GSEB SSC Grading Pattern 2025
Students must also go through the GSEB SSC Grading pattern 2025 to have a fair idea about how they will be marked in the GSEB Class 10 examinations.
- Till 2010, a candidate’s percentage of total marks obtained used to determine his or her rank. Since 2011, a percentile system has been introduced
- The percentile rank can be calculated as follows:
Step 1: The percentile is to be subtracted from 100
Step 2: The number obtained is multiplied by the total number of candidates who appeared for the exam in that group.
Step 3: The number obtained from the previous step is divided by 100 to get the rank.
- This system provides a rank to all the candidates who have appeared for the exam instead of just the top 10 candidates
- Instead of individual evaluation of marks, focusing on the group eases the process of calculating a candidate’s chances of admission to the graduate studies
