IIT Kharagpur has one of the largest college campuses. It is even bigger than the IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi and IIT Kanpur campuses combined. IITs are some of the top institutions in the country for Engineering education. However, their undergraduate programme in Architecture is also ranked well by NIRF. The cut off rank in Round 6 for BTech (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering is 3294 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Yes, the LLM entrance test at IIT Kharagpur features multiple-choice questions based on the Bar Council-approved LLB syllabus. Notably, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. Candidates must secure a minimum of 35% aggregate in each part of the Computer-Based Test (CBT) to qualify for the Personal Interview (PI) round. The final merit list is then determined by a 70% weightage for the CBT and a 30% weightage for the PI.

The admission of a candidate to the PhD programme of IIT Kharagpur is conducted by the Departmental Academic Committee (Post-Graduate and Research), abbreviated as DAC (PG&R), of the Department/Centre concerned, on the basis of

The answer is no. It is possible to get admission in any IIT with JEE Main score provided a student also qualifies the JEE Advanced exam. As per the official details of IIT Kharagpur admission, admission to IIT KGP fBTech programme is subject to a valid score in JEE Main and JEE Advanced followed by JoSAA Counselling. Additionally, students must have also completed their Class 12 with 75% aggregate (for the General category).
