Excellent college to pursue engineering career.
Placements: The placements of NIT Agartala are very good. Previous year, the highest package received was INR 22 LPA and average was 8.7 LPA for Engineering Physics. Most students get into the field of research and teaching so the on campus placements are not quite good.
Infrastructure: NIT Agartala has a beautiful green campus with an area of 365.5 acres. The hostels of the campus are really excellent. We get double sharing rooms in our first year and single rooms during the remaining years (for boys). The hostel has Wi-Fi facility and each hostel has its own mess.
Faculty: The faculty members of NIT Agartala are really good and the curriculum for the first year of course is same for every batch this year. It's really helpful for the students to gain a lot of knowledge and information regarding their field of interest, and also to gain technical knowledge.

It provides an awesome campus and hostel life, and ragging-free environment.
Placements: I am pursuing my degree in engineering physics which is actually a research-oriented field. Hence, most of the students go for their higher studies after completing the degree here. On average, in the batch of 20 students, 3 students go abroad for their MS or PhD every year, and almost 13 go to pursue their PhDs from other prestigious universities in India, and the rest apply for a job. The jobs in this field include professorship in colleges and as a research fellow. Students get placed in IT companies as this course has a part of electronics and communication in its curriculum. Other industries also hire students in this course in research and development. The average salary offered in this course varies between 5 to 6 Lacs per annum, which is actually a decent package for beginners.
Infrastructure: If you are thinking that NIT, Agartala, being a college in North-East India, would lack infrastructure or facilities, then you are totally wrong. The campus is of 365 hectares and is one of a kind. The renovated buildings with modern architecture and lush green campus are mind-dazzling. The hostel rooms are excellent with high-speed Wi-Fi, and every hostel building is provided with a warden to look before the needs of hostelers. The sports complex is the biggest among all other NITs, which also include a swimming pool and all other sports equipment and playgrounds. The labs are all equipped with the latest instruments. Classrooms are spacious and have a study environment. The opinion about the mess food varies from person to person, but the overall quality is good. The canteens are otherwise open (even at night). The campus also has medical facilities all the time. The student clubs are really good here as it helps you increase your interaction with other people and seniors. The seniors here are also very friendly, and the campus has a ragging-free environment. In addition, ISRO has its innovation incubation center to promote new and innovative ideas of space technology by the students.
Faculty: About 65% of the teachers are PhD holders, and the rest have the highest qualification of Masters or are pursuing their PhD. The teachers are really friendly, and from my personal experience, I can tell that they never try to avoid the doubts of the students. The overall teaching quality is very good as they teach you the concepts from the very basics. Only one thing that can be problematic for students belonging to the rural part as teachers here teach in English, but otherwise, the teaching quality is excellent. The curriculum of engineering physics is really good to increase your thinking capability and the ability to solve complex industry-related problems.
Other: The one and only motive of my to choose this course is so that I could do research in future, but also I have options to join in Industries and in IT companies. The campus life of this college is second to no one, as the cultural fest energises the whole environment, and the technical fest takes you to a new world of innovation and technology. The sports events, other events and workshops never allow you to get bored with academics. The campus is easy to reach and well connected by both airways and railways, but airways are the most preferable and easy to reach. The campus surrounding is friendly and quiet. The most important thing in NIT, Agartala, is the diversity among students. Various languages and cultures from all over India and abroad find a supportive roof in NIT Agartala. The total fee for 4 years is almost 6 Lacs for a general student, which includes both hostel and tuition fees. The total tuition fee waives are provided to the students of SC and ST categories and also to the students having overall family income less than 1 Lac per year. Other students having an overall family income of less than 8 Lacs and students of the OBC category are provided with 3/4 of the tuition fee waivers. After that, the total tuition fee waiver amount to be paid is almost Rs 2,50,000 for 4 years. After 3/4 tuition fee waiver amount to be paid is almost Rs 6,00,000 for 4 years.

Dissatisfied because of high fees and low return of investment.
Placements: Basically, Engineering physics is a research-oriented branch which includes Electronics and Applied physics in the curriculum. Most of the students from this branch go for higher studies and few got placed in IT sector. Almost 40% of students got placed last year. The highest package, according to my knowledge, was 19 LPA. Lowest is 3 LPA. Average is 5 LPA. Students got internships in ATC, research institutes, and other NITs and IITs. Roles offered are astronomy, nuclear science, rocket science, nanotechnology, etc.
Infrastructure: For whole institute, infrastructure is okay. In my branch, the infrastructure is not up to the satisfactory level. Lab equipments is old and outdated, as are other institutions. Wifi is good enough and there is no complaint about classroom and library. Mess food is as usual; canteens are there outside of the hostels. The medical facility is too poor. Sports and games facilities are good enough.
Faculty: Faculty members are as usual nothing special. Teaching quality differs from teacher to teacher but at the end, YouTube is everyone's last option. Answering the second question: I don't think so. Some contents are irrelevant. Semester exams are not so hard. 80% of students do not have any backlogs and pass.
Other: I have chosen this course because I have an interest in it. The best thing is there is less academic pressure in the course so you can utilize your time in developing some skills. Curriculum should be improved. Majorly one tech fest and one cultural fest are there, including dandiya night and many more. Connectivity is average because the campus is surrounded by forest area. No issues with scholarships. Different clubs are there for dance, singing, acting, fine arts, coders club, robotics club, civil services club, automobile club, etc.

NITA is a very good college.
Placements: Placements in our college are very good for some of the students, but overall, it is not much good. The average salary offered was in between 4 LPA to 6 LPA. Syllabus of this branch is very tough. According to hard work, it is not a good branch. The placement percentage of this branch is not 100%. Overall, I suggest you that if you are interested in physics, then take this branch, and otherwise not.
Infrastructure: Our college is very good. Everything is available in the college. National level sports events are organised in our college. There is a sports complex for indoor games. Grounds are very beautiful to play outdoor games. Hostel facilities are also very good. The whole college is greenery. Very good park and lake are present in the college.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very good, but our course curriculum is very hard. You have to read at the top level of physics to pass the exam. Students will not secure the placements from this branch, so don't waste your time in this branch. The fee is also very high, and that is, Rs. 46,000 per semester in all the categories.
Other: All the events are organised in our college which is a wonderful experience for the first year students. There are about 3,000 students in our college.

NIT Agartala - a place of wisdom and beauty.
Placements: I got placed at Infosys even my most of the friends got placed. They all were placed in India's some of the good companies. Around 90 percent of the students got an offer from one or more than one companies. The highest package offered was 22 lacs per annum, and lowest offered was 3.25 lacs per annum. The average offered was 7 lacs per annum. Some got the role as a software developer, senior software developer, senior system engineer, senior data scientist, etc. The internship percentage is less but satisfactory since the college is located in North Eastern area, so the communications and outreach is a problem. The highest stipends offered was 22 thousand per month, and the lowest was zero. I can't say about average because everyone didn't do Internship there. There are a training and placement cell in my college. It is efficient. Most of training and placement companies visit due to the efficient working of this cell.
Infrastructure: If I have to give 10 out of 10 points in anything for my college, then it would be its infrastructure. The central library, knowledge park, sports complex, Aryabhatta hostel, academic block and the student activity centre all are newly built and have a marvelous view. The environment makes everything perfect. If you want to go there, then you must go.
Faculty: The faculty is not good, but that's the problem of the whole nation. But they are supportive. Everything depends on the student. You will get everything there. The teaching methodology is a poor and old class like everywhere in India. The curriculum is superb. We get every kind of exposure there but I already have told you due to in North east that kind of outreach is missing.
Other: Event and fest are popular even in the state Tripura. During the fest, the campus becomes crowdy. We have hosted various events. The popular figure like Jubin Nautiyal, Monali Thakur, Nana Patekar, Vishal Dadlani and Smriti Irani have already visited our campus. The campus surroundings are beautiful. A lot of extracurricular activities are available there. You can play any game you want to play. The cultural activities are enriched due to culture background of state.
