Exceptional faculty and strong industry preparation.
Placements: In my geography course, about 85% of students were placed. The highest package offered was 10 LPA, the lowest was 3 LPA, and the average stood at 6 LPA. Top recruiting companies included GIS Corp., Eco Analytics, and Urban Solutions. Around 60% of students secured internships, mainly with Greentech and Smart City. Top roles included GIS Analyst, Environment Consultant, and Urban Planner.
Infrastructure: The facilities for the geography department are impressive, with strong Wi-Fi, well-equipped labs, spacious classrooms, and a comprehensive library. Hostels offer decent accommodation, though some rooms could use upgrades. The mess serves good-quality food, while the canteen has a variety of snacks. Medical facilities are adequate, and there are good options for sports and games.
Faculty: The teachers in my geography course are exceptional. Highly qualified, approachable, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is top-notch, making complex concepts easy to grasp. The curriculum is very relevant and prepares students well for industry demands. Semester exams can be challenging, but they are fair, with a pass percentage of around 50%.
