Faculty are good and supportive.
Placements: I graduated from SRM in 2021 with a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical. In mechanical, there is less opportunity (42%). The highest packages offered in Mech are 34 LPA and 12 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Microsoft, IBM, Infosys and ITC. The percentage of students who got internships from top IT companies.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are amazing. The college provides state-of-the-art facilities in Mech, including well-equipped labs and modern classrooms. The hostel facilities were comfortable rooms, hot water at any time, high-speed Wi-Fi and a good meal.
Faculty: The faculty are highly qualified with Masters and Ph.D.s and knowledgeable with 5 years of experience. The curriculum is relevant to Maechaincal. Teachers make students industry-ready. The semester exams are conducted by SRM University. They are very difficult.
Other: Good College.

I am dissatisfied because of the faculty members as they don't give proper guidance to the students.
Placements: Around 30% of the students from the mechanical branch are placed from the college. Almost 70% of them are placed in software and marketing companies. The highest salary package offered was 1.8 LPA. Mahendra, TCS and Bajaj, Cognizant Technology, Extra marks and business development company were the top recruiters. The role offered was as assistant manager. The highest salary package offered in our course was 8 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 5.2 LPA. Around 40% of the students got an internship from the college.
Infrastructure: The hostel is a waste of money and is very expensive. They do not provide proper food and are having very bad maintenance. They are charging nearly 1.2 LPA. The college doesn't provide any medical, sports and games faiclities.
Faculty: Some teachers of our college are very well on the subject whereas some don't even know the basics of subjects. Many of them are experienced, but they show some ego to clever students. The course curriculum is relevant and good, but there is practical knowledge. They explain the subject for the sake of marks.

Review of SRM IST Chennai, Vadapalani Campus.
Placements: Our college generally offers ample placement opportunities for students. More than 300 companies visit our university for bachelors placements. I got placed student with a salary package of 5.23 LPA, which is quite high for a mechanical student. But for computer science, the average salary package offered ranges from 1.8 LPA and up to 26 LPA or 27 LPA (top recruiters). Recruiting companies generally offer graduate engineer trainee position to freshers. More than 75% of the students who are eligible for placements get placed. Overall, the placement rate is 70%.
Infrastructure: Our campus is the least in terms of infrastructure. You just have a building and not even ground or anything. However, there is a fully air-conditioned building to study. Labs are not less to the main campus concerning facilities but not in terms of space. There is a Wi-Fi facility on the campus, which is available for all social media sites. Classrooms and libraries are fully air-conditioned and provide an experience like we are studying in foreign colleges. Our college doesn't have its own hostel, and it is renting a whole building and providing rooms. There is one campus at Virugumbakkam, and another at Ramapuram. Sports games are negligible as there is no space. Medical facilities are ample as there is a SIMS hospital near to the campus.
Faculty: Faculty members here are always very much helpful. They are ready to help you whenever needed, and they are well qualified. Despite it is a city campus, they are very good at English, which makes it flexible to other students in joining this campus. The teaching quality is excellent. The course curriculum is good, but it should be better. Students will be industry-ready as they will do an internship and a project by the time they complete their graduation.
Other: I chose this course because I had no other option, but I excelled in it. I suggest the duration of time allotted to labs can be improved, and our college should also take seriously about labs. Our college organises 3-4 fests in an academic year, and for every branch, one fest is conducted.

Students who got placed have good communication skills and basic knowledge.
Placements: Students who score above 75% in academics get placed. The highest salary package offered is 1.2 lacs per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 28,500 per month. Mostly IT companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc., visit our campus for placements. A top role offered to the students is an executive. The highest salary package offered in our course is 25 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges between 5-10 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. About 10% of the students got an internship, and among them, a few got an internship in core companies like Amazon. Few other students got an internship in Cuemath as a business executive role.
Infrastructure: The college provides facilities like library, labs and Wi-Fi facility. Facilities are good, which helps the students to learn. We can access them when we are in need. The hostel facility is away from the campus. Our campus is in Vadapalani, but our hostel is in Ramapuram, which is 6 km away. Food served to the students is good in the morning and evening. Some days in the afternoon, food served does not taste well. Our campus is small compared to the other campus. We can participate in games and sports. But for in our campus, we don't have a playground.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are helpful. We can clarify doubt and approach them whenever we have trouble in understanding, about a project or any topic in which we are confused. They help us and provide a better understanding of the concept. The course curriculum is relevant, and it follows based on norms and procedures. In my opinion, the course curriculum is not enough. Only industry exposure helps students to understand it better. More industry knowledge should be provided to the students.

The college fee is high. Regulation and evaluation is tough for core branches. Placements are good.
Placements: Good placements and they are common for all the SRM campuses. Placements for CSE department are excellent with almost all the top companies visit the campus. The lowest package offered is 2.5 LPA, and the highest package offered is 3.5 LPA. But for core branches, the placements are not much good.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average in Vadapalani and Ramapuram campus. The main campus is excellent, and the Wi-Fi facility is available for laptops. No sports facility in VDP campus. Good hostels, but very expensive. There are hospitals on the campus, which is a great advantage. Good library facility is available.
Faculty: Faculty members are good. The course is the same old syllabus which needs to be revised. The student to faculty ratio is 12:1. Teachers are helpful, and mostly they use PPT for teaching, which is boring. Teachers have a decent knowledge, but there is a lack of teachers from IITs.
Other: National events like MILAN and Aarush are conducted, which are great. Connectivity is good. Scholarships are provided according to SRMJEEE, sports quota and semester exams.
