SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria 2022: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has revised SSC CPO eligibility criteria.
Review Medical Exam (RME) of candidates found to be unfit during DME will be conducted in continuation of DME preferably on the next day of DME. Earlier, candidates who were found to be unfit were informed of the position and they could make an appeal before Review Medical Board within the prescribed time limit of 15 days.
SSC CPO eligibility comprises certain parameters such as age limit, educational qualification and nationality
. SSC CPO age limit is 20 to 25 years. The educational qualification prescribed for SSC CPO exam is graduation.
Departmental candidates among Constables, Head Constables and Assistant Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police with a minimum of three years of service and not more than 30 years (33 years for OBC and 35 years for SC/ST) are also eligible to apply for open and departmental vacancies of Sub-Inspector (Executive)-Male.
SSC CPO exam is conducted to select candidates for the post of Sub-Inspector (SI) in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).

SSC CPO eligibility criteria is prescribed by the Staff Selection Commission. What is the full form of SSC CPO?
CPO full form in SSC is Staff Selection Commission Central Police Organisation Exam. It is conducted once a year to recruit for the position of Sub Inspector in various departments such as Delhi Police, CAPF, BSF, ITBP, SSB department of Central Police organization.
What is qualification for CPO?
The qualification prescribed for SSC CPO exam is graduation. The age of candidates should be 20 to 25 years of age.
SSC CPO Age Limit 2022 as on January 1, 2022
The age of candidates applying to the post of SSC CPO should be between 20 to 25 years as on January 1, 2022. Candidates should be born between January 2, 1997, to January 1, 2002. The relaxation in the age limit provided to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories is given below:

SSC CPO Qualification 2022 as August 30, 2022
The educational qualification for SSC CPO 2022 exam is given below:
- Candidates must have completed a Bachelor’s degree from a recognised university or equivalent
- Candidates who have pursued their degrees/diplomas through open and distance learning mode of education can apply for the exam
- Those whose graduation is not complete as on the date of application are not eligible for the exam
- All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission in Computer Based Examinations, Physical Endurance Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) and Medical Examinations are required to produce all relevant Certificates in original such as Mark sheets/Provisional Degree/Diploma Certificate as proof of having acquired the minimum Educational Qualifications (EQs) on or before August 30 failing which the candidature of such candidates will be cancelled
SSC CPO Eligibility Criteria Additional Qualification (For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only)
Male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Measurement Tests. However, the candidates who do not have a Valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) are eligible for all other posts in CAPFs.
Can we do SSC CPO after 12th?
To be eligible for SSC CPO exam, candidates must have passed graduation from a recogised university.
Can 3rd year student apply for SSC CPO?
The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a university recognized by the UGC. The degree can be in any discipline.
Candidates in the final year of their Bachelor's degree are not eligible to appear for the exam.
SSC CPO 2022 Eligibility Criteria: Nationality
Candidates must be either a citizen of India or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan. Those who are a subject of Nepal or Bhutan must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the government of India.

Important Points:
- There is no minimum requirement of chest measurement for female candidates
- Ex-Servicemen applying for the posts are not required to undergo PET
- Weight standards for the candidates would be corresponding to the height standards for all posts
- Height and Chest standards relaxation are applicable for only those who would be producing a certificate in Proforma as prescribed in Annexure VIII from the competent authorities of the candidate’s home district
- Candidates failing to meet the standards of PET can appeal to the highest appellate authority on the PST/PET ground. The Appellate authority’s decision would be final, and no further appeals will be entertained
SSC CPO Medical Standards
All the candidates who qualify in Paper-II will be medically examined by the Medical Officer of the CAPFs or any other Medical Officer or Assistant Surgeon belonging to Grade-I of any Central/ State Govt. Hospital or Dispensary. RME of candidates found to be unfit during DME will be conducted on the next day of DME. The decision of the Re-Medical Board/ Review Medical Board will be final and no appeal/ representation against the decision of the Re-Medical Board/ Review Medical Board will be entertained.
Eye Test: Without wearing glasses, the minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 and near vision should be N6 and N9 of two eyes without correction. It will be a complete eye check-up and will include tests like Near sight vision, FarSight Vision and Irish Check. Candidates cannot use lenses on the day of the exam as the officials will check for them by rubbing the eyes. The candidate should possess high colour vision and must not have squint in eyes.
Lasik Surgery: Candidates undergone Lasik surgery are disqualified in medical exam. However, a doctor cannot determine if a candidate has undergone a Lasik surgery unless he or she admits to it. It can only be identified by a machine test and doctors conducting SSC CPO medical tests are not allowed to do it. So, answer accordingly.
Colour Blindness Test: Candidates would be asked to read numbers in a colour dotted Book to check for colour blindness.
Flat Foot and Knock Knee Check: Knock Knee test is done to determine whether a candidate’s Knees touch each other when standing at 90-degree angle. If they do, then the candidate is disqualified. In the Flat Foot test, the shape of a candidate’s foot is checked. It should be having a curve shape. If the foot is flat instead of curved, the candidate is disqualified.
Urine Sample Collection: It is like a routine check-up.
Sharp sensibility Checkup Test of Nose-Ear-Mouth and Teeth.
Blood Test: This is to check haemoglobin, STD, any other such diseases and CBC Report.
Physical Body Check: Candidate’s B.P, balanced weight and height, BMI calculation and the whole body is examined under this test.
X-Ray of Chest: This test is not done for female candidates as they do not have any chest criteria.
Hand Movement Test: Candidates are required to have efficient movement of hands and perfect hand carrying angles.
Apart from the above mentioned tests, candidates are also required to undergo the following tests:
- Ear Check:(must remember to clean your ears using buds before the medical test)
- Teeth: Your teeth must be proper and countable.
- Varicose Veins: These veins are found from feet to stomach. These are responsible for Varicocele.
- Arms: Arms should be properly movable.
- Hydrocele and also piles problem should not be there.
- Backbone: Your backbone should be in proper and straighten up the order
Is there any physical test for SSC CPO?
For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only male candidates must possess a valid Driving License for LMV (Motorcycle and Car) as on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.
What is the height for SSC CPO?
The height requirement for the male candidates belonging to the general category is 170 cm. The height requirement for the female candidates belonging to the general category is 157 cm.
