The admission criteria for BTech at DTU clearly state that JEE Mains rank is considered for the selection of eligible candidates. Therefore, it is suggested to get qualifying scores at JEE Mains for admission at DTU. Additionally, students are also required to go through the JAC counselling process to get a seat at Delhi Technological University. After the result of JEE Main, JAC counselling for seat allotment is usually conducted in four rounds. However, there are additional spot rounds conducted for vacant seats (if available). 

The application process for all the courses offered via DTU is completely online. Candidates seeking admission to BTech are required to apply via JAC Delhi website, i.e. jacdelhi.nic.in. For admission 2023, counselling registration via JAC Delhi was started on May 20. JAC registration is a two-step online process where students have to fill out the online application form and then make the payment of the application fee. There is no comparison of IITs with DTU owing to the brand name IITs have for being India's best government Engineering colleges. However, as per the 2023 NIRF ranking released for Engineering colleges, DTU is closely completing with some IITs. DTU has concluded its placement drive for the batch passing out in 2022. As per the official statistics, 2,459 offers were made from over 400 companies that participated in DTU placements 2022. The highest international and domestic package stood at INR 1.8 crore per annum and INR 64.23 LPA, respectively. Further, the average and median package offered was INR 15.16 LPA and INR 11 LPA.  Prominent recruiters participated during Delhi Technological placements 2022 include Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. This information however, is sources from the overall placements report of DTU in the absence of BTech-specific placements data. DTU ranked 29 under the 'Engineering' category by the NIRF 2023. There are many IITs ranked before DTU under the same category. Also, it competes against the top-notch NITs and second-phase IITs in several specialisations of BTech. Hence, it is safe to say that DTU is as good as an IIT or an NIT in northern India. In fact, The Times Rankings 2022 ranked DTU number 1 in the Delhi NCR region for 'Engineering' category.

DTU BTech students are placed in top companies like Samsung, Microsoft, Zomato, and others. Also the BTech fee is not very high. To clear JEE Main, candidates must study according to the JEE Main syllabus and appear for as many JEE Main mock tests as possible. 

Delhi Technological University JAC Delhi cutoff 2024 is released for admisison to the BTech courses. The closing cutoff ranged between 8336 and, 54432. Candidates with a 40000 rank have the opportunity to enroll in Delhi Technological University for certain BTech specialisations.

The lowest or least competitive rank to get into DTU (Delhi Technological University) varies depending on the course and the category of the candidate. For instance, as per DTU JEE Main cutoff 2024, the lowest rank was 17367 for BTech in Biotechnology for General Category candidates. However, ranks for other categories may be different.  

DTU cutoff ranks for different courses and categories may vary every year based on various factors like the difficulty level of the exam, the number of applicants, and reservation policies.

For last year, the closing rank for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering was 4008 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission in DTU - Delhi Technological University.

As per the JEE Main Round 1 cutoff released by DTU for admission to the BTech programme, BTech CSE, IT, Software Engineering, Mathematics & Computer Engineering and Electronics and Communication Engineering are the top five and most competitive specialisations offered here.
