships have a decent chance of getting placed.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is above average overall. The classrooms, especially the department room, are not well maintained. Wi-Fi is only accessible in certain areas. Though science labs are quite profound and well maintained,. The food in the canteen is average and the only thing you would want to eat would be samosas. Infrastructure for sports is good with availability of boxing bring, volleyball and basketball courts, cricket and football fields, badminton court etc.
Faculty: The faculty for the course is well qualified and knowledgeable. Apart from some professor, most of the teachers are helpful and generous. Semester exams are quite easy and don't need rigorous preparation. Nearly 95% of the students can clearly pass these exams.

The college has a great scope.
Placements: Generally, in my course, the placements are based on the skills that you have. There are various startups that recruit, along with some established organizations like Speaking Archeologically and others. Students are less driven for placements as they either prefer to go for a master's or prepare for civil service.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are worth it. It is value for money. The college is a bit compact but it is vibrant. Every corner will have some thing or another going on. There are AC rooms that are smaller in number but can be occupied. The quality of the food is also nice and it is cheaply available in the canteen.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and experienced but it also depends on the student how much they can afford. There is a library that has books and printouts. The exams are quite unpredictable as they go out of the college for correction. The curriculum is relevant.
Other: The campus life is great and there are numerous societies that conduct their fests throughout the year.

It has better hostel facilities than all other DU college hostels.
Placements: The history course is not meant for placement, although students pursue various internships, e.g., national museum internships, during their graduation period. Only a small fraction of students get internships; most students pursue higher studies in history itself.
Infrastructure: The history department had good faculties, and the department also had a library, which is poorly managed. Their are no such labs for history courses. The history has overall 7 seats in hostels from all years. The hostel is the best place for students, especially those who come from distant places. The hostel food is the best among all the other college hostels. The hostel also provides various facilities of sports, games, gyms, etc. But 7 CGPA is mandatory to maintain hostel in all years; otherwise, they will expel the student.
Faculty: The overall faculty is good, and a few teachers are very industrious in their work. The course pattern is designed to be similar to the UPSC curriculum; those who want to prepare for UPSC will surely get help from the syllabus. Although the students will not be industry-ready. Exams are held on a semester basis, and maintaining a CGPA of 7 or higher is required.
Other: I am always interested in reading history tables and I am always curious about historical events. And I am interested in knowing about any place history. I chose history to attend to the same point of interest in excellence. Paper writing could be a sphere in the department that could be improved. And our department organized many events annually, among them academic events.

I am very satisfied with this college.
Placements: There were no placements in this college. Many students opted for exams like UPSC so they were not interested in placements. The average salary package offered ranges between 3 LPA - 4 LPA.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, a library, a gym, and a playground were available. Separate hostels were available for both boys and girls. There was a restroom in this college.
Faculty: It was the best college on the north campus. Faculty members were very good. They conduct separate classes for both Hindi and English medium students. Teachers were very good.
Other: Our campus life was very good.
