Q:   Can I take admission to DU with 60% in Class 12?

A:

DU is considered one of the most competitive universities in India for Commerce, Science and Arts education at the undergraduate level. The university and its affiliated colleges was attracting the cream layer of crowd till the time admission was subject to Class 12 scores. While reserved category candidates still had minor chances of getting into a not-so-popular course of DU with 60% in Class 12, a General category student with 60% had no chance of getting into any good college or course at DU.

However, starting 2022, DU admission process has shifted to CUET-UG based admission process. Those with a valid score in CUET UG exam who have passed their Class 12 are eligible to take admission now. While the chances of getting into a good DU college are still low at this score, the chances of getting a seat have increased now (provided you score extremely well in CUET UG).

College is good in everything except the infrastructure.
Placements: 85 percent of the students are placed in my course. The lowest package, according to my course, is 20000 and the highest is 50,000. Not many but some private companies recruit from here. In my course, the majority of students are preparing for government jobs, so they have no choice but to go to other companies .
Infrastructure: Infrastructure and facilities are not good. The foods are available in the canteen, which is also good. The seating arrangements are also very good but they are very dirty some times, so we need to make clean place where we are come to eat and have lunch, etc.
Faculty: Teaching is excellent and most classes are running regularly. There is not much doubt in the teachers teachings. The professors are giving us study material so we are studying with our free minds.
Other: I chose this course because it will be easy to prepare for my future studies and prepare for my goal without any problems. Preparation are running well by this course and by the study material .

B.A. in Economics + Human Resource Management (HRM) - Batch of 2025
Offered by Dyal Singh Evening College, University of Delhi
4.6
4Placements4Infrastructure5Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life5Value for Money
Satisfied due to the teaching staff and events that are held in our college.
Placements: Many students got placed. As of the number, it can't be stated. The highest package that was offered was around 6 LPA, the lowest was 2.5 LPA, and the average was 4 LPA. Companies named UnHR, and many others, came. Around 50-60% got internships. Top roles can be HR, in telesales, recruiter, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is really good; it has the largest area among all the south campus colleges. Wi-Fi is also available, and the labs are also well-furnished. The library is also well-maintained. If we talk about the hostel, there isn't any hostel provided, but yes, PGs and flats are there near our college, which can be affordable if researched properly.
Faculty: The faculty is really cooperative and also accountable for all the things asked. Teachers here are also very helpful and well-qualified and knowledgeable as well. Yes, this course curriculum is really very relevant. One can pursue an HR course and even economics as well. Semester exams are not that tough if studied properly. The passing percentage is the same as normal colleges, i.e., more than 5-6 CGPA.
Other: I chose this course as it was something that interests me, that is, HR and economics. Also, one can go into the business analyst line as well, while pursuing this course. If I would like to improve something in my course, I would like to add a business analyst course as a whole to it. And about fests and all, there exist many fests and events in our college, and the extracurricular activities, i.e., societies and all, are also many, and one can participate in cultural activities as well, along with case study competitions.

3Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty5Crowd & Campus Life3Value for Money
The Gargi College: Really good crowd and supportive classmates and faculty members.
Placements: There has been no placement from our batchmates because we are in the 1st year, and usually, the college doesn't take students from 1st year. The highest package in my course depends on the factors, but the highest is 7.8 Lacs per annum, and the average is 4 Lacs.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. The buildings are interconnected with each other, and there are many departments, such as the English department, Psychology department, etc. There is a department for each course. There is no Wi-Fi in our college for the students, but yes, there are labs, classrooms, and a library, which are quite good but very small. There is no hostel in the college, and there is no variety of food.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful, and some of the teachers are Ph.D. holders, while many of them are pursuing their Ph.D. The semester exams are moderate in level. If you have the ability for critical thinking, you can easily pass them. 1 DSC is of 160 marks, with 90 marks for the theoretical exam, and the rest is for internals. The passing mark is 33% out of 160.
Other: The college is good and very peaceful. There's no fight or argument ever done in the college. The environment is good, and there are many trees that provide greenery. The seniors are very helpful and support us, trying to help us until we are comfortable with the college environment.

Yes I am dissatisfied with the college.
Placements: I have generally not heard about placements from my department students who try for IIT JAM and other field jobs. some go for UPSC government exams students come here to do coaching and other curricular activities which develop their personality physically as well as mentally.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi facility is okok not too good mostly washrooms GATE doesnot have latch. Library is fine and canteen requires cleanliness also the classroom are cheated as in summer there in no proper ventilation and fans working, also no edu comp classes held.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful if you are regular usually students study just for the sake of exams, not seriously and most of the teachers focus on the quick covering of the syllabus In the end students have to study on their own. Stone hardly managed to pass due to their carelessness.
Other: There are a lot of groups in our batch. No fest no alumni, not good crowd students are much involved in politics.
