One of the best engineering colleges in West Bengal.

Placements: In the mechanical engineering department, almost everyone got a job, and their salary was almost 30k+. Many famous companies, like Pinnacle, RDC Cement, and Tega Industries, came and offered jobs. TPO did a great job. Basically every student goes for an internship.

Infrastructure: The hostel was too good. Good Food. Good atmosphere. In hostels & colleges, there is also Wi-Fi. Lab was the most interesting part of this college. That was too good. Canteen food was too good but needed a lot more improvement. We also have a badminton court and a kabaddi court.

Faculty: Teachers were so friendly & always helped to increase students knowledge. In West Bengal, I think Aliah University exam fees are lower than any other colleges. It's around 6k per semester. Exams are a little bit difficult but not too much; if you can study, then you can easily pass the exam.

Other: The mechanical department is the best department in this college.

All the pros and cons of Aliah University.

Placements: The only defect of the college is the placement rate of the college. It is very low as compared to other colleges. The average package is about 5 LPA. And the highest package is about 7 LPA. The placement rate is very low in Aliah University as compared to other institutions.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. The college has a big playground in which you can play cricket, football, volleyball, and many more sports with your friends. There is also a playroom in which you can play carrom and table tennis. Talking about the library, there is a well-maintained library for studying.

Faculty: The faculty members are very friendly with us. They support you in every situation. And talking about the curriculum, it is very good to be a good engineer. By studying this, you can become a good and well-knowledge engineer. The examination is held between 4-5 months.

Good university after IITs and NITs; go for it if it suits you.

Placements: Placement is all good here if you studied well, especially if you are in CSE. Then it's all good, but you have to study well, and you will get placement 100%. Nearly 90% of student get placed; the highest package was 5 crores PA and the lowest package was 3 to 4 LPA. The top recruiting companies are HCL, Wipro, ITC, Amazon, etc. The top roles were engineer and junior engineer.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is all good it's a state-run college so it has good infrastructure. The college looks amazing from outside; you can find all the respective labs and tutorial class for different subjects, and you will get unlimited Wi-Fi. Classrooms are in very good condition, there's a library where you can find all the books, and library has AC too. Talking about the hostels, they are also very good compared to other hostels. Food quality and cleanliness are all good.

Faculty: Teachers are well educated and all are very good at teaching, except some of them. Overall, the teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is very relevant and when teachers teach you the right way, it definitely makes you industry-ready. If you paid attention in class and practiced all topics well, then semester exams are easy to pass, but you have to work hard. Exams are somewhat tough, but you will get marks if you wrote well, as the university itself gives marks.

Other: I chose this course because my family suggested I do so. The course would be better if they reduced the syllabus; there are not many events, but you will have fun here; the events are different for each branch. Different branches conduct their own fests, but there's a common party called the IFTAR party, which you will enjoy a lot. There are sports competitions, too.

I am dissatisfied because of faculty members.

Placements: Only 5 to 10% of the students got placed from college. No reputed companies visit the campus. The salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. Mostly only IT companies visit the campus for recruitment. No students get any opportunity of internship from college. Only based software works were offered. I have completed 3 years in this course, but I do not understand why our faculty members are not helpful to us regarding any placement and job.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is very good. It has good classrooms and building. There are two hostels of 18 and 15 floors available. The library is fantastic. All the labs are available, but teachers are not enough encouraged to take labs, and this is a negative point. Free Wi-Fi is available for students.

Faculty: The course curriculum is good enough. But teaching quality is very bad. They don't know anything and hardly take any class. Most of the teachers have a well-qualified background from different good colleges, but they are not good teachers as a professor. One of our faculty members had some personal issues, so he did not take any classes for that semester.

Other: There is nothing good in this college, and I understood this after I joined college. I joined here because it is a government college, and I will get a scholarship for admission and stipend by the state government.

University is on the right path but needs to focus on some aspects.

Placements: Up to 40% of the students got placements through on-campus. Sometimes it will be more, but a minimum of 40% of placements happens every academic year. Placements in CSE and electronic are higher than average. The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Byju's is the top recruiting company. Internships are less, and maybe 20% of the students got an internship.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is quite good. The college building is awesome, and the location is perfect and accessible. Our college provides Wi-Fi, digital library, computer labs and high internet connectivity. The library is student-friendly, and books are also available. Canteen is reasonable, and medical facilities are also available. Sports and games occur less.

Faculty: Faculty members of our college are very friendly and well-behaved, and teaching technique is good. Some faculty members are highly talented, but some of them are average. The course curriculum is average, and students need more training in spite of reading a lot. Mechanical faculty members are good than others.
