ICFAI Business School will conduct the IBSAT 2024 exam. The exam is scheduled to be held on December 28 and December 29, 2024 in remote proctored Mode. The mode of examination has been announced by the authorities along with the release of notification. In online proctored examination, candidates will be able to take the exam from their homes. Candidates must have their own laptops/desktops to take the exam. If the exam is conducted in offline mode, IBSAT 2024 admit card will mention the exam centre and timing for the examination that is selected by the candidate. Candidates must report at the allotted exam centre on the day ofthe  examination.

IBSAT 2024 Exam Highlights

Before appearing for the IBSAT 2024 exam, candidates must know the important highlights related to the entrance examination as mentioned below: 

  • IBSAT exam 2024 will be conducted in a remote proctored mode across various states in India.
  • The exam will be conducted as per the date and time selected by the candidate.
  • IBSAT exam will be conducted for 120 minutes 
  • The question paper will be divided into four sections- Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, Reading Comprehension and Data Adequacy & Data Interpretation
  • The medium of the question paper will be in English only.
  • There will be no sectional limit. Candidates will be able to attempt any section at their convenience.  

IBSAT 2024 Exam Day Guidelines: Important Documents/ Things Required

Candidates must take note of the documents required on the day of the IBSAT examination. Check the list of the documents below: 

Q:   How can I book my slots for IBSAT?

A:

IBSAT 2024 slot booking window is open. Only registered candidates who will complete the application process along with the payment of the application fee can book the exam slot. To book the IBSAT exam slot candidates must follow the steps mentioned below:

Step 1- Visit the official website of IBS and login with the credentials

Step 2- Click on the tab ‘Schedule IBSAT’

Step 3- Click on the link provided for login

Step 4- Screen will now display the login page. Enter the credentials:

  • Application Number
  • Date of Birth (DDMMYYYY format)
  • Enter the captcha

Step 5- Click on the tab ‘Book a seat’

Step 6- Enter the following details:

  • Test name
  • City
  • Date
  • Test centre name
  • Test centre address

Step 7- Select the suitable exam timing and click on the tab ‘Book’

Step 8- Candidates will be given 1 minute to confirm the timing of the examination.

Step 9- Screen will now display the candidate and examination details.

Step 10- Download the IBSAT admit card.

Q:   When will be IBSAT exam conducted?

A:

IBSAT 2024 will be held on December 28 and December 29. IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education for admission to MBA/PGPM programmes offered by IBS campsues. IBSAT will be a Computer Based Test conducted for a duration of two hours. IBSAT exam is conducted to assess candidates in quantitative techniques, data adequacy, data interpretation, reading comprehension and analytical reasoning. IBSAT question paper will include 140 multiple choice questions of one mark each. There will be no negative marking for any incorrect answers or not attempted questions. Candidates having scores in GMAT/NMAT by GMAC/XAT/CAT (from 2022 onwards) will be exempted from taking IBSAT 2024 exam. 

Q:   What are IBSAT important dates?

A:

IBSAT 2024 important dates have been released on the ICFAI Business School website. Authorities released the IBSAT 2024 important dates in first week of July. Candidates preparing for the IBSAT 2024 exam must stay updated with the schedule. Check the updated schedule for IBSAT 2024 exam below:

IBSAT 2024 Registrations: The online registration process of IBSAT 2024 has commenced. Interested candidates will be able to register online for IBSAT 2024 to participate in exam. The last date for IBSAT registrations is expected to be in last week of December 2024.

IBSAT 2024 Hall Ticket: The admit card for IBSAT 2024 will be released online on the official website of ICFAI Business School. The admit card is available soon after slot booking. Only registered candidates will be able to download IBSAT 2023 admit cards till the date of examination. IBSAT admit card will be available in online mode only.

IBSAT 2024 Exam: The IBSAT 2024 exam will be conducted on December 28 and December 29. The exam will be a computer-based test mode.

IBSAT 2024 Results: The result of the IBSAT 2024 exam will be announced tentatively in last week of December 2024 on the official website. Candidates will be able to check their IBSAT result and download scorecards using their login credentials.

 IBSAT Exam Day Guidelines: What not to carry? 

On the day of the examination, candidates must not have any of the following items:   

  • Electronic gadgets such as smartwatches, mobile phones, headphones, earplugs and so forth. 
  • Fashion jewelry such as bracelets, chains, rings 
  • Eatable items such as chips, biscuits, chocolates, etc. 

 IBSAT Exam Day Guidelines: Do’s 

  • Candidates must login one hour before the given time of examination.
  • Test takers must check software and hardware requirements to appear for online IBSAT exam. 
  • Candidates must cooperate with the online proctor during the verification process.  
  • Test takers must keep the IBSAT admit card, identity proof and other important documents, without which candidates will not be permitted to take exam.  
  • Test takers must carefully listen to the instructions given by the invigilator on the day of examination. 
  • Candidates can attempt questions from any section as a priority. There will be no sectional time limit.

 IBSAT Exam Day Guidelines: Don’ts 

  • Test takers must not have any of the barred items to avoid cancellation of the exam. 
  • Candidates must not move from their seats upon completion of the exam until the invigilator advises them to. 
  • In case of tricky questions, do not panic. 
  • Don’t stick over solving a question, move to the next question to save time.  
  • Submit the answer key and rough sheet after completion of the exam.

Q:   I am unable to book IBSAT exam slot. What should I do?

A:

Incase candidates are unable to book the IBSAT exam slot, in such a scenario, candidates must check the internet connection and login again and try booking the IBSAT 2024 exam slot again. If the problem persists, candidates must immediately contact at IBS  office helpline number- +91–040–2344 0963/62/61/60 on working days. Candidates can also register their complaint on ibsat (at)ibsindia.org. Candidates must also try the following measures to book IBSAT exam slot/download the admit card:

  1. Candidates must make sure that they have a secure and smooth internet connection to download the IBSAT admit card.
  2. Candidates must ensure that they have entered the correct login credentials: application number and Password.
  3. Candidates must clear the browser cache and cookies and try again.
  4. Candidates can also try a upgraded browser to access the IBS website.
  5. Candidates must ensure that they have filled the complete IBSAT application form along with the payment of application fee of INR 1800

Q:   What actions can lead to the disqualification of the candidate during the IBSAT online proctored examination?

A:
If students are found violating the rules of the examination or trying to adopt the unfair means will be disqualified from the examination. The system will detect any kind of unusual movements and will notify the online proctor on the following circumstances: 1. Focus changed to a different window: student tabs out of the examination taking window. 2. Browser not supported: Student is using an older browser version or a non-compatible browser 3. Webcam is disabled: Students webcam is disabled 4. Face is not visible in the camera: Student is not looking into the camera. 5. Several faces in front of the camera: There are other people along with the examination taker. 6. Face does not match the profile: Student taking the examination is not the same person whose photo was captured before starting the examination and as per the Hall-Ticket. 7. Microphone muted or its volume is low: Student has muted the microphone. 8. Conversation or noise in the background: System has captured background noise. 9. Screen activities are not shared: student has stopped screen share activity. 10. Second display is used: Additional display like extended monitor has been connected. 11. Full-screen mode is disabled: student has disabled full screen mode.

Q:   When will be IBSAT selection rounds conducted?

A:

IBSAT selection process commences soon after the declaration of results. IBSAT 2024 selection rounds will be held from February 15 to 24, 2025, at IBS Hyderabad. Only candidates who will qualify the IBSAT 2024 or have qualified any of the national level entrance examinations- NMAT by GMAC, CAT, XAT scores are also called for the selection process during the prescribed period. The IBSAT 2024 selection process will consist of micro presentation and personal interview. Te final selection of the candidates will be based on the past academic records and performance of the candidate in micro presentation and personal interview. Candidates must report for the IBS selection process on the given date and time, failing which candidates will not be considered for admission to IBS campuses.

Q:   Which items are prohibited during IBSAT exam?

A:

IBSAT 2024 exam will be conducted in online proctored mode. In this mode of examination candidates will be able to take the exam form their own laptops/desktops at their convenience. In such a case, no test taker shall be allowed to keep with him/her any book, study material, handwritten or printed notes, headphone, mobile phone, pager, earphone, digital diary, calculator, bluetooth device, laptop, palmtop, smart watch, health band or any other electronic device or gadget. Also, candidates are also not allowed to use pen/pencil and paper for the IBSAT online test. No person, other than the IBSAT registered candidate, shall be present for the test. Candidate should not talk to any one during the test or read questions / answers aloud. If found, such candidates will be disqualified.

Q:   When will IBSAT notification release?

A:

ICFAI Business School will release the IBSAT 2025 notification at general.ibsindia.org. Candidates seeking admission to MBA/PGDM programme of IBS must fill the online application form. Authorities will commence the IBSAT 2025 registrations in first week of July 2024 and will end in third week of December 2025. IBSAT 2025 registration will be an online process.
