Review of Calcutta University.
Placements: Being one of the top universities of India, Calcutta University provides very good placements for the students in various roles with the highest salary package of 7.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 4 LPA, which is pretty good for a master student of history.
Infrastructure: The buildings of Calcutta University carries great values with it. Labs are well-equipped with all the necessary items. The library is one of the best libraries that a university can have. Food served in the canteen is tasty, and the cooking process is very hygienic.
Faculty: Teachers are the assets of this university. They are very passionate, enthusiastic and highly qualified with lots of experiences. They are very helpful. The course curriculum is very relevant. If any students follow the core curriculum thoroughly, then they will be industry-ready.

No placements, excellent infrastructure and knowledge.
Placements: Since it is a degree course and not a technical one, people should not focus on placements. People prepare for NET and civil services after passing out from here. Many students from our batch also have gone abroad to study. This is not a placement-giving institution.
Infrastructure: Calcutta University, as we all know, has excellent infrastructure. Be it scientific labs and auditoriums. It has some MoUs with IISER also. Sports is always encouraged here in Calcutta University. I myself am a sports enthusiast and I love the facilities provided here.
Faculty: I have not seen as experienced faculty members as in Calcutta University. We are taught by real historians, whose papers have been published in leading journals and institutions. Many professors are from foreign universities. History from CU is a very good choice for a humanities student.
