A:
Hello, I appreciate your interest in B.Tech from M. S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology. As you do not have a domicile of Karnataka, you can appear for COMEDK entrance examination. Unlocking the Real Experience: An Insider’s Review of MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
Placements: Almost 85 to 90% students get placed. The highest for this year overall was 52 LPA and the average was 8 to 12 LPA. Almost 250 to 300 companies come for the placements with all the top companies. The students who get placed get the internship from the company. The roles offered are employee, team leader, and manager roles.
Infrastructure: The campus and classes are well-equipped with Wi-Fi facilities all over. The classrooms also have projectors and smartboards. The library has almost 1,00,000 books with many books. The hostels are usually 2 sharing with vegetarian mess food and it has many sports facilities and equipment and ground and also doctor consultation.
Faculty: The teachers are very much helpful and they are highly qualified and knowledgeable. Also, they have done doctorate in their programs and teaching quality is very good. The course curriculum for the 1st year for all branches is the same, but from the 2nd year, the curriculum is made according to the branch-wise subjects and makes them industry-ready by the end of the 3rd year for placements. The semester exams are not much difficult and almost everyone passes the exam.
Other: I chose this course because it is one of the advanced technology courses in the future of electronics and devices and gadgets, all of which are made from electronics and semiconductors. Various events are held in the college and campus life is very good. There are different types of clubs with all the extracurricular activities, and scholarships are given to students by the Government of Karnataka and India.

Dissatisfies with placements of our college in 2023. The infrastructure is good.
Placements: The placements in our core is average. It's about 3-4LPA in core companies even in IT companies its about 6-7LPA. Neither Ericssons nor Nokia or any other telecom companies came to our college. Embedded Systems, Network Engineer, Telecom Engineer, Radio Frequency Engineer are the roles offered by the course. Placements in other college core have an average of 15-20LPA. So the placements is average over here.
Infrastructure: Every student have an access to college Wi-Fi which is 2GB for day scholars and 10 GB for hostelling. Library is equipped with digital library and have access to IEEE papers and journals of scientific communities. The quality of hostel is average. The campus provides only veh food. So the hostel inside campus do the same. Freshers block feels is 93k per year. 2nd year students and onwards it depends on block. Arybhatta block os the oldest and the cheapest. Its 72k per year and rooms look like jails with mental door. MSR gokul provides non veg and the feels is 1.25 Lacs per year. Its outside the campus. Canteen is average, have seen a couple os mice running around. So the hygiene is not good. I'm not satisfied with this campus at all.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified with the course they're providing. The curriculum is not at par with industry standards. Its very old. Even practical labs are very old. If you want to be industry ready, they dint provide with the knowledge they give. Analog circuit design is the toughest subject and thr most important one. The oass percentage in core subjects is average around 40 percent.
Other: Since 2019 udbhav hasn't been conducted. This year it was going to he conducted but " due to unforeseen circumstances" they didnt conduct. Theatrix is another event where different clubs showcase their drama skills. There are different curriculum and extra curriculum clubs. Overall the social life is great in our college.

A good college in terms of placements and infrastructure, but no fests or campus life.
Placements: For our department, Electronics and Telecommunication, no official data is disclosed by the department, but whatever we have heard from our seniors is that placement is there for the core field, where the median salary lies around 7-9 LPA. Many students do opt for IT jobs or plan for further studies.
Infrastructure: In terms of facilities, it is one of the best facilities a college can offer. Wi-Fi has an average speed of 100 Mbps, classroom seats are fairly comfortable, and libraries are plentiful, both for each department as well as common libraries. There are four options for hostels, unfortunately, only for boys. There are no college hostels provided for girls (P.S. there are plenty of PGs and hostels around the college). The options are: Freshers Block (only for freshers), Aryabhatta, Ratan Tata Block, and PG Hostel. A student can choose as per availability, fee, and convenience.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are fairly good, and the exams happen once every month, so the timings are fine as well. There is placement in the college, which says that the course curriculum is somewhat relevant, though we have heard from our seniors that our syllabus is a bit outdated compared to the current market scenario. The pass percentage is good, though the semester exams are between moderate to tough levels, especially for circuital branches like EEE, ECE, ETE, and EIE.
Other: What I dislike is we don't have fests like other colleges, and the campus area is not that big. Apart from that, the college is very good; you will find a good crowd here. Clubs are mid; you have to grind on your own if you want to stand out from the league.

I am satisfied studying here, but now I only want to get the best placements.
Placements: The placements are good in this college. If students are hardworking, then this college provides them with a lot of opportunities. Apple visits our campus to hire students. The previous year, a student had been given a 37 LPA package by Apple. Placements in branches like CSE, ECE, etc, are good.
Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is good, it has the best laboratories, grounds, and classrooms. If students will include the medical and law campus as well then it can compete with any top-notch government colleges. The hostel facility is great i.e MSR Gokul hostel.
Faculty: The curriculum is revised and designed according to the NEP new scheme. Proctor is provided for every student, students can discuss any problems with their proctor. Teachers are the best here, and the newly revised course has less written learning. It is more focused on understanding the concept.

A brief about MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology.
Placements: The placement cell of Ramaiah is very active in providing internship and placement opportunities to students. The placement percentage last year was 95%, with the highest package of 50 LPA and a median package of 8 LPA. We start receiving internship opportunities from our third year onwards.
Infrastructure: The electronics and telecommunication department is the most well-regarded department at Ramaiah. Students and faculty have a very good bond, and we never hesitate to approach our professors, not even our HOD. The HOD is the most amazing personality I've ever met. The hostel facilities at Ramaiah are nice, except for the monotonous mess menu.
Faculty: The faculty is the best and highly qualified. The curriculum might seem old, but it builds a solid foundation upon which students can develop skills based on their respective interests. We have two internal exams of 30 marks each, and the average of the two is considered. The 20-mark component consists of assignments or quizzes taken by the faculty throughout the semester. The semester-end exams are of 100 marks, which are converted to fifty.
Other: The campus size of Ramaiah is not that big, although all the necessary facilities are available on campus despite the size. The canteen and cafeteria at Ramaiah are very affordable, and the food quality is also good.

According to me, the course is good and placement opportunities are good. If you have little background in electronics in your PUC is enough. Mainly if you are interested in networking and communication fields, you can succeed.
