GATE 2025 Exam Centre: The Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee has released an updated list of the Zone-wise GATE 2025 exam cities on the GATE 2025 information brochure and official website. Candidates can check their GATE 2025 exam cities on the official website and this page. Candidates must choose their preferences for GATE exam cities during the GATE 2025 application process. The registrations and correction facility has been closed by the GATE conducting authorities. The GATE 2025 admit card will be released on January 2, 2025. IIT Roorkee has also added a new GATE two-paper combinations list for registered candidates. The facility was available from November 14 to November 20, 2024, at the GOAPS portal. The last date to make corrections for PwD applicants was November 22, 2024. Candidates could select up to three exam cities while filling out the GATE form. GATE 2025 registrations with regular and late fees have been closed. Candidates can now download their application form. 

The exam-conducting authority allowed the candidates to change the earlier selected exam cities during the correction period, with an additional fee for the GATE 2025 application form correction facility. The GATE 2025 application form correction facility was available from October 31 to November 20, 2024 (for regular candidates) and November 22, 2024 (for PwD candidates). Check below for the list of GATE 2025 exam centres. The authorities will conduct the GATE 2025 exam at around 200 exam centres from the cities mentioned below-

Candidates must know that the GATE 2025 exam will not be held outside India. Any foreign student who fills out the GATE 2025 application form must choose the exam centres inside India. The exam authorities are not responsible for travel and accommodation; candidates must make all the arrangements themselves.

The list of the available exam cities for GATE exam under IIT Delhi Zone are as follows-

GATE 2025 Exam Centres for Foreign Nationals

There will be no GATE 2025 exam centers outside India for foreign nationals. As per the GATE 2025 notification, "There are no international centres for the GATE 2025 examination. Desirous foreign or Indian nationals interested in appearing for the GATE 2025 examination will have to travel to India to appear for the test."

How to change the examination city for GATE 2025?

  • Step-1: Visit the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website
  • Step-2: Login to your account with your Enrollment ID/Email Address, Password and Captcha
  • Step-3: Click on Change Examination City
  • Step-4: After making changes to the GATE 2025 examination city, you need to make a payment of Rs 500

Choice of examination city: The candidate can choose three cities from the list of examination cities given in the above table. The first and second choices must be from the same GATE zone and the third choice can be from any GATE zone.

If a candidate chooses a particular city (in a particular zone) as the first choice, then they will be able to select the city of the second choice only from that particular zone. However, the third choice can be from any one of the listed cities (i.e., no restriction on the zone for the third choice city). Note that, because of the operational constraints, the GATE Committee reserves the right to add a new city or remove an existing one, and allot a city that may not be from any of the choices selected by the candidate.

Candidates can change the GATE exam city during the GATE application form correction at the GOAPS portal. The step-by-step process to change the GATE exam city is as follows -

  • Visit the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) website
