Good placements and an opportunity hub for everyone.
Placements: The placements were good in both core companies as well as mass recruiters. The percentage is not calculated yet but it is usually good. Recently, a student got 7 lacs/year salary from Mu Sigma. The placement scenarios are really good here. Infosys usually recruits in a bunch of 30 odd students equipped with coding skills at 25000/month salary, which is good to start. Many companies like Wipro, Infosys etc visit for mass recruitments while core companies like SML Isuzu, Anglo Eastern, Capgemini etc do come here for placing the students as well.
Infrastructure: The whole college campus is equipped with Wi-Fi so that one can use the Internet at a swashbuckling speed of 3 Mbps. The quality of labs is not that good because it is an old institute but the library is really good and I mean one can find every kind of book of their interest here. Medical facilities are available 24/7, and regular events keep happening in the campus like Mitra, Goonj, Udyami etc. The quality of food available in the canteen is average. The hostel rooms are a part of central Panjab University and people from every branch stay there. They are good according to the fee required to stay there.
Faculty: The faculty team of the mechanical department was very knowledgeable. They were very helpful in clarifying all the matters, whether they are related to studies or anything else. They all are well-qualified professors and they hold many projects with them too. One should always stay in touch with them to get new projects along their way.
Other: UIET is a good place to get exposure to the real world around. One can extract a large amount of experience and benefit out of it. It offers many opportunities to the new coming students and fills them with utmost confidence they need to survive in this competitive world.

No, PU don’t offer you distance education in B.tech. But, you can apply under the same in CCET College, Sector- 26 which is under PU.
