Statistics Entrance Exams
Admissions to BSc Statistics in India are conducted at the university or college level. There are no National or State level entrance exams for getting admission in B.Sc Statistics. Some of the entrance exams conducted by different Universities all over India are ISI exam by Indian Statistical Institute, GSAT, BHU UET, DSAT, and SUAT.
These entrance exams are conducted in the format of Multiple Choice Questions. The students are required to score marks above the cut-off in order to secure their seats. The difficulty level of these entrance exams ranges from high to moderate. The subjects to be studied include Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Statistics.
Statistics Syllabus for Distance Learning Courses
The students also take distance learning programs for the statistics course so that they could pursue education at their convenience. The fee for pursuing distance learning may range from five thousand to one lakh which is lower than full-time courses. The syllabus and the examination pattern of distance programs are similar to the full-time regular courses but differ according to Universities. The duration of distance learning can be one or two years depending upon the course or diploma chosen.
Of the numerous distance programs, some of the most prominent ones are IGNOU, Osmania University, Acharya Nagarjuna University, and Guwahati University. The students can enrol themselves for the diploma after completing the eligibility criterion.
