Q:   Is it good to pursue BA from BHU?

A: 

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) is one of the top-ranking universities in the country. In the NIRF rankings in 2023, BHU is ranked in fifth position under the "university" category. Moreover, as per the university NIRF report 2023, 480 UG (three-year) students were placed out of 3,564. The median package given to the placed candidates stood at INR 8 LPA. Q:   Can I join BHU without CUET?

A: 

Yes, Banaras Hindu University accepts CUET-UG entrance exam scores for admission to BA (Hons) course. Earlier, admission to the UG course was through BHU UET. Moreover, only the candidates who have valid CUET-UG scores become eligible to register for the counselling round. The CUET application process is carried out in online mode (cuet.samarth.ac.in). Further, NTA conducts CUET-UG 2024 entrance test. The exam is scheduled between May 15 and May 31.

Q:   Is BA Hons available in BHU?

A: 

Yes, the university offers three-year BA (Hons) courses in the stream of Social Sciences and Arts across multiple specialisations. The UG-level course is offered on the main campus and through BHU-affiliated colleges as well. Some of the BHU BA courses specialisations are Economics, History, Political Science, Sociology, Psychology, Mathematics, Statistics & Geography, Hindi, Kannada, Marathi, Persian, Pali, Sanskrit, Tamil, and Telugu. Review of Banaras Hindu University.
Placements: Around 20-30% of students got placed in our college. Companies recruit students as language translators and data scientists. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Wipro, etc. Many students got internships.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is very good. It has 24X7 electricity, free and fast Wi-Fi, and a great library with all relevant books. Classrooms are well-equipped with digital boards. Smart classrooms are available in our college. The hostel facilities are very good with a good mess.
Faculty: All teachers are very helpful and supportive. Exams are a bit difficult. Professors guide us.
Other: I got this course due to my rank in the entrance exam.

Review of BHU - Banaras Hindu University.
Placements: 76% of students got placed. The lowest package offered is 8 LPA, and the highest package could be 15 LPA. Many colleges and schools recruit us. If you do master's, the package can increase up to 15-20 Lacs per annum, and you can also get placed in college.
Infrastructure: There are labs, Wi-Fi, and good-quality food on campus. The campus environment is good and friendly. Teachers are very good. Hostel rooms are comfortable, with many options.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and helpful. Their teaching skills are above average. Semester exams are not much difficult. It depends on your knowledge.
Other: Campus life at BHU is quite good. It feels good here. The crowd is good.

A: 

Admission to the BA (Hons) programmes at BHU is based on CUET-UG scores. Only the students with a valid score on this exam are admitted by the university.
