CLAT Notification 2027 Available: The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) released the CLAT 2027 notification on July 22. The Consortium mentioned the exam dates in the official notification. CLAT 2027 exam date is December 6. CLAT Notification 2027
The Consortium notified only the exam date in a one-page notification. All the NLUs released their separate CLAT 2027 notification to notify their courses offered, number of seats, reservation criteria and other details applicable to that NLU. There are 25 NLUs which participate in the CLAT exam. NLU Delhi does not participate in the CLAT exam and conducts its own entrance exam - AILET.

CLAT 2027 Eligibility Criteria

CLAT Registration Form 2027
The Consortium activated the CLAT registration form link on its dedicated portal: consortiumofnlus.ac.in/clat-2027/. The candidates need to register for the CLAT exam with their mobile number and email. After registering, they can fill the application form. The last date to fill the CLAT registration is October 31 and the Consortium will soon notify the CLAT application correction dates on its portal. Candidates will be allowed to make changes in their details except the registered mobile number and email information.

A good rank in the CLAT exam for general category students is under 1,000–1,500 to secure admission in top-tier National Law Universities (NLUs). A rank under 500 is considered excellent for the top 5 NLUs, while a rank up to 3,000–5,000 can still secure a seat in newer, mid-tier NLUs.
As of 2026, 26 National Law Universities (NLUs) participate in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). These universities offer undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs, with over 5,600 seats available in total. NLU Delhi is the only exception, conducting its own entrance exam (AILET) rather than participating in CLAT
The CLAT PG Exam will be held for duration of two hours; i.e. from 2 pm to 4 pm. Candidates have to answer 120 questions in the given time frame. The scores of CLAT LLM 2027 score will be accepted by 19 NLUs in the country.
The CLAT exam duration is two hours for both the Undergraduate and Postgraduate. It will have 120 multiple choice questions. For each correct answer one makrs will be given and -0.25 will be deducted for incorrect ones.
CLAT Form Fee 2027
After filling the application form, candidates will be required to pay the CLAT form fee as prescribed for their category. The Consortium notified different CLAT exam fee for different categrories.

Only after paying the CLAT form fee, the application will be deemed complete.
CLAT Syllabus 2027
The Consortium states the CLAT syllabus on its portal. The exam conducting body mentioned the topics for the exam and their proportional weightage in the CLAT paper. Candidates can see the proportional weightage of each section below:

Apart from the CLATAdmit Card, candidates must carry the following documents to the exam centre:
- Passport-sized photograph (same as the one uploaded with the application form)
- A valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card/ Driving Licence/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Voter ID)

CLAT Marking Scheme
The candidates should note that there is a provision of negative marking in the exam. The CLAT marking scheme is given below:

CLAT Admit Card 2027
The Consortium is expected to release the hall ticket for the exam around 10 days before the exam date. The Consortium will release the CLAT 2027 admit card by November 24 tentavily under the candidates login. The candidates will be able to download their admit card in the following manner:
- Visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in
- Click on CLAT admit card download tab displayed on screen
- You will be redirected to the login window.
- Enter registration/application number and date of birth.
- CLAT 2027 admit card will appear on screen.
- Read all the details printed on it carefully.
- Take a printout of the CLAT admit card
The candidates will be requiired to carry one photo identity card issued by the Government Authority. After the exam the Consortium will release the CLAT answer key and ask the candiddates to send objections against the incorrect queestions/answers. Based on the inputs from candidates and the review panel, the Consortium will release the final answer key based on which the CLAT result will be released.

Yes, the Consortium removed two Test Cities from the CLAT 2027. The removed test cities are Vellore and Tiruvarur. CLAT 2027 exam date is December 6.

No, candidates who fulfill OP Jindal Global University BBA LLB (hons) eligibility criteria cannot apply with a CLAT-UG score. This institute only accepts admission based on LNAT-UK exam. No other entrance exams are accepted during admissions to this course.
