Why I chose DTU CE not NSUT EE!
Placements: At DTU, about 50–60% of students get placed every year. The placement ratio of CE is lower than that of other technical branches and EE. Because CE cannot sit in all teaching placements while EE and other teaching branches like CSE, IT, ECE, and SE can. The highest package in civil engineering is 65 LPA, the lowest is 12 LPA and the average is 18 LPA.
Infrastructure: I am a first-year student so we has two options for hostels 1 bhk or 2 bhk flat in which 3 or 5 students live, respectively. But in our second year, we have proper hostel rooms with 2 or 3 seats. We also have a library that is open 24 hours a day. The infrastructure of DTU is vast. Here are a total of 11 hostels. Each hostel has its own management mess as well as a separate common area.
Faculty: I personally recommend you choose civil engineering if you want to do government service preparation because in this branch there is no workload but if you want a corporate job, you must prefer EE. And it's quite easy to pass every semester because all subjects in our branch, like CE 102, CE 104, and CE 106, are very easy.
Other: Also, we have night canteens in DTU like Nescafe and Kit Kat that are open at night for students. And personally, I tell you that DTU has so many fests. So you must prefer DTU over NSUT.

Why should you choose DTU if you are preparing for government services?
Placements: Placement-wise, DTU is better than NSUT, but core branches have a drawback here in that they cannot participate in teaching placements but can attend core company interviews. Top recruiting companies are generally core. The highest package for CE is 74 LPA, the lowest is 14 LPA, and the average is 20 LPA.
Infrastructure: DTU is filled with facilities. The entire campus is fully accredited and vetted. We have a library that contains all types of books and is also open at night during exam times. Additionally, we have a sports complex that includes all types of gaming courts, along with gyms and indoor games. Furthermore, we have a health center that operates 24 hours a day and provides free treatment to students.
Faculty: We have 8 hostels for boys and 3 for girls. All these hostels have their own separate mess, as well as separate indoor and TV rooms. Here, teachers provide us with industry-related problems to enhance our skills. Moreover, it's easy to pass every semester because we receive full marks in internals, and the pass percentage at DTU is 80–90%.

Dtu review by 2nd year student.
Placements: This year, approximately half of the students secured placements, with the highest placement being at 17 LPA. The average placement stood at 9 LPA. Notable recruiting companies included L&T, Tata Housing, Trident, and Samsung. Almost all students managed to secure internships, with assistance from professors and Ph.D. scholars.
Infrastructure: With a sprawling 170-acre campus, the infrastructure is commendable, albeit requiring considerable walking. The campus boasts stunning architecture, abundant greenery, spacious, air-conditioned classrooms, a three-story library with air conditioning, and Wi-Fi accessibility throughout. Additionally, the labs are equipped with up-to-date facilities.
Faculty: Teachers provide valuable assistance to students. The teaching staff consists of highly qualified individuals, many of whom hold PhDs. However, some teachers, particularly the older ones, are not diligent when it comes to attendance. The curriculum is designed to ensure that students are well-prepared for the industry. While the semester exams can be challenging, it is relatively easy to pass as only 35 marks are required, and teachers have the discretion to award up to 40 marks for attendance and assignments.
Other: I chose civil engineering course because it was one of best options I had Events and festivals in DTU are awesome.

Is DTU CE is better than NSUT EE?
Placements: The placement percentage of CE is 50-60%; it is quite harder for CE students to get placement in tech companies. The highest package of CSE is 1.2 crores, the lowest is 11 LPA, and the average is 16 LPA. Also, in CE, students got internships in the 3rd year in core and in tech startups.
Infrastructure: The labs of CE are highly advanced and have all types of equipment. The classes of DTU are fully ACified and WiFied. Also, we have a library that is open for 24 hours. We have a health center that is open for 24 hours. Also, we have 11 hostels for boys, all these hostels have their own separate messes. And we also have a sports complex that has all types of gaming courts.
Faculty: The teachers of CE in DTU are very chill; we can easily bunk classes without any punishment. Here, in CE, teachers teach us industry-related problems. And it is quite easy to pass every semester in civil engineering because students get full marks in internals. The pass percentage of CE is 80%.

    Delhi technological University.
Placements: I don't think DTU is a place for learning design. There is no motivation or good enough design atmosphere because 85% of seats are given to Delhi region, so students who don't even know about design, aren't interested in design, with ranks up to 3–4 thousand are studying there. Check the design profiles of the students there, disheartening! There's not even a separate building for the design department. As of now, I don't think you should keep DTU as a primary option. There are other private institutes which are definitely better than DTU for design. Try for Srishti Bangalore or MITID Pune. DTU's a big name, yes, but it's just not meant to teach design for now. Maybe in the next 4–5 years, the scenario could change. But a big NO to DTU for design!
Infrastructure: DTU, originally known as Delhi College of Engineering (DCE), is a famous college with top-notch facilities and services located on a vast 164-acre campus. A center of academic excellence, the library is extensively digitized and offers online access to many databases and periodicals. With facilities including cricket, football, hockey, and tennis fields, basketball courts, and a gymnasium, DTU's expansive Sports Complex is a hive of activity. DTU features a Central Library with a collection of books, periodicals, and research papers in addition to department-specific labs and equipment.
Faculty: Delhi Technological University faculty are Ph.D., diploma, and degree holders. The faculty at DTU are experienced. The below-mentioned are some of the Delhi Technological University faculty members: Faculty: We have top-notch and highly qualified faculty. All the professors are highly educated and have completed their Masters from DTU mostly. They are currently completing their PhDs or have done that already. In labs also, we get full assistance from the professors who help us out.
Other: DTU has strong industry connections and offers excellent placement opportunities to its students. More than 2459 students get placed at DTU placements every year.

Q:   Do I need 75% to get into DTU?

    A:

For admission to most of the undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered at Delhi Technological University, students are required to score 50% to 60% minimum aggregate in their last qualifying degree or course to be eligible. A course-wise list of eligibility criteria for DTU admission is mentioned in the following table:

    Course NameEligibility Criteria
    BTech

    Class 12 with 60%

    BDes

    A pass in Class 12

    BBA

    Class 12 with 50%

    MSc

Class 12 with 50% in Economics
    MTech

Relevant UG degree with at least 60%

    MDes

    4-year UG with 55%

    E-MBA

    Any UG degree with 60%

    E-MBAUG degree with 50%

    MSc

Relevant BSc/ UG degree with 55%

    E-MBA

    UG degree with 50%

    PhD

    Relevant PG degree with 55%

Hence, as per the table, it can be concluded that while all 75% scorers will be preferred at DTU, the minimum requirement to get admission and be eligible for DTU admission is comparatively low.

Q:   How can I get admission in DTU?

    A:

To get admission to BTech at DTU, go to the site of JAC Delhi and register yourself and according to the schedule attend the counseling. On the day of counseling bring all the required certificates as mentioned on the website of JAC Delhi. The list will come out on the website itself and you are done after paying all the fees. The admission is solely dependent on the rank in JEE MAIN. Check all the cutoffs of the previous years before attending the counselling.

Q:   I have scored less than 60% in 12th boards. Can I get admission for B.Tech at DTU?

    A:

To be eligible for applying to BTech admission at DTU, candidates must meet the minimum eligibility criteria specified by the university. For BTech admission, a candidate must have passed Class 12 with minimum 60%  aggregate with PCM and English Core as subjects. The minimum aggregate for various reserved categories is 50%-55%. Hence, whether the candidate is eligible to apply for BTech admission at DTU depends on their reservation category.

However, meeting the eligibility criteria does not gurantee admission at the university. The seat allocation is based on the applicant's score in JEE Main, followed by the JAC couselling. In case a candidate fails to secure a seat for BTech at DTU, they can check out other colleges offering ofline and online BTech courses.

Q:   Can I get admission in DTU? I have not appeared for JEE mains.

    A:

The admission criteria for BTech at DTU clearly state that JEE Mains rank is considered for the selection of eligible candidates. Therefore, it is suggested to get qualifying scores at JEE Mains for admission at DTU. Additionally, students are also required to go through the JAC counselling process to get a seat at Delhi Technological University. After the result of JEE Main, JAC counselling for seat allotment is usually conducted in four rounds. However, there are additional spot rounds conducted for vacant seats (if available).

Q:   Is there an entrance conducted by DTU for admission?

    A:

No, DTU does not conduct any entrance exam of its own for admission to any of the UG, PG or doctoral-level courses. Admission for the flagship BTech programme is based on JEE Main scores and the entire process of counselling are conducted by JAC Delhi. Further, DTU admission to all the remaining courses is mostly based on national/ university-level entrance exams, such as UCEED,  GATE,  CAT,  MAT and CMAT, among others. However, there are a few MBA specialised courses and BBA, admission to which is offered based on the past qualifying exam  (UG level) followed by an interview round.
