NEET PG 2024 cut off percentile has been reduced by MCC. The cut off percentile has been lowered to make more candidates eligible for remaining counselling rounds. As per the revised cut off, candidates who belong to general category and EWS, must have 15 percentile to participate in NEET PG 2024 counselling. For SC/ST, the cut off has been reduced to 10. 

The cut off is the minimum qualifying marks that a candidate has to secure to qualify for the exam. NBE uploaded NEET PG 2024 result in PDF format online. The cut off scores for NEET PG 2024 will be released separately for each category. Candidates have to score more than or equal to the cut off to qualify for NEET PG 2024 exam.The cutoff for NEET PG 2024 is the basis for shortlisting candidates for MD/MS/ PG diploma courses in India. NBE released NEET PG 2024 merit list for 50% AIQ seats on september 5, 2024.

On the basis of cut off marks, a merit list is prepared, comprising candidates who will be participating in counselling for All India Quota Seats. For general category candidates, the minimum cut off percentile is 50th while for reserved category (SC/ST/OBC), the minimum percentile is 40th. Cut off marks is decreased at times if seats remain vacant to be filled up. Candidates will have to register online to participate in NEET PG 2024 counselling process for seat allotment. A:

Q:   What is the revised qualifying cutoff for NEET PG 2024?

A: 

NEET PG 2024 cut off has been reduced for each category. MCC has reduced cut off percentile for general category as 15. For SC/ST, the cut off eligibility is 10. Candidates who have marks as per the revised cut off will be participating in remaining counselling rounds for NEET PG 2024.

Q:   Who releases cut off for NEET PG?

A: 

National Board of Examinations (NBE) releases cut off for NEET PG. It must be noted the cut off is releases along with NEET PG result. Candidates have to score minimum cut off to qualify for the exam. The minimum cut off is different for different category. For the general category, the minimum qualifying cut off is 50 percentile marks while for SC/ST, the qualifying cut off is 40. NEET PG 2024 Cut off

NBE has reduced cutoff percenile score for NEET PG 2024. The revised cut off has been provided below. Only those candidates who qualify for the examination with minimum cut off are eligible for the counselling process. However, if the number of candidates who have qualified the examination is less than three times the number of seats, NBE revises the cutoff percentile.

NEET PG cut off 2024: Tie-Breaker

 In case of two students secure the same score in the NEET PG merit list 2024, then the following tie-breaking criteria will be considered for providing admission:

More number of correct responses: Candidates who have a greater number of correct responses in the question paper will be placed at a better merit position.

Less number of incorrect responses: Those with a lesser number of negative responses in the question paper will be placed at a higher rank in NEET PG 2024 merit list.

Age: The candidate who will be older than his/her counterpart will be preferred in case of the tie.

Higher aggregate marks: In case of the tie, the candidate who had secured higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS Professional Examinations will be preferred.

A: 

Candidates have to score the minimum cut off to qualify for the exam. The cut off vary for different categories. NEET PG 2024 cut off percentile for the general category students was 50 originally but it was reduced to 15 by MCC. The cut off for SC/ST was reduced to 10. Those who score less than minimum cut off for that category do not qualify for the exam. A: 

Yes. NBE reduces NEET PG cut off in case seats remain vacant after counseling rounds. Reducation of cut off makes more number of candidates eligible to participate in the counselling who were earlier ineligible due to low score. For 2023-24 session, NBE had reduced cut off to zero for all category. For 2022-23 session, the cut off was reduced by 25 percentile for each category.
