The REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) exam consists of two papers - Paper I and Paper II. A:
There is no limit on the number of attempts for the REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) exam. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can appear for the exam as many times as they wish to improve their score or to qualify for different levels of teaching. However, candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria for each attempt, and they need to submit a fresh application form and pay the application fee for each attempt. REET Main Level 1 Exam Pattern

  • REET main level 2 exam is conducted for 300 marks 
  • REET main level 2 exam has a negative marking scheme. The candidates will be awarded +2 marks for each correct answer and 1/3 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer
  • The time duration of the REET main exam is 150 minutes 

Q:   What is the criteria for qualifying REET exam?

A:
To qualify the REET (Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers) exam, candidates need to secure the minimum qualifying marks set by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE). The minimum qualifying marks for each paper are as follows: A) For Paper-I: Candidates belonging to the General category need to score at least 60 per cent marks, while candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/MBC/EWS categories need to score at least 55 per cent marks to qualify the exam. The REET Level 2 syllabus comprises topics from five subjects- Child Development and Pedagogy, Language-I, Language-II and Mathematics and Science or Social Studies. Have a look at the detailed syllabus below:

REET Language-I & Language-II Syllabus for Level 2 

The REET Language-I and Language-II need to be different. Candidates can make the choice of languages from - Hindi, English, Urdu, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Punjabi and Gujarati. Have a look at the syllabus for the English language below:

REET Certificate Weightage

The weightage of the REET certificate has been revised for the recruitment of Level 1 and Level 2. It has been decided that the ratio of the weightage of scores in the REET exam to scores in graduation and boards will be 9:1. Earlier, the weightage of the certificate for the REET exam was 7:1.

Yes, the REET 2022 certificate is eligible to appear in the REET 2025 examination. REET certificate is issued valid for a period of three years, from the date when the results were declared. So the REET 2022 certificate should be valid till further REET examinations till the date of REET 2025 exam.

Please note that in the REET exam, the candidate needs to score more than the qualifying marks as decided by the authority, to be eligible for further processes. The Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers is one of the toughest exams to qualify in the state.
