The report sheds light on six states—Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Rajasthan. It underscores the need for reforms like embedding skill-based education from grades 9–12, aligned with local industry needs.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, alongside Labour and Employment Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, launched the "Jobs at Your Doorstep" report by the World Bank, spotlighting India's skilling potential and its transformative agenda under NEP 2020.

Speaking at the event, Pradhan lauded the report for its insights into six states—Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Rajasthan. He proposed expanding its framework nationwide to drive strategic policymaking for job creation and economic empowerment. Pradhan emphasized that skilling, starting from schools as envisioned in NEP 2020, is critical to shaping India as a global skills hub and economic driver.

The Minister highlighted the need to broaden the definition of jobs to include informal sectors and foster economic opportunities through a collaborative “whole-of-government” approach. He stressed preparing the workforce for technological disruptions by focusing on continuous upskilling and reskilling.

Dr. Mandaviya reiterated the government’s commitment to region-specific skills and employment models, citing the hub-and-spoke model outlined in the Union Budget. He emphasized integrating informal education into mainstream academics to create a robust talent pipeline.

The report serves as a diagnostic and roadmap for linking education with employment, identifying priority sectors and roles for job growth. It underscores the need for reforms like embedding skill-based education from grades 9–12, aligned with local industry needs.

India’s ambitious goal to achieve high-income economy status by 2047 hinges on addressing employment challenges through dynamic, convergent policies rooted in educational reform and market-aligned skill development. The "Jobs at Your Doorstep" report reinforces this vision, offering actionable insights to propel India towards becoming a global hub of skilled talent.

The exam date sheet should be changed because it is too early for student's. If it is too early no much more time for preparation for the exam
