Fully satisfied with teachers and having an amazing campus life, but placements are not very good.
Placements: The placements of the economics department are not very good. A very few companies come to hire the candidate, and they offer a very low pay out, and out of hundreds of students, they only select two or three students. University neither take any responsibility, nor try to suggest any job to rest of the students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Banaras Hindu University is amazing. Every department has their own library, and a central library is there where students from any department can visit and read or issue a book. It also has a vast playground, and at every corner, you will find constables sitting for the security purpose.
Faculty: BHU has a great ambience. The teachers there are very helpful and has a great knowledge of their subjects. They often conduct an extra class for students who find difficulty in studying maths and econometrics. They finish their syllabus timely before semester exams and also give advice related to career.
Other: In BHU, we celebrate 5 days cultural fest every year which is called Spandan. Here the students display their creative side in music, in several forms of dance, drama, literature, fine arts, quiz competition and many more other things.

Faculty of Arts, Banaras Hindu University. A better alternative.
Placements: I have done my Bachelor of Arts from Banaras Hindu University and now dream of a master of arts in economics. In terms of placements, my college was not identified as good, but placements do occur. On-campus placements are not so frequent, but the value of the degree is recognised as good as compared to other colleges in India.
Infrastructure: The buildings are very old but are well equipped with all the facilities. Classrooms and big, and the campus is Wi-Fi enabled. Labs are well equipped with all machinery and facilities. Hostel facilities for boys and girls are available on the campus with mess and canteen.
Faculty: Faculty of Arts has some of the brilliant professors in the field of Economics. The course curriculum is designed to cover all the aspects of Economics. You will find this college better than any college for economics in India, and this is the reason why students from all over the country come here to study economics.
Other: Apart from studies, the university provides all the facilities for personal development of the students. University provides opportunities in different hobby courses, swimming courses, dancing, singing, instruments playing, etc. Besides this, the university also has the green environment.
