Great placements in 2023, great college with excellent faculty and rich history.
Placements: In instrumentation engineering almost 90% students get placed, the average package was of 8 LPA, the highest package was of 20 LPA which was offered by Siemens, the lowest package was 3.5 LPA, Top recruiters are cesc, samsung, siemens etc.60 percent students got internships, top roles were Engineer.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is excellent, every classroom is air conditioned, labs of every subject is presuch as Chemistry Physics electrical etc. Library is equipped with more than 1000 books. Hostels facilities are available for students whose home is atleast60 km away from college.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and they interact with students very closely, Most of the professors have decades of teaching experience. The fee is not expensive, but the infrastructure and placements are poor.
Placements: There are not many campus placements, as only a very few IT and core companies like TCS, Wipro, Haldia Petrochemicals, etc., visit here. Students mainly focus on the GATE exam for placements and higher education in IITs. The placements also vary according to the branch of students, like CS, IT etc. Students have very good placements compared to core engineering subjects because the IT industry has been booming in recent years.
Infrastructure: The college has outdated British-era classrooms, and the labs are pathetic because the instruments are very old and outdated for this generation. But computer labs are good and built on modern lines. A good hostel is available for candidates whose hometown is far away from Kolkata.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are good, but some are very mean to students. If someone tries to act smart in front of them, they will definitely fail that student in that subject. Then, the student will have to make an extra effort to clear the subject. The regular exams are held timely, but the supplementary exams do not happen regularly. The 2017 batch first-year supplementary exams were held in 2021, and the students had to wait for four years to clear their supply.
Other: I chose this college because it was a reputed government university, and I chose this course because it was what I was getting according to my rank. I didn't have any knowledge of what real engineering looks like.

This college is value for money and has low expenses.
Placements: I have researched through the web, almost of the students get placed in this college. The median salary package offered is 8.45 LPA. Many students get placed in IT sector companies such as Accenture and TCS.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this university is good as compared to other government colleges. The classrooms are well furnished, air-conditioned, and well-equipped library. It provides sports and games, and students are getting well-equipped rooms and canteen. I am a day scholar, so I do not know about hostel facilities.
Faculty: All of the teachers are well qualified, knowledgeable, and very helpful. They explained the concepts very easily, and it help students in our exams. They also took our doubts and give us quality time to solve them. The course curriculum is relevant, and the semester exams are moderately hard.
Other: It provides knowledgeable teachers. I would highly recommend this college to students.

Review of Calcutta University.
Placements: Almost 85% of the students got placed in our course. In our course, the highest salary package offered is 9 LPA, the average salary package offered is 4 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. Top recruiting companies are national instruments like ABB, Larsen & Toubro, Suzlon, Apna Technologies, etc. Instrumentation engineering is a good engineering stream.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are clean and modern with a projector machine. The college area is fully covered with Wi-Fi facilities. Food, sports, and game facilities are also available.
Faculty: Teachers were very helpful, well-educated, and qualified. Their teaching experience is very good, and some teachers teach us with their own notes. This course curriculum is relevant such that the students can be industry-ready. Semester exams in this college are very hard, but teachers are teaching very well, so 100% of the students are passed. Faculty members are very good and friendly. Their teaching method is very good.
Other: In this college, there are some special facilities. There is no ragging and politics, and seniors are very good and friendly. Teachers are also very good and friendly, and they always tell us to ask any doubt even the doubt seems very little. In this college, the fee structure is very low, so it is a good college and value for money. You can get a scholarship like SVMCM, OASIS, etc.

It is a very good college after Jadavpur University.
Placements: Seats in engineering are far less than any other engineering college in West Bengal. But most of the students get placed who apply for it and many go for higher studies. The average salary package offered is about 4 LPA, and the highest salary package offered was 6.5 LPA. TCS, Wipro, and cognizant are the mass recruiters. If you want a good internship you will need to find it by yourself.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is above average, and there is Wi-Fi. Labs and classrooms are good, and the library has a huge collection of books. I am not a hosteller but I heard from classmates that the hostel facility is good enough and hostel charges are very low. There is a canteen on every campus but don't expect many of sports and games.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good, knowledgeable, and helpful. The syllabus is according to current needs and industry-ready. In this covid time., online exams have been easier than normal exams but previously it was harder than other colleges' affiliated to MAKAUT. Many students fail in subjects but a year back is rare.
Other: I chose this course because I had an interest in electronics and could not get an ECE during admission. For improvement, I think they should teach programing more in the syllabus. Events and fests happen but not much, and the campus is not that very crowded. It is situated at the center of the city and transportation is very easy. Scholarships are available if you have good scores on the exam. Extracurricular activities have almost stopped because of Covid.
