NRA CET Benefits & Advantages for Bank, SSC & Railways Exams: The Central Government has formed the National Recruitment Agency (NRA) to conduct a Common Eligibility Test (CET) to shortlist candidates for various Group B and C Non-Technical and Non-Gazetted posts. NRA CET will serve as a preliminary screening of candidates for the subsequent rounds of selection process. NRA CET will replace the prelims exams conducted for IBPS Clerk, RRB Group D, RRB NTPC, SSC MTS, SSC JHT, SSC Stenographer, SSC CPO, SSC GD, SSC CHSL and SSC CGL. At present, separate prelims/tier 1 exams are conducted by SSC, IBPS and Railways. With the introduction of NRA CET, candidates will have to appear for a one single exam. What is NRA CET?
NRA CET full form is National Recruitment Agency Common Eligibility Test. National Recruitment Agency is an independent specialised organisation responsible for conducting NRA CET for Class 10, 12 and graduate candidates inorder to screen candidates for further stages of the selection process. The NRA Common Entrance Test is the replacement of preliminary exams in SSC, RRB, and Banking exams.

Streamlined Selection Process
Every year more than 2 crore candidates appear for various government exams conducted by SSC, RRB and IBPS. For these exams, candidates need to undergo several stages of selection process. Currently, candidates are required to appear for multiple exams for preliminary stage conducted by different recruitment bodies. Thus, the common eligibility test resolves all this issue and candidates need to take only one common exam for preliminary screening.

Application Process
Currently, candidates are required to fill multiple applications to appear for various exams and for different posts and jobs. This becomes very hectic and time-consuming. Candidates are also required to pay application fees for separate exams. Now after the introduction of NRA CET, candidates need to fill only one application form and pay the application fees once. If applied one time and filled the applications, candidates can appear for multiple examinations. This is will save time and money for candidates.

Choosing Exam Centres & Scheduling Test
CET will be conducted online at about 1,000 NRA CET exam centres. These exam centres will be set up in almost around 700 districts of the country. NRA CET exam infrastructure will be created in about 117 districts. Recently, it was announced by the Central Government that there will be two NRA CET exam centres in Ladakh. This will help candidates in the rural region also to apply for the exam easily. Also, motivates students from far living regions to take up such government exams with lesser cost and easier process. Candidates will have the option to select the exam centre of their choice at the time of filling the application form. Candidates will not only be able to choose the test centre of their choice but will also be able to schedule the exam as per their convenience.
Medium of Exam
NRA CET will be conducted in multiple languages. NRA has decided to comduct CET exam in 12 languages. Currently, respective examination authorities are conducting NRA CET exam in English and Hindi. Candidates will be able to schedule their tests and choose exam centre of their choice.
Validity of NRA CET Score
NRA CET score of a candidate will be valid for three years. Best available NRA CET score of three years to be considered for selection/recruitment. NRA CET scores can be shared with central government, state governments, Union Territories (UTs), Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and private sector. Based on NRA CET score, final selection will be made through separate specialised tier-II/tier-III exams to be conducted by the respective recruitment agency (SSC/IBPS/RRB)
Number of Attempts
NRA CET exam can be attempted any number of times as long as candidates fulfil the eligibility criteria.

Save Time for Travelling
As there will be multiple exam centres, therefore instead of travelling to various regions, candidates can appear in one place for all exams. This serves as a big relief for candidates who had to travel far distances to appear for multiple government examinations.
NRA CET Exam Pattern 2022
NRA CET exam pattern will be divided into parts-A and B. Part A will consist of Basic Aptitude, Test of Reasoning, Verbal Ability, General Science and General Knowledge. Part B paper will test the candidate’s psychology and response to certain situations, qualifying in nature, yet mandatory for final appointments. Initially the test will be conducted in 12 languages including Hindi and English. Later on all the languages mentioned in the 8th Schedule of the Constitution will be added. The mode of NRA CET will be decided based on the number of applicants. NRA CET exam will be conducted at three levels-Class 10, Class 12, and graduation.
