Q:   What to do after JEE Main session 2 result?

A:

Candidates preparing for IITs are only required to appear for the JEE Advanced entrance exam after qualifying JEE Main. Students who who secure above the 98th percentile in JEE Main 2024 Session 2 should start preparing for JEE Advanced 2025 immediately. Those who score between 95th and 98th percentile should focus on improving their JEE Main score by taking multiple mock tests and practicing previous year's question papers. By analysing their strengths and weaknesses, candidates can identify their areas of proficiency and topics where they need improvement. If they can achieve full marks in their practice sessions, they can start preparing for JEE Advanced. However, if they cannot score full marks, it is recommended that they appear for multiple mock test series for more practice.

A college with good infrastructure and helpful faculty members.
Placements: More than 70% of students get placed every year. The average salary package offered to a placed student at MAIT is around 8 LPA - 9 LPA. Top companies that recruit students from our college are ZS, Accenture, Infosys, and Mahindra. Companies visit the campus for internships. Mostly startup companies visit our college.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure wise college is pretty good. There are acs in classrooms. Wi-Fi connection is available in labs. I have not lived in the hostel but have recieved decent reviews for the hostel as well. Hostel has a separate mess also which has a full schedule for weeks diet.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They provide students with notes. Most of the faculty members are Ph.D. holders in their subjects. They motivate students to write research papers regarding their subjects. Semester exams are of good difficulty. The passing percentage is 33.3%.

This college has decent Infrastructure and placements, Great Academics and amazing value for money.
Placements: On-campus placements have been average. In the last batch, nearly 60% of students were placed, and the average salary package offered was 8 LPA-10 LPA. Majority of recruiting companies were mass recruiters, like ZS Associates, which offered a salary package of 13.6 LPA, while other companies offered packages in a similar range. Internship fairs are also conducted periodically, and many students have received internship offers.
Infrastructure: All labs have Wi-Fi facilities and computers with adequate RAM. Systems offer dual-boot options for both Windows and Fedora. Classrooms are air-conditioned and equipped with whiteboards, and some rooms also have smart boards or projectors for enhanced learning. Library is well-stocked with the latest journals, magazines, and books, and there is a book bank facility available for a refundable deposit of 5,000 rupees, allowing access to curriculum books. All blocks are equipped with lifts and have accessible features such as ramps for persons with disabilities. College canteen offers a wide range of items, including a juice corner, an Amul tea/coffee shop, a cafe, and an ice cream parlor. Medical facilities are available in each block, with a doctor on campus, and the college is located next to a hospital for serious injuries. Additionally, the college has a multipurpose ground for football and cricket, as well as a volleyball court, a basketball court, and an indoor badminton court.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful with academics and often assist students outside the classroom as well. Most teachers have a strong grasp of their subjects and are available for doubt-clearing beyond college hours. Course curriculum is sufficient for building a foundation but is not fully adequate for placements and internships, which require more hands-on experience and practical knowledge than is currently provided. Semester exams are easy if a student has attended a reasonable number of lectures. Teachers also provide notes and slides. Around 95% of students pass the exams, while those who don't typically have extenuating circumstances, such as illness or inability to attend. Some subjects, particularly those in Electrical fields, are challenging and require a solid grasp of basics as well as the ability to apply knowledge practically. These subjects tend to be lower-scoring and demand additional effort.
Other: College has dozens of societies and clubs. That fast strong networks and connections between students, as well as opportunities to learn new skills and gain exposure to the industry through hackathons, inter-college events, and more. College also hosts an annual tech fest and cultural fest, where artists like Raftaar have performed.

The college is good with good faculty.
Placements: Placements at MAIT have been increasing, but it all boils down to the quality of students. As an Active Placement Cell Coordinator and Corporate Relations Member, the college tries its best to invite companies on campus. DEShaw, Adobe, and Atlassian are big names, and the count will definitely increase. The highest package off-campus goes as high as 1 Cr+. This depends on the student, but the students are capable; if the institute offers more support, these figures will improve significantly.
Infrastructure: MAIT has a decent campus with decent facilities. Labs are not up to the best mark but work okay; there is definitely a need to improve them. The library is probably the best part of it—well-maintained and equipped. The canteen is decent as well, with fairly low rates. Sports facilities are practically non-existent and need improvement. Wi-Fi is the worst part; it's an engineering college, and it should have free high-speed Wi-Fi, but that doesn't exist.
Faculty: Faculty members at MAIT, like in any other college, vary a lot. In every department, only a handful of people know how to teach; the rest are just there to collect their salaries. The curriculum is fairly outdated; they are teaching in FSD specialization. Really? PHP? Industry readiness is not a thing here; just cram the night before the exam, and you will likely pass.

The college is quite subpar but has a good crowd.
Placements: In 2022, the highest package in B.Teach went up to 1.2 crores, and the average in B.Teach is around 8 LPA, but in the CS IT branch, it’s 10-11 LPA. ZS Associates is one of the companies that recruit many people with an average package of about 13 LPA. Overall, placement is good.
Infrastructure: The labs, classrooms, and library are mostly air-conditioned, and there are 3-4 canteens within the college, including ones from Amul and Nescafé, and the food is good too. The campus size is quite decent, and the ground is good as well, with goal posts for football.
Faculty: The faculty is average. Some teachers create interest in students and motivate them, whereas some do not teach that well. The curriculum relevance is good; for example, DSA is very important in IT engineering, and that is being taught here. However, the curriculum in the first year is quite irrelevant as they teach everything, including welding.

I am satisfied with the college.
Placements: Placement in our college is average. The average package is around 12 LPA. I don't know the top recruiting companies, but the top roles offered are software engineers. Overall, placements are good, with around 80% of students placed.
Infrastructure: The campus has a very good environment for students to study and make friends. Labs are well-designed according to subjects, and we have a whole building for the library. Sports facilities are also very good, and medical facilities are available in my college.
Faculty: The faculty is very supportive and professional in their subjects. Semester exams are not that difficult to pass, and the passing percentage is very good. Teachers are very supportive, and the overall college environment is great for studying. The students are also very nice.
