Q: What is the training period for SSC CPO?
The training syllabi for induction courses are confined to training institutions. The duration of training is usually of six to nine months. Indoor training involves imparting knowledge on various subjects under the law, police science, police rules, practical work, criminology, cybercrime and terrorism, human behavior, etc. The outdoor module trains the officers in several fields- physical exercise and drills, vehicle driving, handling of arms and weapons, and practice firing. Special emphasis is given to fitness and unarmed combat. Candidates selected through SSC CPO exam are appointed to the post of Sub Inspector with either the Delhi Police, the CAPF or as Assistant Sub Inspector in CISF. The CAPF is a Paramilitary force also known as the Central Armed Police Forces. It is not directly a wing of the Military and it comes under the Home Ministry.

SSC CPO Exam Day Guidelines 2024
SSC CPO exam day guidelines are prescribed by the examination authority which is SSC. The exam day guidelines are the rules and regulations set for the smooth conduct of the exam. Candidates can check below SSC CPO exam day guidelines 2024:
- Candidates must note down their name, roll number, ticket number, date, time and SSC CPO exam centres. These details are mentioned in SSC CPO admit card. In case candidates find any mistake in the details, they should inform the examination authority for correction
- Candidates must be present in the examination hall atleast half-an-hour before the exam. Candidates are allowed to leave the examination hall until the exam is over
- Candidates arriving at the exam centre late are not allowed to appear for the exam
- Bring the printed copy of their SSC CPO admit cards along with one valid photo-identity proof to the exam centre
- Candidates need to affix one photo on the admit card. Candidates need to submit one portion of their SSC CPO admit cards to the invigilator
- Candidates must leave the space for signature and left thumb impression as it needs to be signed infront of the invigilator
- Candidates must not bring books, slide rules, notebooks, pagers, mobile phones, written notes, calculators and other electronic gadgets to the exam centre
- Mobile phones, pagers, etc. are not allowed inside the exam centre
- Candidates will be provided sheets for rough work. They need to handover the rough sheets to the invigilator after the exam gets over

SSC CPO Paper 1 exam is conducted in computer-based mode. Questions in the exam are asked from General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude and English Comprehension.
