RRB NTPC Result 2025: Railway Recruitment Boards will release RRB NTPC 2025 result for CBT 1 exam soon after the exam is conducted. The result of RRB NTPC 2025 will be announced on region-wise official websites of RRBs for different posts. The roll numbers of qualified candidates will be made available in PDF form. Along with the result, RRB NTPC cut off 2025 will also be released category-wise and post-wise. RRB NTPC scorecard will also be made available along with the result.

RRB NTPC result is calculated based on the percentile based normalisation. RRBs have prescribed category-wise qualifying marks for RRB NTPC exam. The qualifying marks for General, EWS categories are 40 per cent, for OBC and SC are 30 per cent and for ST category are 25 per cent.Based on RRB NTPC 2025 result for CBT 1, candidates are called for CBT 2. Those qualifying the CBT 2 are called for CBAT/Typing skill Test (As applicable). Candidates qualifying all the stages are called for document verification and medical exam. Candidates are required to secure the qualifying marks as per their categories in the exam. Q:   Is there minimum qualifying marks in RRB NTPC exam?

A:

Yes, there is a minimum qualifying cut off in RRB NTPC exam. The minimum qualifying marks for CBT 1 and 2 for General, EWS categories is 40 per cent, for OBC and SC is 30 per cent and for ST category is 25 per cent. In CBAT, candidates are required to secure a minimum T-score of 42 marks. Besides, cut off marks, candidates are also required to secure the qualifying marks as per their categories. Candidates need to secure the qualifying marks in CBTs and CBAT inorder to qualify the exam. The CBT 1 comprises questions from General Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. The total marks allotted to the CBT 1 are 100. The CBT 2 comprises questions from General Questions Awareness, Mathematics, and General Intelligence and Reasoning. Total marks allotted to the test are 120.

The raw score of RRB NTPC CBT 1 exam is computed as below:

  • Total questions - 100
  • No of questions ignored (question wrong, multiple options correct, etc.): 2
  • No of questions attempted: 60
  • No of questions attempted correctly: 54
  • No. of wrongly answers: 6
  • Positive marks: 54
  • Negative marks: 2
  • Net score: 54-2=52
  • Score out of 100: (52/98)*100= 53.06
  • Raw score= 53.06

How to Calculate RRB NTPC Scores?

The scores of candidates in RRB NTPC exam are calculated as per the marking scheme prescribed by the RRBs. The scores of candidates are calculated in the following manner:

  • For correct answers, candidates are given one mark
  • For the incorrect answer, 0.25 marks are deducted
  • The scores are calculated based on the number of correct answers after deducting the penalty for the wrong response

RRB NTPC Normalisation of Marks

Candidates for various stages are shortlisted based on the normalised marks obtained by them in CBT. The normalisation process is followed since the CBT is conducted in multiple sessions. The normalisation is done for first stage CBT, second stage CBT and CBAT. This process is done to adjust the difficulty level of question papers across different sessions. RRBs had revised the normalisation process. The marks obtained in the exam are calculated on the basis of an average score of the top one per cent of the candidates, considering all shifts. The marks are calculated up to five decimal places.

RRB NTPC salary is different for different posts. The starting basic salary range offered to undergraduate posts is INR 19,900 to 21,700. While, the graduate post employees are offered RRB NTPC salary in the range of INR 25,500 to INR 35,400. The monthly basic salary for Junior Clerk cum Typist is INR 19,900 while it is INR 35,400 for Station Master and Commercial Apprentice. Candidates are also entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA), Travel Allowance (TA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), pension benefits, and medical reimbursements.
