IIT BHU's placement season in 2022 saw remarkable success with over 1,000 job offers extended. Among the highlights were 305 Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs), and an impressive 308 companies participating in the campus recruitment drive. A total of 640 students secured placements, with nearly 192 global companies offering full-time roles. Notably, on the first day of placements, 335 offers were made. Some of the prominent recruiters included Graviton Research Capital, Rakuten, Microsoft, Google, and Reliance.

GATE qualifying cutoff is the institute eligibility cutoff, and on the other hand, the GATE admission cutoff ensures a call for admission at IITs, NITs, IITs, and CFTIs. Check below in detail: GATE Qualifying Cutoff: It is the minimum mark a candidate must score so that he or she is eligible for admission. But this does not mean that a candidate is selected for admission. Actually, it is fixed before the announcement of GATE results. It is announced by the conducting IIT and available on GOAPS. It includes qualifying marks for each paper. Admission GATE Cutoffs: It is the final opening and closing rank score fixed by the participating institutes for the selection of candidates. It is to be noted here that meeting the admission GATE cutoff does not mean that the candidates will be selected for admission. It is fixed after the GATE result date. It is declared by the individual participating institutes and available on their respective counselling portals (CCMT/ COAP).

IIT BHU's ranking in the Engineering category has shown the following trends in recent years:

• In 2022, it improved to the 13th position.

For 2023, the cut-off was 10232 for General category candidates in All India quota for BTech in Civil Engineering in IIT BHU, Varanasi - Indian Institute of Technology. Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 55% aggregate is the basic eligibility for MSc offered at IIT Varanasi. Candidates with a minimum of aggregate are eligible for the course.

Yes, IIT BHU offers Merit-cum-Means scholarships to 25% undergraduate students. Besides, there are several endowment scholarships offered by the Institute. Some other facilities are also provided to undergraduate students in the form of Institute free studentship, scholarships, reimbursement of mess charges and pocket allowances to the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. All the students (non-sponsored) admitted to M.Tech or MPharm programmes are provided financial assistance equivalent to the Junior Research Fellowships. The institute also offers a large number of Junior/Senior Research Fellowships to students admitted to PhD programmes.

The total tuition fee for the M.Tech programme at IIT BHU ranges between INR 40,000 - INR 4 lakh. The the highest, average and mean package offered was INR 40.18 LPA, INR 21.89 LPA and INR 24.11 LPA during IIT BHU placements 2022, respectively. Considering the total tuition fee and thje package secured this seems to be a good return on the investment. This is thye overall package and not specific to M.Tech programme.

COAP 2023 Round 10 (additional round of offers) was held between Jul 14 and Jul 15. GATE COAP counselling registration begins after the GATE result declaration. This year, the counselling registration started from Mar 18 and the window was open till May 10. To gain admission to BTech programmes at IIT Varanasi, candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by JEE Main and JEE Advanced. Eligible applicants are those who have successfully completed their Class 12 education in the Science stream with a minimum aggregate of 75% (or 65% for SC/ST/PwD candidates). Additionally, candidates must possess the necessary documents as evidence of their eligibility.

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Computer Science and Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology, BHU, Varanasi other than General category are - 389 for OBC, 218 for SC, 121 for ST, 125 for EWS, 51 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

IIT Varanasi Cutoff 2024 was concluded for admission to BTech, BArch and other courses, based on candidates' performance in JEE Advanced. As per the last-round cutoff, the closing cutoff for various courses ranged between 1071 and 22390. The toughest course out of all was BTech in Computer Science and Engineering, with the last-round closing rank of 107, for the General AI category candidates. The least competitive course was BArch, with the last-round cutoff of 22390, for the General AI category. Therefore, it s possible to get into IIT Varanasi with JEE Advanced arank of 9000. A few courses available at a rank of 9000 are BTech in Civil Engineering, BTech in Metallurgical Engineering, BTech in Pharmaceutical Engineering and Technology.
