SBI Clerk exam day guidelines 2023 have been released by SBI for the prelims exam. SBI Clerk exam day guidelines highlight what to bring, what not to bring, required documents to be brought on the exam day, and general tips for the exam.

SBI_Clerk_exam_day_guidelines SBI Clerk exam day guidelines 2023 for the mains exam have been released by the State Bank of India. The mains exam of SBI Clerk 2023 is scheduled to be conducted on January 5, 6, 11 and 12, 2024.  Candidates need to follow a set of rules and regulations during the SBI Clerk mains exam. Those who do not follow the rules will not be allowed into the examination hall. There are several rules that candidates will need to abide by on the day of the exam, ranging from dress code to the required documents and stationery that are needed during the exam. SBI Clerk 2022 Exam Day General Guidelines

Instructions Related to SBI Clerk Admit Card

  • SBI Clerk 2023 mains admit card has been released. Candidates must bring the admit card with a valid ID proof such as PAN Card/Passport/Permanent Driving License/Voter’s Card/Photo Identity proof with photograph issued by a Gazetted Officer (on official letterhead)/Photo Identity proof issued by a People’s Representative along with a photograph (on official letterhead)/Identity Card issued by a recognised College/ University/Aadhar/E-Aadhar Card with a photograph /Bar Council ID Card with photograph/Employee ID) in original as well as a photocopy
  • Ration Card and Learner’s Driving License will not be accepted as valid ID proof 
  • Candidates need to carry the prelims admit card along with the mains admit card to the exam centre
  • Candidates must paste their photographs on the admit card and staple the photocopy of the photo-identity proof
  • Candidates must bring two additional photographs, the same as the one pasted on the admit card. Without the two additional photographs, candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates must bring glue for pasting the photos on attendance sheets
  • The photograph affixed on the admit card should match the one uploaded in the online application form, failing which candidates may not appear for the exam

Reporting time & other details

  • Candidates must report at SBI Clerk exam centre 15 minutes before the reporting time
  • Taking into account the social distancing norms, email and SMS will be forwarded to the candidates a day prior to the examination specifying the exact time of reporting to avoid over-crowding at the venue.
  • Latecomers will not be allowed to take the test. Candidates will not be permitted to leave the examination hall till the time the test is over

Registration at the exam centre

  • Registration at the exam centre will be done through photo capture. Photo captured will be matched with the photo uploaded by the candidates in the application form.
  • Photograph will be captured will candidates are standing
  • Seat numbers will be given to candidates at that time

Items permitted inside the exam centre

  • Candidates must bring stationery such as pencils, glue, eraser and ballpoint pen with them to the examination hall

Items not permitted inside the exam centre

  • Any stationary item such as textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, geometry/pencil box, plastic pouch, calculator, scale, writing pad, pen drives, log table, electronic pen/scanner are not allowed
  • Any communication device such as bluetooth, earphones, microphone, pager, health band, etc. is not allowed.
  • Other items such as goggles, handbags, hair-pin, hair-band, belt, cap, watch, camera, any metallic item, any eatable item opened or packed, any other item that could be used for unfair means for hiding communication devices such as camera, blue tooth devices, etc. are not allowed

Dress code

  • Candidates must wear light clothes which cannot be used for hiding any instruments or communication devices
  • They can wear half sleeves clothes but not with big buttons or any badge, brooches etc.
  • Candidates must wear slippers, sandals and not shoes
  • However, candidates coming in customary/religious dresses should report at the centre at least 20 minute prior to reporting time for proper checking
  • Candidates are advised not to avoid wearing ornaments such as ring, earrings, nose-pin, chain/necklace, pendants, badge, brooch etc.

Candidates can check below SBI Clerk exam day guidelines related to COVID-19:

  • Candidates are required to report at the exam centre strictly as per the time slot mentioned in the admit card
  • Mapping of candidates' roll numbers and lab numbers will not be displayed outside the exam centre but the same will be intimated to them individually at the time of entry to the exam centre
  • It is mandatory to wear mask
  • Candidates can wear gloves if they wish to
  • Candidates can carry personal transparent water and hand sanitiser of 50 ml
  • Candidates must maintain social distancing at the exam centre
  • Candidates must have Aarogya Setu app installed on their mobile phones. After displaying their health status to the security guard, they need to deposit it to the designated location
  • Candidates must bring a signed health declaration as per the format given in the admit card and show the security guard
  • The temperature of candidates will be checked at the entry gate
  • Rough sheets will be kept at the desk of each candidate
  • Candidates must drop the rough sheets in the boxes at the exit of the lab at the designated place
  • Candidate must stand in the row as per the instructions provided at venue
  • Candidates are allowed to appear only once for the examination. Multiple appearances will result in cancellation of candidature

IRIS Scan

IRIS will be scanned at the examination venue instead of biometric thumb impression. The process of capturing the IRIS is given below.

  • The candidate's left eye IRIS will be captured
  • Candidates should remove contact lenses and spectacles while capturing IRIS
  • While capturing the IRIS, half feet distance between scanner and eye will be maintained
