The dream college NIT Rourkela.
Placements: Around 90% of students in NIT Rourkela are placed, and the rest go for higher studies, and some make their own start-ups. The highest package was around 83.6 LPA, and the average is 13.6 LPA. Almost all the students get internships in tech companies and research and development.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of NIT Rourkela is well-maintained. The main buildings of NIT Rourkela have their own importance. All classes of 1st year and 2nd year are held in the lecture hall, and the rest of the classes are in their respective departments. There are canteens and restaurants, so if you are bored of eating mess food, you can go to the canteen.
Faculty: The faculty are very much co-operative and well-trained in their respective fields. If students have doubts regarding their subjects, they can directly approach the faculty advisor or the faculty itself. Examinations of subjects are taken as internal, mid-semester, and end-semester.
Other: I choose this course because, at my rank, it was the most suitable option.

It has really good infrastructure and faculty members at NIT Rourkela.
Placements: My batch has lots of smart and talented students. And as I told you, my course is Computer Science and Engineering. This course gives us vast knowledge about coding and programming languages. And in NIT Rourkela, top companies come to recruit talented students. The average package for the CSE branch is around 20L-25L.
Infrastructure: They have good and new infrastructure for the sports complex, and many more are in progress. The campus is very big, and there are all kinds of facilities like a hostel, a small clinic with the presence of a doctor 24x7, apartments for faculty members, a bookshop, and all kinds of needs that are required.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, and the teaching is good so far. The course is good too, but the exams are very rough. There is a library to study in during exam time, open until 12 AM, and you will get every book to study, and you can borrow them as well. And in the hostel, there is also a night canteen open to get some food while preparing for the exam.
Other: You can enjoy college life very much. And there are so many events, cultural fests, technical fests, and many more.

Very satisfied by joining the Institute.
Placements: Above 90% of students who are doing my course are placed in good companies. The highest package offered was 80 LPA, the lowest package was 8 LPA, and the average package offered is 12 LPA. Various companies like Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Infosys, Reliance, and many more offer jobs. Almost 80% of students got internships in TCS-type companies. Toppers may be recruited as managers and normal students as employees.
Infrastructure: The campus is very beautiful and green. The environment is much comfortable for studying, and there are different buildings for different departments. The Wi-Fi connection is very good and available for all students. Classrooms are big enough, and the library has all the latest and ancient book collections. The mess food is of high quality, and hygiene is maintained. Our hostel also has day and night canteen facilities, medical facilities, and inside the hostel, badminton, volleyball, and table tennis courts are available.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful and supportive, and at the time of exams, they take extra classes and give assignments for better results. The course curriculum is somewhat unique. Semester exams are very difficult, and the pass percentage is 35 for theory and 40 for practical.

There is no need for Chemistry and Environmental Engineering subjects in Computer Science and Engineering; they have to remove these subjects. Different kinds of fests are organized, and students come from different NITs and enjoy different cultures, folk, technology, etc. Different clubs are also in the college.

Integrated B.Sc. + M.Sc. in Mathematics - Batch of 2023

Campus Life at NIT ROURKELA (INTEGRATED M.Sc. MATHEMATICS).
Placements: Around 50% student who applied were placed, but the opportunities for Int. M.Sc. student were very less, although Maths was better than all the other three branches. Also, if you have a very keen interest in coding then you can go for it. No coursework include or shall help you in the placement process. There are few companies who come for teaching Like Aakash, Fiit JEE Byjus etc. But ezcept FIITJEE and AAKASH there packages are too low.
Infrastructure: Overall infrastructure for college is very good, its a very beautiful campus you can never get bored of it. But again talkinh about Int. M.Sc. you will be very dissapointed whilst comparing to other B.Teach bramches. Hostels are great there are badminton courts and volleyball courts in all hostels. Food was also great in our time cant say for now. Hostels activities are very engaging intra hostel tournaments inter hostel tournaments and many more things.
Faculty: Faculty members are great, there are some teachers whom you might find not so engaging but on the other hand there are some professors who are more than willing to help, Curriculum is basically of pure Maths you won't get any taste of applied Maths so don't expect anything more from it.
Other: If you have a very keen interest in Maths then you xan go for it, else I won't suggest to go for int. M.Sc. math just for the sake of getting into NIT. Also the math that you will be taught here will be completely different from what you have learnt in 11th and 12th.
